'dealing With Scabaras' Again

This time it was a much more sedate affair, insofar as diseased passageways, poisoned traps, a room full of range-crazy high level monsters mobbing you and an insane high priest attacking can be called sedate.

I made my way back to the dungeon fully prepared to take on the tasks for the levers again, however it appeared that I didn't need them. If I'd known that last night, I might even have been back to finish it! LOL Once you have successfully operated each lever to open the door, it remains open. I also took the time to find the traps, using the 'search floor' option, but they still got me. I paused to regroup, before dashing into the main room and west. I couldn't find the high priest's room! It was to the north, ok. This time I used 'protect from range' and it worked really well, until I found a trap in that room too. The resulting spike and poison damage hit me for about 20, while the pausing within range of monsters now meleeing hit me another 10. I ran.

Once inside the high priest's room, I discovered that nothing was attacking me, not least him. I was able to regain full strength, even swopping innoculation bracelets (having had the foresight this time to take two) before clicking on him for the dialogue. It seemed that he continued from where he left off last night, as my opening line was 'can you remember speaking to me before you attacked?' or words to that effect.

We went through only one incident of him attacking me again, before it was all over. He bade me speak to the High Priest in Sophanem and I was free to go. Woot! I then had a big decision, did I teleport out and make my way back to Sophanem in kinder circumstances, or did I brave the arduous trip back through that dungeon, the arena, the crocodile-iinfested swamp and desert and the heat? As I had five sharks and several pots left, I decided on the latter. It was all good. Well, I got battered to within an inch of my life, but otherwise it was all good.

I made it back to Sophanem, straight to the bank for some Recilym's Balm, then off to the High Priest for the conversation which completed the quest. Yay!

Sorry for kinda poofing out last night, a combination of a few things:Squirt constantly pestering me to, convert videos, sync her iPod, get more music, sync it again, convert another video... kept my laptop busy the whole night. While this was going on, my older brother, was working on fixing the Wifi to the Wii, and being my older brother, did not stop to tell me to logout or aanything of the sort.Thirdly, there was mention of cake, :DAnd I cant stay up to 11pm after not sleeping for 48 hours. <_<

At least with a quest guide, you knew to bring Inoculation bracelets. WIth no quest guide, I pressedon to the High Priest of Scabaras thinking all I'd have to do would be tlak to him. <_< I ended by getting to the High Priest with less hp, more disease (no food with me remaining after those pesky traps) and no prayer. Thankfully, I only went through... wait I did make it through 5 rounds with the priest! O_o Scary good luck.Congratz on making it through the quest more coherently than I did, I'm sure. :yay:

Nice job finishing the quest. :( It was really fun, wasn't it?I only had to fight him twice, but I couldn't even last through the second time. :D (No antipoison ftw.) I survived, but then I spent ten minutes checking and double-checking to make sure I had everything before going back and realizing the fight was over. :) Like you, I had a much easier time the second time around. There should be an Official Quest Discussion Topic, don't you think? ~Eman :/

Lol, we were same time, same place but different worlds. I did this quest, too. It's not a master quest imo, but the tiara is sweet. Very nice bonuses, too.

I realized that, while I was actually doing it. :aware: I was nearly at the safe-ish spot at the mouth of the corridor, being battered into near submission and suddenly a voice spoke in my treacherous mind. It said, 'I'm sure that this is how Cougar was killed...'

Np... cake? :aware:Thanks for getting me started with it. I don't think you could have come with me for the end anyway, as I was in the quest cutscene.

Yes, that would be well cool. But then again, there is the update forum which allows discussion for a while. Do you mean an indefinite one which allows discussion forever? Perhaps we should form a committee and go see Cameron...

scarabsia6.pngIn NO WAY stolen from Guildwars's blog. :D Cough...

Were we? LOL I did do this one quickly then, I normally wait until I'm the last person in Runescape who hasn't done it, then meander on over. Thanks for the info about the bonuses. I'd sussed about the protection from the desert effect, but hadn't thought to look to see if it did anything else. *rolls eyes*

Ah, but you weren't the last one to do it. I was. :PGrats on beating the quest. I hate all desert quests. Plus disease, poison and 148+ monsters don't help.
