Have you ever wondered how to get a piece of fancy-looking armor with trimming on it, or how much these armors may cost? These treasures are said to be rare, since there's only a possibility of obtaining a piece after completing a Members-Only Treasure Trail.

How to Get These Rewards

Treasure trails are a series of clue scrolls leading you to a final place in RuneScape where, when you search it or talk to the npc, you will be given a reward. There are 3 different levels of Treasure Trails.

Level 1 - You get cheaper rewards like Black armor of some sort, or if you're lucky you may get one of a few different styles of Black Heraldic kiteshields.
Level 2 - You will get more expensive rewards from level 2 trails, but they will take longer to complete. Examples of these rewards are : A style of trimmed Adamantite armor, a colored boater or even some trimmed green dragonhide armor.
Level 3 - You will get the most expensive rewards from these Trails. These will take a lot longer to complete though, and as well as being hard to get, you will need to fight either a saradomin wizard or zamorak wizard in order to dig for your treasure. For these trails you will need a sextant, watch and chart which you can get from the professor at the observatory. Examples of level 3 rewards are: Brand new enchanted robes, god or gilded rune armor or even a robin hood hat!

A Highwayman Mask - 25,000-35,000gp

Trimmed Blue Wizard Robes - 100,000-150,000gp

Helpful Info

Rewards where there are multiple rewards of that type are varied. You may get Plain, Trimmed or Gold trimmed, but it is random.

God Book Pages are rewards for all levels of trails.

You may not get the entire set of armor for melee, ranged armor and mage robe rewards. Once again, it is completely random. Heraldic Kiteshields come in 5 different styles for each type of armor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can armor be trimmed to make it into trimmed armor?
A. No, armor cant be trimmed by anyone, not even Jagex staff. The only way to obtain trimmed armor is from a Treasure Trail reward.

Q. How long will a Treasure Trail take to complete?
A. There is technically no answer to that question. It depends how you get around Runescape, how many clues you get on the way to the reward, and how long it takes you to work out where to go next. If you want to complete it quickly, do a few level 1 trails to practice getting around.

Q. Can you craft Trimmed ranged armor?
A. No, as with armor made from metal no-one can trim any type of armor. If someone gets trimmed armor of any sort without either buying it or completing a trail it is probably a fake.

Q. How many times can you use a firelighter before it runs out, and what do they do?
A. This depends on how many firelighters you have. At the minimum, they will only last once. The longer you save your Firelighters, the more you will be able to use them (up to 43 or more). When you light a fire using a firelighter it will be the color the firelighter is. For example, is you get a blue firelighter, the fire will be blue.

Q. Where's the Treasure Trail guide?
A. We do not have one yet, as we need a lot of info from players, and Treasure Trails are hard to come by so it is harder to get all the information needed.

Q: Does trimmed or god armor have better stats than regular armor? Is it any better?
A: No, trimmed armor has exactly the same stats as regular armor, and they give no extra bonuses or benefits. So, wearing a Saradomin Platebody is the same as wearing a regular one without any trimming.
