October-November 2005 Q&A's
All of these Q&A's are from October through November 2005. Vlad211 A: No, you'll always have a 50% chance of smelting the ores, regardless of your level. It doesn't really matter what level you are; a level 99 will have the same chance of smelting the ores as a level 40. Deyna10 A: Unfortunately, Blamish Slime isn't tradeable, so you'll need 25 Herblore to make it for yourself. Javidavi_021 A: You can plant Mithril Seeds anywhere and they'll grow. Black and White flowers are the rarest kinds that you can get, but there isn't any particular place to plant them. It's pretty much based on luck. Bryan A: Check out the Quest Experience Guide in the Tips and guides section of the site for a full listing of quests and their experience rewards. Magma Armor0 A: No, Wilderness Capes are only available to Members. Dennis 231 A: You actually need to have 85 Slayer or higher before being able to take on Abyssal Demons, as you won't be able to hurt them without a high enough Slayer skill. Mr X A: You must be referring to Glarial's Tomb, from the Waterfall Quest. That guide will explain all about the tomb, and the Waterfall, where you'll find the fire giants. A-Brain18 A: Yes, you need to be wearing Glarial's Amulet each time you enter the tomb--otherwise the cliff will collapse and you'll be washed away down the river. Idj3 A: It sounds like you mean that you want to reformat your hard drive or reload Windows. This won't affect your RuneScape account, as your character's file is stored on the RuneScape servers, rather than your computer. Ken_Fox1 A: You need to get to the final part of the Barrows in order to get a reward. The more brothers you kill, the better the chance of getting a good reward. Hawky Bzn A: Well, I've just never had a reason to buy any Zamorak armor (because of the reason you mentioned). I've had my Santa Hat since the Christmas drop in 2002, and it's my favorite item in RuneScape, so I wear it just about everywhere I go. :-) Bigman A: You can get Abyssal Whips from Abyssal Demons, which are Slayer monsters which you can read more about in the Slayer guide. You need level 85 Slayer to kill them, and you should be a decent combat level to last long enough to get one of these rare drops. I'd suggest bringing plenty of food and the best armor that you can. Pur H0t Ch1c A: Well, Strength amulets add slightly more of a Strength bonus than Power amulets do, but Power amulets also add bonuses to attack, defense and prayer. Check the Magic guide for specific stats for the different amulets. Smartere1997 A: Yes, you'll keep all of your equipment and items if you die in the duel arena. The only way to win items from a match is if your opponent stakes items and loses. Testpilot123 A: Lots of monsters drop Law Runes, including Ice Warriors, Hobgoblins, Giants, Lesser Demons and even Dark Wizards, just to name a few. Glen A: Well it's supposed to, but only if your hitpoints drop below 10%. So if you had 60 hitpoints, you would only be teleported once you reach 5 hitpoints and you wouldn't be teleported if you had 7. So if you had 7 hitpoints remaining and then got hit for 7, you would die rather than get teleported. Skull Dude44 A: Yes, there's actually a Carpentry skill planned to be released sometime soon. It was planned to be released sometime this month (December), but it will probably be released sometime in 2006. There haven't been many details on what will be involved when training the skill, but most likely you'll be able to build furniture for a Player Owned House, which will most likely be released around the same time as the skill. Redfand145 A: You can get Zamorak robes from Necromancers, found in the necromancer tower southeast of Ardougne. Ryanboyd A: Yes, you just need to win a game of Gnomeball, and then you can keep the ball. Check out the Toys guide for more info. timmythabest A: You can drink as many potions as you want, but they won't increase your strength any more than the first one did, as the effects won't compound. Geo A: No, it will only decay while you're fighting, so you'll have about 15 hours of combat time before it is fully decayed and needs repairing. You'll also know how fr along the decay has gone, as you'll see a number next to the item's name indicating the status (100 is the best, 75, 50, 25, and 0 when it's fully decayed). Noname A: It depends on what you've been reported for. You could be muted for a smaller punishment, suspended or temporarily banned for a worse 'crime', or permanantly banned. If you didn't do anything, you probably have nothing to worry about, but you can still request a ban appeal from their website if you can explain what happened. Darksamus8 A: Be sure to check out the Screenshot Guide for an entire step-by-step walkthrough on taking screenshots for both a PC and Mac. Virtual Graffiti A: You can get a Dragon Woodcutting Axe as a rare drop from the new Dagganoth Kings located on Waterbirth Island. Joe Lessner A: There are a variety of things that I look int owhen rating the quests. I base the ratings on the length of the quests, the puzzles you might find and monsters you'll need to fight. Ired 3 A: It's actually a problem with Firefox and how it handles the RuneScape music. The only suggestion that I can make is to play using Internet Explorer or the official RuneScape client if you wish to listen to music. Rune Guy A: I'd highly suggest AGAINST downloading any outside programs related to RuneScape such as autominers, "stat-changers" or other programs that "auto." They will most likely contain viruses or trojans and attempt to steal your RuneScape password, or even mess your computer up! And even if they do work (which most don't), you will probably be banned for using a macro program, since Jagex can detect such programs. Cast A: You don't have anything to worry about, as they will see that the other player is using offensive language and they will probably take action against him anyways. They'll undertand that you jus taccidentally mis-clicked when reporting the player. |
