Sal's clan chat went down the toilet tonight, as I'm typing this. :D So many things that shouldn't be going on... There's no one there to do anything about it. Sure, I can mute some cases that happen in there. But no one realizes the huge gap there is between Sal's rules, RuneScape's and general ethic. :D Seriously, something has to be done about some of the people in that chat. They ruin it for everyone, and normally good people mess around when they get started. I actually had to leave for a bit, and later, I went to Tipit's chat. :D This is sad. I always liked Sal's chat, but when people like that go in there, and I can't do anything about it...
This is my 30 second rant...
...And actually finish Jeopardy. Since the first time I started coding it, I didn't even know how to have more than the original form that was there upon start-up, now I've been loaded down with plenty of tricks. The only thing is, I want to include pre-determined games so it isn't as much of a hassle to create your own questions and answers before playing. Each game would include 5 topics with 5 questions for each topic. Each question is multiple choice, one right answer with three wrong ones. That's basically all there is to it, I'll handle the multiplayer, scoring, and all that stuff, I'd be very pleased if someone could write a category's questions and answers pertaining to their little area of expertise, but please, no Runescape categories.
Some quick topics off the top of my head would be camping, lashings, first aid, and computers, but I'm sure everyone else can think of some more entertaining. I just want as many as possible to make this a full game instead of something you can wear out in less than an hour.
Oh, and for any of you who are graphic savvy, here's the size icon that I could put in:
And I'd like to include a splash screen for Jeopardy's start-up. If someone would be so kind as to make one, that's where I would like to put any credits if they would look right, so at least whoever makes it goes on.
Putting credits here for safekeeping: Reaver, Entrility, Merch Gwyar
Used topics: Michael Moore, Locations, History, Hot Rod
I totally didn't rip this banner from my last party.
For as much as I can manage, I'll be piling on the air rune crafting loads to get as much money as I can before Thursday. (Which reminds me, I better start looking at the market for what to buy, or get Wilt to >.<)
I expect a better turnout than the last party (You know, where everyone lagged out and the drop gave everyone a whole 2gp).
Right when we get home my brother goes into an argument (already a bad sign) with my mom about religion. Basically, he bashed her because she believes in God. Then I cut in. Personally, I believe all my arguments were true and I hit him with everything I had. All he had were twisted words, fallacies, and picking on a mispronunciation/misused word. (Accidentally said 'queef' instead of...'quarrel'?) Every time I defeated an argument of his, he'd fall back to some ignorant statement, then when I'd say he was being ignorant, he'd say "Oh, so I'm ignorant because I don't believe in God?" He used that sentence over twenty times. Although, I did enjoy calling him out with my mom smiling in the other room, which he couldn't see. I'd like to say my brother's a good debater but he didn't have one argument in the whole half hour that was true. You (Sal's) should have seen me smiling when my brother started using our priest's health issues to bash a religion and saying he's still not ignorant.
Just because you are told to come to church doesn't mean our mom's forcing her religion on you. It means you're a minor and you're going to sit in a building that's not home and shut the hell up. Do you have anymore "arguments" you'd like to bring up because I'd really like to hear them.
Now I get to do homework then sit down to some Call of Duty 4 Live. Hell if my brother tries to play my 360. I've got a feeling my mom'll back me up for once on this 'intervention'.
It'd be nice if whoever happens to read this helps spread the support around the forum to fix the clan chat once and for all:
Credits go to Un0 for making the signature.
And to anyone else fooling around with visual basic:
All of the above are very simple tools to scare people with. :P The first logs the computer out, second shuts the computer down, and the last restarts the computer. But please, no thoughts about making a VB virus.
All the better to pad my programs against those who would like to find the easter eggs hidden inside.
It'd be even better if I used a .ShowDialog() :s Make the form say "Close me and I'll take you with me." then right after the .ShowDialog code, put the code to shut down the computer so right when they close the box, it'll follow through.
*Synapsi remembers his talk about no viruses
Out of 12,000, how much do you do know about the United States?
I got all right, it's actually pretty easy if you paid attention during class. :(
Waking up around 11, I stumbled outside to begin tearing off old siding (but remember, save the styrofoam!) that had been warped by our neighbor's garage when it had caught fire. Scaffolding soon went up and my brother joined us in nailing up the new siding, bottom to top. Fast-forward to the last row, where the new siding meets the old. The siding is eight inches tall and the gap is 8.5 inches. Pulling and renailing ensues until we manage to slide piece upon piece to complete the last row.
And during all this, I'd only had a banana beforehand. We picked up some pizza and I ate way too much of it way too quickly, I even had the nerve to throw in an apple and a cup of milk to top it all off. I felt like I was going to puke for a few minutes after I finished the apple and milk. No regrets.
Potentially bad news: My council isn't really getting any Philmont sign-ups (minimum crew members is seven) and it seems only my dad, brother, and I have signed up (though we haven't sent in our applications, apparently). I'll be infinitely disappointed if they cancel the trip.
Tomorrow will be filled with reading chapter upon chapter for US History and minor English homework. All blah-work, but at least I finished my book tonight.
Over 137 different colors the user can choose from for each button, I'm adding in the background and menustrip later.
As the title says, it took me 4.5 hours to: copy each different color down from the list, copy it so it's listed vertically, pasted it into the combobox's list, write a function that changes the color to what's chosen, and then paste the text option chosen into the color type. That's about 822 copy/pastes. >.< Now I just need to copy that combobox's code into word, replace btnBack with whatever button I need to. After that, I'll just need to make the corresponding button's color on the original form equal to the same color on this form. I'm hoping this will make up for the poor default color schemes I have, after I figure out how to save and all, this will be done.
So I repeat, names please? :D
Now to make all the forecolors on the first form match their clone's on this one (And I'm done with that). :)
I'm going to seperate this from any other entries-
1 Year Modiversary
April 24, Thursday at 7pm-ish
World 62, Varrock Museum
I plan on a big drop party then clan wars afterwards, I made this thread to find out what exactly I should drop at the party. So, what items would you guys like to see at an all F2P party? Don't bother with cost, I'll handle that, and try to not repeat alot of items that others say. I may make a poll later so I can get a better idea.
I spent 1M+ on crafting, and I just noticed I saved it as jpg.
Damn it, magic too.
But I got strength right
Which takes me to 1065 total and that means I only have 5 prayer levels till I've reached all skills 60+. There's no way around it, prayer will be a pain since the removal of the boneyard, any good suggestions so I don't have to buy all the bones?
First one to guess what the blog description is for wins.
Well, I've attached the combat calculator, fit the new button into all the skins including the custom skin designer (which ended up creating a problem that took an hour to solve :glasses: ). Now the .zip file includes the basic info text file with a disclaimer, contents list, and credits (Speaking of credits, I forgot to add Cougar into the program's credits, but you're in the text file's, sorry ^_^ ).
Here's the link:
I'll gladly take into consideration serious suggestions for the SynKit.
If all else fails, try downloading the visual basic program itself:
I think it installs an important thing needed to run the programs.
Heli Man asked me in clan chat to take care of a site advertiser in his world. I hopped over and tellied to Varrock. It took a minute for the advertiser to start up, but finally, after a few lines, I silenced him. The second I muted him:
Prison Pete got him as well.
And curse that inflation, $54.68 for 10M?
It was supposed to snow a good deal last night - all I heard through the night was the pinging from the ice pellets hitting the windows. Now, in the morning, I saw my dog go outside and walk on top of the snow on the deck, not even breaking through. There's also a quarter inch of ice going across my car's windshield. Apparently while I slept in, there was also a power outage.
Two-personed with my brother. AND HE'S TERRIBLE! It's fine that he hasn't played the game before, he knows the controls just fine. But he never listens to me. I say don't leave the help room, just cover the door while I fix all these windows. He goes into the main room on the far side, gets incapacitated, then gets me killed when I revived him. Oh, but if that wasn't enough, when he's trying to clear the zombies when I'm lying on the floor, I tell him not to spin in circles. What does he do? He spins in circles. Now zombies are all around him, attacking him from all sides. Game over. He quit and I played it by myself, and I get just as far alone (lv 6) as I do with him (that was yesterday). Today, me made it to lv 9, but only because I got a raygun (against my luck) from the box. I will never trust him to guard my back as long as he's playing. I also explained to him how to get in the grenade glitch spot because he grabbed a flamethrower. He was doing fine, but then he decided to get out of that spot because he thought the barrier wasn't far enough away. Guess what? I had told him not to and now he's got a mob of zombies around him and his only good gun is a flamethrower.
Why can't I have a good brother that realizes that he isn't right all the time?
In Michigan. And with all the new scouts that just crossed over. And one of them is eerily similar to one of our already annoying ADHDish kids. You know, the one that yells things out when someone's talking and whenever it's their turn to stand up and talk, they'll get up, say two words, then drop down to their chair and put their head on the table. Our original saw marshmallows sitting on the front table that were going to be used for an activity and decided to steal them and try to hide them under the table and eat them.
Interestingly enough, I meant this to just be about the cabin camping.
Edit!: My sister works as a secretary or something like that at a company that does storage among other things and if people don't pay and don't pick up their things, then those things are free for the taking. My brother got a box that had a paintball gun, magic cards, old game system, beer posters, and a bunch of random cables (chargers, AV cables, media cable). I got to take the magic cards only because I wanted to look at them and see if I could find out if there were any that were good, but alas, I don't have the slightest about magic or its cards.
Stupid kids make Jagex's programmers sad :(
*can't resist, must insult* :o
Just the other day, he insisted so hard...a level 84, still :s
Two in one :P
Back in the day, made me laugh :P
A sense of accomplishment does not come with a receipt. :(
These are the people who I think buy their accounts.
I win! ^_^
Mod Howes got pwnt by the Sandwich Lady Everyone enjoyed that one. :D
For a second, I thought someone got your account.
I've got more, but, unfortunately, they're confidential. :( (Big accomplishments :( )
I started out the day with my mom figuring out my brilliant brother hadn't fully closed the back of the car, draining the battery overnight. :/ So we had to use my 10 year old car which hadn't been started all winter. Surprisingly, it started. Since I had to scrape off the snow, my fingers were already numb, now I had to drive us to the warehouse where we were doing our service. By the time we got there, my fingers were completely senseless. It turns out we got to do 3 hours of sorting food into two boxes depending on their expiration date, I found some stuff that expired in 2004. ^_^ Few jars of mold, lots of exploded pasta, and even a smashed jar of syrup. We got to take some pastry stuff that I guess they didn't need. When we were leaving, guess what we discovered. My car didn't start. :P We had to get another person that was there to start the car. As I held the hood open, the guy's son walked by with a box of glass bottles of Coca Cola, slipped on the ice, and smashed three or so bottles. :D After that, we left back to our house, this time my brother drove. He insults my car, saying it's crappy, but he can't drive for shizzle. :s What do you expect in a ten year old car. It's a pity I'll probably end up having to share it with him since no one will trust him with theirs. He says our sister would let him drive hers, I told him otherwise. So now I'm here, my fingers almost thawed, about 20 minutes later.
I've got yet another project for English, this time it's poetry. :/ I've got the poems picked out, tomorrow I have to give them to him (with the works cited page, in mla format) even though it's an odd schedule day for me and I don't even have him. :s Then, this weekend is a trip up to Michigan to a former summer camp for some cabin camping. Too bad we've got all these little kids, otherwise it wouldn't be half bad. The last time we went was ok, just didn't have enough older kids. I guess I'm supposed to be teaching them some pioneering, lashing and the like. God, what fun teaching even a clove hitch to those little kids will be. :o All I've heard is that we're making a monkey bridge, which isn't all that bad, and I've actually never made one before, however simple it may be.
The real money is playing capture the flag at night against another troop that's going up there with us. :P Hopefully they don't try to cheat like they did last time.
It's a good thing I've got this trip to look forward to while I sit through English class. :o
Anyone know how to get your browser to allow the download bar so I can download Adobe Flash Player? It won't let me, nothing happens. :o
