All of these Q&A's are from September 2005. Jacko918 A: Certificates are actually from RuneScape Classic, the first version of RuneScape (which is still around, but only available to members). You can't make certificates in RuneScape, but you can make Bank Notes. Check out the Bank Note Guide for more info. Augustus IV A: Right, you're unable to train strength using an Abyssal Whip. Any dragon weapon should be fine, it really depends on your preference. Battle axes hit slightly harder, Scimitars and Swords hit faster. And Abyssal Whips can be used at any Slayer level, there aren't any Slayer requirements to wield them. Nightelf1313 Q: Sup sal first i wanna say you and your site kick a**!!ok ummm how do i take snapshots or pictures or whatever you wanna call it? A: Please see the Screenshots guide for info on taking screenshots. Comicman04 Q: Hi sal ur site rocks. But i've got a big problem. I started the waterfall quest and boarded the raft but now I'm stuck on the island because I haven't got any rope! Is there any way to escape? A: If you don't have a rope with you, I believe that you can still click on the rock (further along the river) and your character will jump into the water. You'll be carried downstream and end up on land. Potatoce Q: YOUR SITE IS THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!! ummm, my Q is about the abyss. wheni try to go and craft deaths using the death rift... I cant get through! i tried soul and blood too, same thing! please help! A: The reason you can't go through the death rift is because of the fact that Death Runes aren't craftable yet. Rifts for Death, Blood and Soul Runes are there because eventually those Runes will be craftable (just not yet). Character X Q: Dear Sal, lol well i was reading some of ur old Q and A and 1 person asked "wats the highest possible combat lvl in runescape" u answered "i think its 123" well yester day i saw this guy who was lvl 124. i was wondering if ur answer chaged or if its a gitch or a cheat Ty A: Actually, that was back from RuneScape Classic. The highest possible combat level used to be 123. Because of how the combat level is calculated in the new (current) RuneScape, the highest level is 126. Shadow Coria Q: I know ill sound really stupid coming from a lvl 58, but how do you gain XP for defence? I've been training on lesser demons and gained alot of XP, but when i fight lvl 28 hobgoblins i dont get anything towards defence. Please Answer this, im dying to know! By the way, Your site RULES!! :P A: You'll want to open the combat menu while fighting (or before fighting), by clicking on the crossed sword icon. Then you can choose whether to fight on Accurate (Attack xp), Aggressive (Strength xp) or Defensive (Defense xp). You'll need to change this whenever you log in, as it will automatically be set to Accurate. Gharan Q: Hi Sal. As uve heard two trillion squillion (etc.) times, gr8 site! Anyway, your guide on how to get Runescape music is bugging me. You say that to embed music on your own web page, you need to upload the tune, but how exactly do I do this? Thx for your time. A: Well, it depends on your web host. There should be an option from inside your account to upload a file. You just need to link to this file using the given code in the guide. But, many free hosts like Freewebs may restrict the type of file you upload. If you're unable to upload music files, you'll have to find another hosting service to use to upload your file. Ken Fox1 Q: I was wondering... What slayer enemies must you kill to obtain Black and White mystic and where can i find them? Also, how much do white and black mystic pieces cost individualy? Plz answer. Thanks a lot. Awesome site you got here, i must say. A: These robes are sometimes dropped by Slayer monsters such as Infernal Mages. They are level 66 and require 45 Slayer. Dakat2005 Q: Hey sal(awsome site I use it everytime I get on runescape) anyway, can the creatures in the abyss only be killed if you have 85 slayer? plz reply A: The monsters in the Abyss aren't Slayer monsters (not to be confused with Abyssal Demons!), so there is no Slayer requirement to kill them. It refers to the temple where Delrith is found, south of Varrock, rather than the one in the Wilderness. 8Ball Q: Hey Sal! Great site it is! You havent answered any of my questions! Anyway, Ive got 50k and I want to buy a rune chain, but before i buy it do i have to beat the dragon slayer quest?Plz tell me! A: No, you can wear Rune Chain at any time, as long as you meet the level requirements (40 defense). The Dragon Slayer Quest allows you to wear Rune Platemail and Green Dragon Leather Bodies. Kool ilia Q: hi sal !!! i know i asked like 4-6 questions in 1 month and u never answered them !!! (sorry bout all that writing) gu-bi A: No, Tokkul can't be traded from other players. You can only obtain it by killing enemies in the fight Pits or by winning the game. Rebecca Q: My question is about exp gained from fighting different kinds of enemies. I have heard people says that you get lots of exp from fighting high-level monsters, such as a lesser demon (level 85). But do you really get more exp from fighting a demon then, say 4 level 20-something guards, giants or even 85 chickens? A: Actually, your experience depends on the monsters hitpoints. You'll always gain 4xp per damage you inflict on it (which yo to your main combat stat) and another 1.33xp that goes to your hitpoints. It doesn't matter if you're fighting a level 2 or a level 100 monster, you'll always get the same xp per hit. Most people prefer to train on stronger enemies though, as they give better drops and are sometimes faster to train on. Me Q: Hi.I feel stupid for asking thid because i bet everone else in the world knows the answer, but how do you make leather soft for the elemental workshop quest. Thanx A: Soft Leather is actually just Leather. You can get this by bringing a cowhide to a Tannery (there's 1 in Al Kharid) and having it made into regular leather. Ak62 Q: hey sal, since you are so rich.. why you do not buy god amour such as guthix, sara or zammy?? A: Well I'm not extremely rich, there are a lot of people that have much more cash than me. And although I could spend money on a cool set of Zamorak armor, I never saw the benefit to having it. Sure it looks cool, but it offers no extra protection. Plus, I like my robes. :) Cyborg56 Q: If i were to switch from eartlink to verizon dsl. Will my rs acc b deleted?? Will my membership b gone?? Plz answer this i really need to know b4 i switch A: No, your internet provider has nothing to do with your RuneScape account, so if you switch, your account will not be affected. Sweethoneyb7 Q: ops..i forgot ur suposed to rite ur rs thingo..oh wellz hiyaz...gee thx for tellin me bout rs midi's argh!! *woot* ..... well i waz wunderin, how do u make a runescape movie/animation.. ive been on sites that actually had rs movies... and ur animations are good too... heh A: It depends on what you'd like to make. I use Adobe Imageready for animations, although it's expensive for just doing stuff like that. There are all sorts of programs out there, some are free and others are not. Particularly for making videos, there's Camtasia Studio (which offers a free trial). It records your screen, and has the ability to record your voice too, which is useful in making tutorials. |
