June 2006 Q&A's
All of these Q&A's are from June 2006. Trebawa A: Aside from buying the halves from other players, the loop and teeth parts of the Crystal Key are dropped by various monsters, and given to you by Random Events. e dawg144 A: "Pl0x" is another way that players use to say "please." It looks a bit different than "plz" (probably from a typo), but it means the same thing. You can see a list of words like this here. Biohazard530 A: No one can actually make colored gloves, but there are all sorts of gloves that you can buy from the various towns in RuneScape. For example, you can get pastel-colored gloves from the Grand Tree, while you could get darker colored gloves from the shop in Canifis. Boreas A: If you happen to lose a Frog Mask or clothes, you need to get another token and exchange it at the Varrock Clothes Shop. Bludstar A: Apparently, with the game engine update in RuneScape, there is no way (currently known) to get the RuneScape music from the game. That guide is just for reference. Salrelmrox A: RuneScape is supposed to take place in the Medieval period (with castles, knights, swords and medieval-based weaponry, etc). dijitijy A: No, Rune Armor (g) and regular Rune Armor both have the same exact stats and there is no difference between them, besides the trimming. This is the same for the god armors and such. Flameninja00 A: The best way to submit guides (and corrections!) is on the forums. Just sign up for a free account and post in the appropriate submissions section. Of course, feel free to post in the other sections as well and join the community! :-) Envy A: Actually, all of the original RuneScape Classic accounts were copied over to the RuneScape (2) game, so we didn't need to start all over again. We kept all of our items, stats and quests on the new game. Of course, it was possible to transfer your items back to the old game if you wished to play RuneScape Classic rather than the new version of the game, but you could only have your items on one game rather than both. cup_holder3 A: Happy Xiayu A: No, you can only get a Marionette if you participated in (and completed) the Christmas 2005 event. Sonic Zach5 A: Your chance of getting a clue scroll doesn't decrease when you get one, but you can only have one at a time. So if you have one in your backpack (or in your bank), you wouldn't be able to get another until you solve (or drop) the first scroll. Goop2526 A: You can no longer turn items into "Certificates," but you can turn them into Bank Notes very easily. See the Bank Notes guide for specific instructions. The One A: RuneScape 2 is just the same as regular "RuneScape" - the one that most people play. Back when it was in BETA testing, it was called "RuneScape 2," while the old one was still being called "RuneScape." Once the BETA test was over, the first RuneScape was named "RuneScape Classic" (RSC), and RuneScape 2 was renamed to "RuneScape." So, you're already playing "RuneScape 2." :-) Joeythebest4 A: They're actually called Tortoise Shells, and can be obtained from Tortoises around the Khazard Battlefield and the swamp in the Tree Gnome Stronghold. Currently, there aren't any uses for these objects, but it's rumored to be used in some sort of armor in a future update (nothing has been confirmed though). Ray Satan13 A: There are all sorts of combinations you can use to make your text change. See the full list here. underdog788 A: No, you should NEVER give out your bank PIN or password to ANYONE who asks for it, as it will always be a scam. Jagex staff will NEVER ask you for your password or PIN, so you should never give any of this information out to anyone, even if they claim to be a Jagex Staff member. Stephanie A: You should be able to get another one from Almera (who you got the mask from in the first place). You may need to bring her some more Dwellberries for her to make another. AJ A: Unfortunately, freeplayers are unable to visit any player-owned houses, as they are members-only. Overmind A: The Gravedigger will still apear at random times (as before). You just won't be able to get any of those rewards. Mithril Silverlight A: If Norton detects a "hacktool," it means that the file is infected. Generally, a hacktool is used by a hacker to gain access to your computer, and if you run the program, it's very likely that the attacker will have complete control over your system. If you haven't already, you should have Norton delete the file and then run a full system scan as soon as possible. Arianwen A: PK stands for "Player Kill", although usually it is used as "PKer" (Player Killer) or "PKing" (Player Killing). See the Dictionary for more info. Robby A: Your rewards depend on the monster you get the first clue from. Generally, tougher enemies will drop clue scrolls leading to trimmed armor, while weaker ones will lead to regular items like black armor and dragonhide. Although we don't have a Treasure Trail guide on the website yet, we have an excellent guide in progress on the forum. See THIS topic for listings of monsters (and their clue scroll levels), and clue answers. Pure Fury10 A: If you use your Cannon for an extended amount of time, you'll get a message warning you about it decaying. You should be able to get around that by picking it up and setting it back down again. however, since your cannon has completely decayed, you need to visit the dwarf you bought it from (Nulodion, outside the entrance to the Dwarven mines) and get a replacement. |
