April 2006
- May 2006 Q&A's
All of these Q&A's are from April 2006 through May 2006. Wonder Kid73 A: You can obtain the bark for Splitbark Armor from Hollow trees, which grow around the city of Canifis. Please see the Splitbark Armor guide for info on making the armor. AmyRose67 A: The "Auto Retaliate" option simply means that if a monster or other enemy attacks you, your character will fight back. If it's turned off, your character won't fight back until you choose to attack the opponent. DrLeQuaak A: A Torn Page (S) can only be added to a Holy book, wile a Torn Page (G) can only be added to a Book of Balance (a Torn Page (Z) belongs to an Unholy Book). Ultimate Pker A: There are a number of things that the Ring Of Charos (a) allows you to do. Currently, you can't use the ring to decrease shop prices in stores, but several NPCs can be "persuaded" to discount certain services. for example, the cost of a Magic Carpet ride can be cut in half by charming a carpet merchant. The Fossegrimen near Rellekka can be tricked into thinking a Bass is a Shark, and will enchant your Lyre. A Ring Of Charos (a) guide is in the works, with even more things you can do with your ring, so keep an eye on the site's main page! a guy who loves salrelm! A: The best way to submit any kind of info (whether it be a map, guide, updated info or other stuff), would be to sign up for an account on our Forum and post in the appropriate submission section. Coinstar4 A: The Pure Essence mine is in the same place as the regular essence mine, and you get to it in the same way as before. In order to mine Pure Essence, you need to be at least level 30 Mining and you must be a Member. Sal rocks A: If you cancel membership for your account, you can later sign up again at any time. There's no limit to how many times you can cancel and re-sign-up for a membership. Ryboshx9 A: Puwet A: The problem with that, is trying to find somewhere safe to hide, while still being able to range Elvarg without him killing you. It *may* be possible to hide behind some of the stalagmites and range him, but beware that a single breath of his fire is enough to kill a RuneScaper. If you still want to try, I'd suggest bringing a crossbow and an antifire shield, and maybe some low-level fish first (to try out the possible places to hide). Open the passageway to the volcano, just in case you die and head back to Elvarg to try and find someplace to hide and range him. If you die, you're not going to lose much, and you'll still be able to get back by going through the volcano later on. If you find a spot, just let Elvarg kill you, then get your gear and head back to kill him. abudabi1 A: I always seem to get questions about this, so I'll answer this one. :P Yes, my real RuneScape name is Salmoneus. :) Bob A: You can't swim to the rock, because the river's current is too strong. Instead, you need to bring a rope with you and use it with the rock to get across. Tompekra A: It depends on a couple of things. First, if you have the bank space (ie: you're a member), a spare set of armor is good to have, in case you want to go PKing, or in case you lose your armor. Otherwise, you probably don't want to waste bank space. If you have expensive/rare armor (like a Barrows set), you may want to keep a spare set in cases that you don't want to risk losing everything. But if you have a set of Adamant armor, which is easy to replace, you probably don't want an extra set. Toys155555 A: 1) No, if you drop any sort of quest object or otherwise untradeable item,
it will simply disappear shortly; no one will be able to see it. Wizardfox123 A: A forum (or discussion forum) is a place where members can talk and discuss about a subject (or multiple subjects). There forums on this site allow members to discuss practically everything about RuneScape, set up trades, as questions and much more. It's really a fun place, so stop on over! mooshgonwild A: The Dragon 2H Sword only requires 60 Strength to wield, not 60 Attack. Windar92 A: You can buy Fez Hats from Ali's Fez Clothes shop in Al Kharid, but you must be a Member to use the shop and wear the hat. MajorCapataz A: No, it's not safe. For one thing, there's no way to tell if someone will just take your money and change the password, or use the recovery questions to change the password after you've paid. Not to mention the fact that it's illegal to buy or sell accounts in RuneScape, which is punishable by a ban if Jagex found out that you bought an account. El_Toro123 A: Powermining just means that you drop any ores that you mine from a rock. Usually, it's a fast-respawning ore, such as tin or iron which has a very low value, so you aren't losing much money. This means that you will level up faster because you won't be going back and forth to drop off your ores at a bank. Manberu A: Zombie Heads are Holiday Items which you could only get during the Halloween 2005 event. You can't get them anymore, since the event only lasted about a week. Firedrakex12 A: You must first complete the Druidic Ritual Quest before being able to begin the Herblore skill. Once you've completed that quest, you'll gain 2 levels in Herblore and you'll be able to identify your very first Guam Leaf and mix your first potion! Auron A: I actually make Steel Plates and high alch them for a profit, because the ores (coal and iron) are pretty easy to mine, and they fetch a decent profit. Of course, I could make Mithril or Adamant stuff, but those types of ores are more difficult to mine, and they require more coal to make a single bar. Doing some simple math (and factoring in time), you'll find that you can make more money and exp from Steel Plates than by making mith or adamant items. Personmage A: You can use your Crystal Key on the chest in Taverley (in the long building to the east of the 2H shop). |
