October 2004 Q&A's
All of these Q&A's are from October 2004. Uncoelf69
Q: Hi, im a serious Rs2 fan and im in a bit of a muddle. How do u get into the Champions Guild? Do u have to find it or what? Thankyou sal A: You just need 32 Quest Points in order to get into the Champion's Guild. The guild itself is just southwest of Varrock. Minoodle Q: I was jus wondering if there was an halloween drop yesterday bcuz I missed it if there was. Some1 said there wasn't 1 and I'm curious. And if there wasn't will there be another 1? thx! Great site Sal!! I love your Ranged guide! A: No, there wasn't a Halloween drop yesterday, and there will not be another again, as far as I know. I guess that the last Halloween drop was the last one, since many people complained about not getting a Scythe, and now with the various topics on the RuneScape Forums about them, Jagex has decided to stop them altogether. Tyler A: To make a bank note, go into your bank and at the bottom corner of the screen should be a button that says "note." Click that, and then withdraw the items you want to take out as a note. Zephyer 280 A: Jagex said that there are issues with the sound, but they're still working on it. Also, make sure you have the newest version of Java, which you can get from http://www.java.com. Sound only works with Internet Explorer too, so if you're using a different browser and want sound, use IE. I'm not sure if this will help, and if it doesn't, contact RuneScape Support. Anvil Expert Gatesentinel A: You need to first start the Dragon Slayer Quest, and then talk to the King of Lumbridge upstairs in the castle about a shield to fight Dragons with. Jonny A: You actually need to do the Dragon Slayer Quest to be able to wear any kind of Dragonhide leather. Ben Killer A: The only way to get a Ring of Wealth is to Craft it or buy it from another player, but they're a Member's Only item. Roshan A: The completely gold armor is the new armor from Treasure Trails, called Guilded Armor. There are also Trimmed Skirts now as well. The brown armor is the new Treebark Mage Armor which you can get from the Wizard's Tower after doing the Mort'ton Shades Quest. Strongbad A: You probably didn't get as much cash as expected because as you sell the plates to the store, the price for selling them goes down. It's best to use a High Alchemy spell on them to get the full amount of cash. Panther A: When a rock starts smoking, it means that it will explode if you keep mining at it, shich will damage your pick. Strongbad A: Actually, that Santa Hat is my good luck charm and it's my favorite kind of hat. Andrew A: Well, you could always try making a new character as a pker and have some fun in the wilderness, or you could find a skill that you like to work on. Sometimes it's also good to take a break from the game for awhile and do something else, and then come back to it after not playing for some time. Dagibit A: Full Black Helmets are sold in the Champion's Guild, but you'll have to kill Moss or Ice Giants to find a Black Kite Shield. Dakota A: Actually, I'm the only person that runs this site, and I write most of the guides for it. Kyle A: In RuneScape Classic, you can get fatigued by working on most of the skills in the game, and by sleeping on a bed you could get rested up so that you can work on them again. In RuneScape there is no Fatigue, so there's no need to sleep on beds (but I still wonder how anyone can live without sleeping:D). Pepsimies X A: For a Free-Player, the best place would probably be at the mine south of Al Kharid or the one southwest of Varrock. For a member, the best place would be the mine near Ardougne. Mark A: The Blue Moon Inn is in Varrock, near the Sword Shop and General Store. Redkerrin A: Canifis is found northeast of Varrock, but you need to have completed the Priest in Peril quest so that you can get to the town. Omega1310 A: If the pickaxe head just flies off, you just need to pick it up and use it with the handle. If you accidentally mined from a smoking rock and it was damaged, you'll need to bring it to Nurmof in the Dwarven Mines so that he can repair it for you. Roshan888 A: You actually can't buy a sliced banana. Instead, you just need to pick a regular 1 from a banana tree on Karamja and then cut it up with a knife. Ashish A: There's only 1 party room for Members, and that one is located in the Seer's Village. Ollieasaurus A: Shade robes have a good Magic defense, which is mainly why people wear them. Billy A: If your Members account expires, you'll still have all of your items, including Members objects, but you will be unable to use them until you renew your membership. If you have too many items in your bank, you won't be able to deposit anything new until you take some items out until it's under the Free-Play limit. As for Zamorak Robes, you can get them from killing Necromancers in the tower southeast of Ardougne. Nathan A: Specific monsters such as Men, Guards and Ice Warriors will sometimes drop a clue when they're defeated on a Member server. You have to solve that clue to get another, and after solving several, it will lead to either an NPC who will give you a treasure, or you'll have to dig it up. The actual treasure ranges from Runes and coins to trimmed armor. Jim A: IF holiday items are dropped, they're going to be for both Free-Play and Members, but I'm not completely sure if there's going to be a drop this year. Oinkers A: I'd definitely give it at least a week and a half to go from Toronto to England, but if it doesn't get there within 2 weeks, contact RuneScape support through their website. Joe A: Charcoal is only used in the Legends Quest, and it can be bought from the store north of Tai Bwo Wannai on Karamja, or made by using Coal with a fire. Pantooy A: Colored boots and gloves are bought from the clothing shop in Canafis for about 650gp each. The gloves can be traded to Free-Players by Members, but the boots are Members-Only. Georgia A: Rune Javelins can actually be bought from the Ranging Guild for about 520gp each. As for your other 2 questions, cooking and selling foods like Lobsters, Swordfish or Stew could be profitable. And of course I play RuneScape! You can see my stats on the Salmoneus Page. Chromana A: You can have your broken axe repaired by Bob, the axe seller in Lumbridge, but he'll charge you to fix it. Cool Dude A: Pie Dishes can be found in the Cook's Guild, and on the counter in Nurmof's Pickaxe shop in the Dwarven Mines. Joe A: I think that you can buy the Talisman from another person so that you can make the Runes, but I'm not completely sure about it. Siningpig11 A: It's a Mysterious Box, which when opened, you'll have to solve the easy puzzle to get a reward of coins or something else. If you don't answer it quickly, it will just keep multiplying, and you won't get a reward until you answer them all. Redkerrin A: I think that eventually, players with less experience will catch up with the more skilled ones, if they keep working at it. Tammy A: No, there isn't a shop to buy the potions from, but you can buy them from other players if you can't make them yourself. Ollieasaurus A: Chaos Druids are a great way to level up your Ranged, since they have weak Ranged defense. The Wolfmen in Canafis are also a good way to level your ranged up if you're a high leveled ranger. Jimmy Lin A: The RuneScape time is based on the time in England. Melissa210 A: I think that you can actually use either a cut or uncut diamond to get into that area of the Lost City. Damaxyz A: The Champion's Guild can be found just southwest of Varrock. Pantooy A: You need to have both completed the Dragon Slayer Quest and have 40 defense before you can wear a Rune Plate Mail. Shadow_Boy24 A: Furs and Silks have no real use in RuneScape other than to sell for a small amount of cash. Ultralord999 A: No, there really isn't any particular way to get a clue that leads to a piece of Saradomin armor, it's just by chance that you'll get a clue that eventually leads to a reward such as that. Kalle Damos A: Yellow robes, as well as several other new colors can be bought from the Canafis Clothing shop in a Members world. Arne Van Eycken A: You should be able to get back to the island by boat, but you may need to bring some planks back to the ship in Port Sarim to fix the boat, should it still be broken. Hajiid A: I'm not completely sure if you could do that, but there are a great deal of ways to pay for RuneScape Members, which you can check on the RuneScape website. Legend of jv A: No, the requirements to wear God Armor is just the same as wearing any other Rune Armor: 40 defense (and I think you need to have done the Dragon Slayer Quest to wear the Plate Mail). The reason I said that before, is because God Armor is just Rune armor with a God trimming on it. |
