Q: Hey, i recently completed "Horror of the Deep" and i was wondering, is there anyway to obtain the other books? i chose zamorak and i need to know if i can get saradomin and guthix. plz answer, thaks! A: Yes, after you complete your Zamorak Book, you'll be able to buy a different book from Jossik for 5,000gp. Danielle DeBord Q: Hi, I have a few questions. I read EVERY question in your Q&A so I wouldn't waste your time and I'm almost positive you haven't answered these. 1) What do HAM members do? You said where they meet but I'm interested in what they do and who they are. 2)Where can you get ahold of nettles for nettle tea? 3)When is a farming skill coming, or is that just a rumor? Anyway my question is about how to get to Crandor. I recently got a clue scroll that requires me to go there, I know that the passage is through the volcano but I can't "open" the wall. Do I need to finish a quest? Be a certain level? What? A: Yes, in order to get through that passage in the Karamja Volcano you need to have completed the Dragon Slayer Quest, or at least have gotten to the part where you kill the Dragon and open up the passage from inside. Alerelean Q: I'm going to be traveling soon by airplane to another state, in which I will not have the internet, and therefore no access to Runescape. My question is that if I was not able to play or log on to Runescape for a long period of time, will my account be erased? Thanks. P.S. This site is amazing, Sal! I would recommend this site to any Runescape players. A: There's a limit to how long you can have an inactive account on RuneScape Classic, but I don't think that there's one for RuneScape. If you plan on not having access for several months, everything should be fine and you're account won't be erased. James Q: hay, nice website, heres my question. when levleing your skills for magic,range,str and atk, does it help to level ALL of then, for more chance of attacked metter and defending better? Im an archer, so would level attack, help me hit higher? A: Well naturally, having a higher attack or defense stat will help defend or hit better, and generally working on all of them at the same time will cause you to level more slowly. Attack really doesn't help Archers very much as you'll be attacking with a bow. A: You can buy Green Dragonhide armor from Oziach, found just west of Edgeville. A Curious Sister Q: Hi there, I have two brothers who enjoy playing runescape very much, but I find when they play it certain computer problems arise, things like the computer freezing and other things of that nature. We have a DSL connection as well as fire wall protection and Anti-Spam and Virus Blockers, so things should run smoothely as it does wiht most other sites. I was wondering after I saw a Q & A posted in August 2004, if runscape is REALLY safe? With so many people on one server at one time I wonder whether or not it's really all that safe for the computer, I mean I understand that with any site you go to there is a small risk of virus and things of that nature, but is this risk enhanced any by playing on runescape? Thanks for your time. A: As you aid, there's a risk visiting any site, but RuneScape is generally safe to play. Since you have a virus blocker and firewall (as well as a virus scanner I assume), you should be well protected. Make sure to have all of the windows patches and you should be fine. The fact that your computer is freezing sounds like it may need more memory (especially if it's an older computer) as RuneScape tends to use a lot of it! I'd suggest having around 512MB of memory to keep it running smoothly, and you can usually buy it at your local computer store. :) Kevin Q: Please answer this, because, I think you aleady got a form of the question but im still confused. I always thought that berets the fancy hats from tresure trails, aren't they members? In another Q&A i saw it was like you can trade all trimmed gilded and god armours. and berets... so are berets members and can be trade to fp, or just members? A: Well, Treasure Trails are only for members, but many of the unique Treasure Trail items (including Berets) are tradeable to freeplay. Minerzak Q: how do you get the black and red mystic outfit?thanx and just to let you know , your site rocks!! A: Mystic Robes are dropped by some of the Slayer monsters, including Basilisks, Infernal Mages, Cockatrices, Wall beasts and Rock Slugs to name a few. Randie Lamie Q: Many players when they are selling goods at the bank can display long and detailed text messages for whatever they are selling. They can post very fast and exactly the same everytime. Is there a way to "cut and paste" a message faster than retyping it all everytime? A: Macroing programs called "auto-typers" are most likely what they are using to "type" messages over and over again. Technically these programs are macros and Jagex *may* ban you for using them as software like that is against the rules. Rusty Nail Q: hey sal, saw ya the other day anyways i was wondering is it possible for f2p to wear the gilded armour (the full gold 1)??? A: Yes, freeplayers are able to wear Gilded armor, but it needs to be traded from a Member. Metroid829 Q: For combining runes, can you use tiaras instead of tallys, and if you can, will they get used up? A: No, you can only use Talismans for combining Runes. Popadophalis Q: If i was to become a member and i get an amount of member's items that exceeds the amount of room in the non members banks and my membership expires what happens to the extra members items in my bank? do they freeze or do they get deleted? A: Any items that happen to be over a freeplayer's limit will still be usable, and you'll still be able to take them out of your bank. You just won't be able to put anything else into your bank until you remove enough items to be back under the limit. No Snow3 Q: Im confused, on the front page of runescape, on the updates where the have just told about the new tiaras they say it is for f2p but in the game on the crafting skills page it says it is members, which one is it??? members or free play?? A: The reason that it says that is because of the fact that only Member can craft the new Tiaras. Freeplayers can enchant and use up to Body Tiaras, although Members must trade over crafted Tiaras for freeplayers to use. Chris Q: About the kitten to care sumbject. I was wondering is it possible for your cat if u don't feed it to die?? And this site rox!! and another question. Do u still get on runescape??? A: No, you're Kitten won't die. Instead it will run away to find a "new owner" (perhaps back to Gertrude?). And yes, I still play RuneScape from time to time. Kenneth Strunk Q: I dont know if this has been asked before but can non-members wear/get those gold, grey and lightblue coloured gloves? I would really lile to know. thnx A: Freeplayers can be traded the gloves from Canifis by Members, as that's the only place to get them. Cow Jerky34 Q: Sal This site rules its helped alot. What is Half of a key for? plz answer the question you rock A: A Half of a Key is just what it says it is: a Half of a Key. There are 2 halves, a Loop Half and a Teeth Half. Once put together the halves will create the Crystal Key, used in opening the Treasure Chest in Taverley. Inside will be an Uncut Dragonstone and some other loot. Trey940 Q: how do you get the h.a.m. robes and how do you get in there hide-out?If you have to be a member please tell me. P.S.your webstite is awsome A: The HAM hideout is found to the west of Lumbridge, in a small dilapidated building surrounded by Spiders. There should be a trapdoor inside; you'll need to pick the lock to climb down the ladder into the underground hideout. To get the Robes, you just need to pickpocket the members. The hideout is Members-Only. Saintorangez Q: Hey great site man, i had a question about the ring of wealth. You know how to says you get better drops? Well when they say better drops do they meen when u kill something instead of getting addy legs from the monster youll get addy plate? Is that what they meen by better drop? A: The Ring of Wealth actually just increases the chance of getting a rare drop from a monster. So, by wearing a Ring of Wealth while fighting Greater Demons will increase your chances of getting a Rune Great Helmet, or if you're fighting Abyssal Demons, your chances of getting an Abyssal Whip will be enhanced slightly. Dragon TCQ Q: Hey, Sal!! Want to say that your site is greatand I use it all the time!! I wanted to know what combet lvl your character is. Sorry this message is soooo long!! And the wizard at the draynor tower says i need to find a hollow tree...where can i find those? A: No, Splitbark Armor is only available to Members. Hollow Trees can be found in the swamp east of Canifis. X_Legolam_X Q: r mime clothes f2p or p2p, because i've really wanted some of them! A: Mime Clothes are for both freeplay and members, although it is very rare to come across a Mime Random Event and get a piece or 2 of the Mime's clothing as a reward. Basil Q: Hi Sal! This is a great website for Runescape Q's & A's! I'm writing this down because I read your update on Runescape and I wanted to know if Runescape is going to have houses that Runescape players can realy own? Is that true? Thanks for creating such a great website! P.S: Are Runescape players really going to get Horses to ride with in the upcoming Christmas? Your Buddy: Basil Khan A: Yes, evidently there are going to be Player Owned Houses by the end of the year, or so the updates on the official RuneScape site says. I can't really give any specific details about them, so I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens! But I don't think that there will ever be Horses in RuneScape, as it's already been widely discussed and Jagex doesn't really like the idea (or so it seams). :P Chaos Axis Q: I've noticed a lot of people are wearing black armor and I just wondered... What is the black armor's significance? Is is stronger than the others? How is it made? Thanks! By the way, I love your site! It helped me out in the majority of the quests. Thanks again! A: Black Armor doesn't really have any special significance, except for the fact that it looks cool. It's better than Steel, so it's a good option if you can't afford higher priced armor. Black armor can't be smithed, it can only be bought from shops such as the Champion's Guild, Horvik in Varrock, the Leg Shop in Al Kharid, or from certain monster drops. Poison352 Q: Hey Sal!! Do u get them by killing people or by winning cause I really want some for decrotive amour! please awsner A: To get a Castle Wars Ticket, your team needs to win a match. A: Damaged and Broken Armor (along with other Broken or Damaged items) are just junk and have no particular use in RuneScape. A: No, only certain Holiday Items can be returned to you if you lose it. Older items like Santa Hats, Party Hats, Pumpkins and Easter Eggs can't be returned to you. The untradeable items like Scythes, Yo-yos and Bunny Ears can be returned to you if you happen to lose them. Myrtle_ssj Q: salmoneus, i have this lil question that desperately need answered so please please please answer it! its about dragon slayer, but its not in the guide. Does it matter if u wear any armor when u are fighting the dragon as long as u have the anti-dragon shield?? answer asap. A: It's best to wear armor while fighting the dragon, even if it's not your best, as some armor is better than none at all. You'll have a very difficult time defeating Elvarg without armor, as he can hit you really hard, even with armor on. Nr927 Q: Hey sal. i sended 2 other tips. its my first time contributing something to this site. So..i was wondering, wut kind of rune items do greater demons drop? i just cant find the answer anywhere. so i thought i'll ask master of runescape for some help.
