Skill Training Guides

Hey all I'm going to be updating skill training guides in the coming months. Most skill training guides are missing important information or need a total overhaul.   Agility - Not horrible, but missing a few courses. Construction - I'm not great with construction training (I got to the meager level I'm at now mostly through warbands and I had level 45 construction pre-warbands) but I'm guessing training hasn't changed much. But I will look into it; if you know more please say so. Cooking - T

Plague's End (Mourning's Ends Part III)

2002-2014   This morning I did the Plague City finale, Plague's End. I just finished a rough draft on the guide and decided to write a little more here (since I'm on a roooollll). Remember this? Yeah, that was bad. Basically I went to do the Fight Caves because of the Kuradel challenge. I always step up to challenges!...? So I've been doing some slayer recently and got the Tzharr task again and took the challenge. I did the assignment yesterday. Quest Cape

I've been sitting on one quest to go for a few months and I had nothing to do this morning, so I figured I'd get a quest cape.             Probably the last cape of accomplishment I'll ever get.

Legacy Mode

Not impressed.   First I went out to freeplay to check out PKing. Range seemed a bit overpowered; it could hit up to 350 (pre eoc it could only hit 180 or something). Melee rune 2h can hit around 400 (as opposed to 300 before) and mage could hit high too. So damage needs to be reduced by 25%. A few things are odd as well. For one, special attacks are freeplay. The only spec weapons available are the magic shortbows and shieldbows though. Not sure if this is a bug or a new Legacy thing. Armor d

For those who aren't rolling on the floor laughing right now from reading the title, I died at Jad :( :( :(     Yeah, and this is RS3 we're talking about. I never tried it before because I just frankly did not think it was worth the effort, obviously in 2006 and even in 2014. But I got a challenge from Kuradel and took it since I was bored. Today I learned

Hey guys, remember that time a few months ago (November?) when we got demoted? Basically we were platinum and now we are gold. The two people who did this were new Jagex staff members who evaluated us and then decided to demote us. Today I learned that those new Jagex staff members... are moderators at Runezone.   Now, I don't want to say that we didn't deserve that demotion. I suck at Runescape

Today I died to the exiled KQ three times. Only once I could get it to second form. The first time I died on my way back so I lost like 2m worth of gear.   Not sure where to go after this humbling experience... currently trying to get 90 fishing and cooking for ports. For pvm I'll probably go to the chaos dwarf battlefield under rene's suggestion for some easier pvm. I also think I'll try and buy some drygores so I'll have to do some astral runecrafting.

Runescape: 2005 vs 2014

In 2005, I took this picture for the Draynor Sewers guide.     As you can see, it hasn't been updated since ( :P). Anyway, I decided to retake the image wearing the exact same clothing I was wearing nine years ago. I had to spend 600k on a Zamorak Full Helm and buy a dragon longsword. Here is the result:     Except for the armor not a huge change. Ruantun of course has long been forgotten by Jagex and isn't up to the date with the vampyres. Here is a side by side comparison.

RuneScape Assassins?

There is this game called assassins. Basically you need a group of people to play it. What happens is that people go around looking for a target and to advance to the next stage you have to hit them with a water gun or some equivalent. Whoever hits their target without getting hit themselves advances to the next stage, etc. There are safe zones and such (like get togethers) from preventing this from being too easy.   What if we did something like this on the fansite? Obviously we can't use wat

State of the site address

I thought that I would capitalize on the US President's State of the Union address (which is happening now as I publish this) and make my own blog post about the progress on the site :P. No Mad Men references in here sorry!   As you can read in this topic, we just made some major progress on the site. I estimate that somewhere between 80-100 quests have been updated this year (2014). Thoughts on Missing Presumed Death

It's been awhile since somebody did a review on a blog so here I go. Minor spoilers ahead.   Yeah so I did this quest so I could get some pictures for future lore guides. My thoughts: Icthlarin is turning into one of my favorite dudes. I honestly never thought this guy would make an appearance outside of Icthlarin's Little Helper but it looks like he will have a very important role. Next 10 days

So the next ten or so days I will be inactive. I'm busy in real life and I have my priorities. I know this probably doesn't concern very many people, but I thought I would post it in case I was on the road to becoming inactive or I was just getting lazy. So I won't be updating much content unless there is a brand new quest or event that comes out and requires rapid adding to the site. I'll try to check every now and then.   In the meantime, I will leave you to ponder over this.
