What Sparkles With The Slammers?

Having thoughts on what to change my name to Naota or Fumetsu Neko   Both are names I've used in the past. I've stated what they are in previous posts.   Should I change to one of these or just keep it the same? Sunshine?   (Sparkle/sunshine is south park reference)

Almost Done With Part 1

So I have everything written down. I just need to do some proof-reading and maybe change up a few things here and there, but it's about two pages (maybe more) of my tale. It's going to take place in one day just to introduce the basic characters, but the rest of the story will probably span over weeks or months.   Entrility, please tell me you have some free time ahead of you

Halo: Reach, Wtf?

So I spent about 6 hours in Forge World creating a bad ass map. I go to play it and I get this "User content is not permitted" What the f***?   I can't view anything in Theatre, I can't go to temporary files or use file share. >_>   Way to go Bungie.   Oh and, don't tell me it's in the Family Settings. Everything possible is allowed and I don't have a Child Account. Someone said something about "allowing user content" but that's it. Just those three words and nothing else.   Why must this be so difficult?   EDIT: Solved. I called a friend, he helped me figure this out.

Deep Thoughts On Music

Lyrics effect people because they understand them. If you hear a song in another language and you can't understand the lyrics, you don't care for the lyrics. You just blend the lyrics into the music and the lyrics become another instrument. Now with that theory/concept let's take a look at the instruments playing in any song. If you understand the instrument (for me, a guitar) it can speak to you, and you can understand what it's saying just as you can understand what I'm typing now. It has no emotion behind it because it's just plain text. But if I were to speak and you could hear it with the tone and emphasis on certain words it would impact you harder. Now if you read music you could just read it (and if you're talented enough, hear it as you read it) it wouldn't have the same effect as if someone was playing the music to you. I love guitar so much because someone playing a guitar can speak to me on a whole new level. I can block out all instruments in a song except for the one I want to hear. I want to hear that instrument speak to me and hear its story in the song. Thus, I prefer songs without lyrics because it makes it easier to decode what this guitar rift is trying to say. What's the story behind this piece of music? And this is my random thoughts on music.     On a completely different note, there's a lot of die-hard Christians on sals that I didn't even notice lacking a sense of humor.

Update

I've been working on the tale for a bit now, it's coming together nicely. I'm just lacking in characters... and I suck at making up names even though I know what they look like and their personalities too.   It's going to be in multiple parts, and part 1 will be very relaxed compared to the other parts. It'll be more of a "pilot" for me to see if anyone here wants to read it. The tale will be posted in other places, I just would like to know how slammers think of it.   Part 1 progress? I'd say about 35%, maybe 40%

Neko Says #7

Neko says to look at what you're about to chew before biting off a big piece. I just spent 1 hour learning 45 seconds of a song, and I'm still not getting it right ;_;   EDIT: AW YEAH! After 2.5 hours of practicing, I can finally play from start to finish! Including the solo.

In Case Anyone Was Confused About My Name

Alright just so people know. My name is Naota. Yes, real name. Fumetsu Neko was my first online name/gamertag I can't decide which to use for sals, so I used both. That's why I go by either Neko or Naota.

Introduction

Alright, so you know that story I've been working on? I got the introduction ready, and would like to share it. I'm Japanese, so I'm using Japanese names. Don't like it? Don't read it. I'm not too great with English grammar, but I did try my best. It is a short introduction. It's more of a preview than introduction. Please let me know what you think. If you are a master of the language arts of English and wouldn't mind looking over my chapter writings in the future, let me know. I'm definitely going to need some help.   Anyways, on to the preview. The fire alarm rang with urgency. A dense smell of smoke poured in through Nara Yukiko's senses. She looked around and her eyes met the clock. 2:15AM. Someone started pounding on the door.   "Yukiko! Our building is on fire!" Her mother screamed as she forced her way in. "We're leaving right now!"   Yukiko emptied her pillow and stuffed it with a few personal belongings, opened the door, and rushed down stairs to catch her parents. Their room was six floors up. She ran down the stairs as fast as she could. Something stopped her a few floors before the exit. An injured cat was laying in the path of the inferno. She bent down to see if it was still alive. Getting quick look at the colar, it read "Tetsuo". Yuki dropped all her belongings to rescue the cat. "A life is more important than these items" she quickly decided. Her escape was delayed as half of the building was lost to the sea of flames already. She got to the bottom with slightly burned hair and a few scrapes with an expiring cat bleeding from her arms.   "Nara!" A loud voice yelled at her. "Nara Yukiko!"   Yukiko looked up to find herself in a class room. Recalling her childhood while sleeping in class was a first for Yukiko. "Sorry! I'm sorry!" quickly replying to the teacher. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing too. I can't believe you fall asleep when a new student is intruducing himself." Yukiko looked down in shame. "I'm sorry about that, please continue" The teacher was definitely irritated with Yukiko.   The new student continued his introduction to the class. "Hello everyone. My name is Saji Tetsuo."   My Formatting Also, Entrility if you're reading this, let me know if you want to help.

Redmonke Is A God

Helped me make my new signature.     Thanks, Redmonke!   My favorite characters in no order. I'll list them from left to right.   Character Name (Source) Dizzy (Guilty Gear), Himari (Omamori Himari), Hirasawa Yui (K-On!), Jam Kuradoberi (Guilty Gear), Shana (Shakugan no Shana), Togame(The girl)+Shichika Yasuri(The Guy) (Katanagatari), Ayuzawa Misaki (Kaicho wa Maid-sama!)   Oh and to be fair, I think Redmonke is not a fan of anime, and he did this as a favor.

Help! Image Hunting And Female Input.

Alright so I'm looking for an image for my new signature (as you can see, mine right now is currently temporary). I'm looking for a picture of nekomimi (cat ears).   What makes this difficult, is that it's not just any picture, I would have it by now. What I'm looking for is a black and white picture of just cat ears alone, drawn in plain black, with eyes under it. No face, no hair, no mouth, no nose, no body, no anything except the ears and the eyes in the correct places.   I've tried deviant art and google image search.   I'm asking for help here. I'm not asking for someone to find me this image for me, but maybe tell me more image database websites that could possible have this, or some search terms that may yield some results. So far I just get faces (head and a neck) and headbands with the occasional manga page.   I know of a few more websites but they have absolutely no animu style images. This will also help me write the story. I know it seems like it won't help, but once the story comes to an end everything becomes clear.   GOD I HAVE SO MANY GOOD IDEAS FOR MY STORY! Moving on to the second part of my blog post. I'm looking for a female to help me write this story. No, you won't be writing what I dictate. All I want is "What would you do in this situation" and a promise that you won't leak future chapters. I don't want to discriminate on age here, but if you're a bit older too that would be very beneficial (17+).   Now off to take a shower!

(Quick break from writing a bit here)Neko says just because you watch romantic drama doesn't mean you know anything about relationships. On another note, Neko has watched plenty of anime and is willing to offer girl advice. <_<

Yosh! Formatting!

I've decided to actually write this story down (see previous blog entries). I'm going to bed pretty soon, so I can't really do much tonight. I'm going to use this entry for formatting and explaining a few things.   It seems theres a nasty bug in my blog not allowing me to have Draft entries, so I'll be forced to publish this so I can edit it easier.   Anyways, I'm not that great with English, so I can't always describe what I'm seeing in my head with words. If someone would like to help me out, I can do my best to explain it and then you can tell me how it should be written down.   On to the formatting.   When I use names, it will be traditional Japanese form. Family name first, and then the first name. Example: "John Smith" becomes "Smith John". Why? It's easier for me to write that way. This means people will be addressed by their family name. Hell, go watch some anime and read a manga, you'll learn fast.   Secondly, I'll use the underline code when there is a translation available for a word I decided would work better in Japanese over English. As stated before, I'm an ESL student. I think in Japanese, not English. Example: zenzen or soo desu ka. I'm not saying these words will be used exactly, but if you find a word and it's in Japanese, check for the underline for a translation.   Third: I have songs in my head that would be playing at certain parts to the story. I'll write the sound down in tab so if you have a guitar (and can play) you'll be lucky enough to hear what I hear. The songs will be wrapped in spoiler tags.   More to come, will edit later. Just wanted to get these thoughts down while they are fresh.

Yume (dream)

This is my dream's premise. Also, I haven't thought of any names yet.   The story focuses on a girl and her friends during the last year of high school (year 3). Of course this story continues after high school, but thats where the story starts. The main character (female) has trouble with love. She seems to find herself in one-sided relationships quite often. The other main character (male) is nothing more than a side character for most of the story. By the end of the story, the main female character finds the main male character. Except there are supernatural things going on. In the town/city this takes place in, a large percentage of the students transfer out to big universities, as their town/city is small, so it's nothing new to see transfer students. It's hard to make a lot of friends when a good portion of them leave for a better university. The beginning of the story follows the main female character for a long time, and near the end, shows the main male character doing things behind the scenes... if that makes sense. The main female character always seems to run into the main male character at random - but significant - times.   If I ever feel like writing this out, it's going to start in "flash back mode". I can't really describe how a "flash back" looks in a dream, so I'll have to point it out and stuff.... and yeah... stuff. I would give more away of this story, but I don't want to spoil anything if I do decide to tell it. Also, English masters/majors, I would like some advice on my grammar/spelling. Feel free to be a grammar nazi.   Small update~ In case anyone was wondering, this is the set/setting; Location 1: Japan, Northern Hokkaido Location 2: High school then college Time: April, 2018

Ownage

I was invited over to a friends house today. When I got there, I saw MY LAPTOP on the desk. When I asked who's that was (because it was stolen from me) he said a friend of his, who just came back, and I said "Well I'm taking it back".   He got mad and told me something about how it was his. I asked him how he got it, and he thought about it for a second. I said it was mine and it was stolen from my car, and told him I was going to take it back. He didn't like it, and wanted to get rough. Good thing I practiced martial arts when I was young. I got my laptop back. =D

L O L

I don't know HOW the subject changed to this, but a friend and I were talking. "If you were a girl, what would you be into?" and my friend without hesitation replied "I'd be a lesbian". I asked him why, and he said "dude lesbian chicks are hot"   I laughed but, damn. He has a point.
