So it's been a long summer/early fall since I've retired.
Starting out in June, two of my good friends and I led the NYLT (national youth leadership training) for about two weeks for my council. I had a two week break after that, but lacked internet for the most part, being out of town and constantly staying at friend's houses. Later in the summer, I went to the National Jamboree for Boy Scouts. The BSA celebrated 100 years. It was a fun experience, especially because I knew how to get through the week based on the last jamboree. School started shortly after that and I still had a half-week camp where I, along with about 40 other counselors led a group of 5-6 seventh graders around Camp Tecumseh. Basically, it was school still, but in nature. As a senior in high school, it was my last year being able to be a counselor.
And now I have quite a bit of free time. My soccer team's last game is tomorrow, but we are about to start indoor soccer again. I started merchanting in RS a few weeks ago, logging on every few days to update my GE offers. I checked the forums every once in a while this summer, but now I'm back to my old routine here, checking multiple times per day haha.
Oh, and I've been accepted to Indiana University so far, but haven't applied to anywhere else yet. I'll probably apply to University of Southern California, Miami University (in Ohio), and maybe Loyola University in Chicago. Not completely sure what I want to major in, but most likely something with computers.
Get over the fact that Neo writes really fast, accurate quest guides, including comedy, which can take the irksome task of doing a quest and make it smaller. I am really getting irked at the many posts you have made saying something like the quote below. Besides the fact that it has nothing to do with the topic (meaning spam), it just shows how jealous you are of him.
I am surprised that this topic really got that many posts in less than a day. I know that Sal's CC is one huge controversy, but still. It took FOREVER to finally get people promoted. We argued and then lowered the list down to those four. Though they might have VERY few posts, THE CLAN CHAT IS SEPARATE FROM THE FORUMS. (Wrong section Macki :D)
What I really feel sorry for is JD. I know that you were extremely active, but were you one of the maturer members? Look at the quote below. It completely contradicts itself at the end. Why should you get recognition? And you say that you DESERVE to be a Chat Mod, and then say you DON'T deserve the power and popularity.
Sad thing is, JD brought this onto himself. Personally, I think if he ever had hopes, this screwed them over. :D I personally saw less maturity in him than other members, but this is my personal view.
And this is a perfect summary to the topic:
So I'm baking some brownies and my power goes out because of this wonderful storm we have had all day. My little brothers and sisters freak out for two solid hours. I lit around 10 candles, and using my fire skills, lit a fire in the fireplace. :P That's when I realized I forgot to open the thing that lets smoke out. Smoke pours into the room and the smoke alarms go off. I open it, getting a cool looking burn on my arm. Then right as I get started on my homework by candlelight, the power comes back on.
And here I am. Brownie-less and still have homework to do. [/rant]
Just finished the last episode. Such an entertaining time watching that show. I remember hearing someone talk about it, then my friend in real life spent all spring break watching it. I finally ended up starting. It was a lot better than I expected. This is a nice reminder for me to try new things.
I would like to thank everyone who had an influence on me ending up watching Death Note. The ending was absolutely great. Now to watch some more shows.
I heard it was an awesome movie and I completely agree. I just didn't know it was sad. :/
And a semi-full story about the frozen ketchup: Last night I went over to my friend's house. Everyone was supposed to go over there, but they went to another friend's house (which is a 30 second walk from my home :/). They drove over to the house I was at and put rubber bands all over the driveway (they are really hard to pick up :P). They also put peanut butter on the car handles/mirrors. :( We had to get our revenge, so we went to Kroger at around 11 pm and bought ketchup and peanut butter. My friends spread ketchup all over the driveway and they put the peanut butter just on the handles (to be a surprise when they left :/). [/horrible epic prank battle] They have sworn revenge, probably this weekend when we go to someone's house again. :/
I might be warned/suspended from the forums for a post I made. I did this willingly. You can still contact me over RS, AIM and MSN.
Mods, feel free to warn or suspend me for this comment. I probably will deserve it after typing whatever I type. But this is how I feel:Roy, you rip images and info, you deny it. You freaking re-uploaded images so it looks like you didn't rip them, then the whole thing backfires with proof that you did rip it. You start correcting guides that *pmg* you didnt even find errors in, just used FireFox spellchecker. You start looking for tiny things that are wrong. Ill just point out one major flaw in all of your posts. The "hidden messages meant to be jokes" [ex]. None are funny, and they take away from what might be a good member. Just because Neo gave you tons of warns doesn't mean you have to hate him. Please, leave. Stop ripping things and giving Sals a bad name.
All you did was delete them off of your Photobucket account then re-upload the images after he cropped them a little. Easy replacement without the need to edit your post. Good thing I took pics before you did this. I also thank Stevo for taking another pic to back me up.
Note: Thanks to Steve for the gtfo post. ^_^
And especially to Roy: Be happy that you weren't banned or suspended from the forums for every past time you ripped. (+7) I personally ripped a map a long time ago, suspended for 5 days. I learned my lesson. I have a friend who ripped something much pettier. Suspended for just as long or more.
