Playing at Webster Hall

Despite the massive hurricane damage, so thankful my band got asked to play at Webster Hall in New York City by Wicked Music Festival. Wicked Music Festival is the largest unsigned band festival in Canada and they host shows featuring bands like mine. The best part of this is that it's an actual serious show. Just a few months ago I saw some favorite bands play on that same stage. Not just that, but many more favorite bands have played on it too.   I love this lifestyle and I love everyone who

The Storm Begins

The next couple of days will render my state into a warzone. I've always wanted to stand outside in a hurricane and feel the power of the Earth with wind at speeds I am not accustomed. The hurricane last year was pretty intense and it was really cool to watch the clouds circulate from outside my window. The world was alive in a way that is not normally seen with flying debris and in a way it was beautiful because destruction is a form of creation.   During hurricane Irene last year, which was

RIP New Jersey

I don't live too far from the ocean so it's expected to get really bad here. Here is my hurricane theme song.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0GDgiKH1FE   If I am not online or have not contacted any of you by a week from today I was carried away by the wind. May we all live long lives.

Mayday Parade round 2 tomorrow

Pictures with Derek Sanders, lead singer from Mayday Parade! I love this band so much. We got pictures with the rest of the members but I won't fill it up here.   Also, I got The Maine's setlist last night! Never got one before but it looks real nice on my wall.

Seeing them with The Maine today in Philly (2 hour drive) and Friday (1 hour drive).   When your favorite band is on tour you go to every show within a 3 hour radius okay?

Dipping

Shout out to the kid in math who put in a huge lip of dipping tobacco right before the professor called on him. Our professor didn't even notice that the kid drooled all over the test he got back. What a pro.   Also, I used to dip throughout all of high school. I don't anymore. I won't tell you not to dip but I advise against it. Mouth cancer is quite messy and painful.

I never ask for girl advice

But how do you politely tell a girl you never talk to that she's the most beautiful woman you've ever seen and instead of wanting to push her against a wall and makeout with her you want to lay in bed and listen to The Beatles and travel to really scenic places and talk about how awesome life is and love each other's musical tastes and then when we're at that level maybe push each other against walls and makeout?   Suggestions in either old English or modern day linguistics are allowed.

Pro-Birth

What do you think of this?   “‎I do not believe that just because you’re opposed to abortion, that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don’t? Because you don’t want any tax money to go there. That’s not pro-life. That’s pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is.” —

Donated My Hair

I used to hate having short hair, but this past year I realized that there are people who are recovering from cancer who need it more than I do. Since this is breast cancer awareness month, I hope that whoever gets my hair can go out in public without having to worry about being stared at or made fun of. No one should be ever be made fun of for having a disease.

I Found a Salon

So I’m donating my hair to Locks of Love. Now that my hair is almost at my goal length of 10 inches, I found the place where I’m gonna get it cut. It doesn’t actually matter who cuts the hair as long as it meets the requirements to make a wig, but I’d rather have a partnership salon do it because I don’t want to risk having grown my hair out for no reason. This really has not been an easy year. Biologically, it is normal for men and women to have long hair. Men's hair does not have a limit lik

Wash Clean Kitchen Supplies

You wouldn't want to get your hands dirty or do too much work while campaigning so what you wanna do is show up at a soup kitchen for 15 minutes and take a picture of yourself washing already clean dishes and pots after all the dirty homeless freeloaders have left.   http://www.washingto...tchen-photo-op/

Amazing Night nontheless

So much thanks to the fans. Never before have I seen so much energy from a crowd. We may not have moved on in the contest, but we would've if they picked 4 bands instead of 3 since it was a close tie.   We're going underground for a little and writing an EP and will return to the stage a few times between now and January when the Bamboozle break contest kicks off. Hopefully we'll see you guys at Bamboozle in May!

Battle of the Bands tomorrow

I'm pretty confident we'll do well, but I'm kind of nervous about the judging. We're a metalcore band and I don't think a lot of the other bands are. I hope the audience doesn't dismiss us just because we aren't a popular genre. Either way, we are going to leave The Crossroads in Garwood, NJ without walls.

"My name is Amanda Todd"

I have an intense hate for everybody who made Amanda Todd feel like she didn't belong here and encouraged her to take her own life and sincerely hope that this follows them forever while preventing them from ever living a normal happy life. The worst part is that these tragedies happen everyday.   People make mistakes. People's reputations are forever impacted by their mistakes by people who are no better, worse in fact. Nobody deserves to feel like they don't belong here, and nobody deserves

Mixed News

So far we sold the most tickets and will probably headline Sunday’s show in Garwood, NJ at The Crossroads at 2 PM. This is practice for when we sign up for Bamboozle 2013 (and possibly Warped).   NOW, we have the most support out of all the other bands, however this is not a local show so not that many of our people can show up. Also, selling the most tickets let's us headline the event. The other problem is that headlining will have us play at 10:30 on a Sunday night where pretty much most pe

Our Newest Song

Sorry I have to link it like this but we don't have it on Youtube yet. This is the first time we played this song. I'm in the back jumping around on the amp and doing split jumps at the beginning and running around the stage with my red bass.   http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=492423737448953

Lmfao are you kidding me

Remember when I made a joke about $30 million worth of maple syrup being stolen from Canada? Well turns out this stuff actually happens.   http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/05/maple-syrup-seized-canada-heist-600-barrels_n_1942575.html   "Fear not, breakfast lovers: Canadian police have reached a breakthrough in the great maple syrup heist of 2012."   Truly the worst crime in Canadian history this year.

Contact Lenses or Laser Surgery

I just can't wear contacts anymore. My eyes are growing weak because of them and I'm facing the consequences more and more every day between migraines and nausea.   My doctor has found there is a correlation. I'm completely fine in glasses and have gone through 3 pairs of contacts this month, when one pair is supposed to last one month. I've been wearing contacts for 7 years and they're just starting to become too much. I'm considering laser surgery. Anyone have any experience on this?
