...And actually finish Jeopardy. Since the first time I started coding it, I didn't even know how to have more than the original form that was there upon start-up, now I've been loaded down with plenty of tricks. The only thing is, I want to include pre-determined games so it isn't as much of a hassle to create your own questions and answers before playing. Each game would include 5 topics with 5 questions for each topic. Each question is multiple choice, one right answer with three wrong ones. That's basically all there is to it, I'll handle the multiplayer, scoring, and all that stuff, I'd be very pleased if someone could write a category's questions and answers pertaining to their little area of expertise, but please, no Runescape categories. :deformed:

Some quick topics off the top of my head would be camping, lashings, first aid, and computers, but I'm sure everyone else can think of some more entertaining. I just want as many as possible to make this a full game instead of something you can wear out in less than an hour.

Oh, and for any of you who are graphic savvy, here's the size icon that I could put in: eq4dtw.png

And I'd like to include a splash screen for Jeopardy's start-up. If someone would be so kind as to make one, that's where I would like to put any credits if they would look right, so at least whoever makes it goes on.

Putting credits here for safekeeping: Reaver, Entrility, Merch Gwyar

Used topics: Michael Moore, Locations, History, Hot Rod

Watcha need for question categories? Is there a specific theme? I'd be happy to write a few for ya

Any questions, any theme, as long as it's a full set, it would be appreciated. (Full set being a category with five questions, each question having four possible answers)

Since I have no clue what any of that is, could you provide false answers that look like they could be right? >.<Now he put that in, one pre-determined game could be 'Movies' or something along that line. (Themed game, ya know?)

The same with Reaver, could you please include three other false answers? So far I'm having trouble using listviews, I've had to resort to using inputboxes which are basically pop-ups.

The first answer listed is the one that is correct, no?

Ok, here's what I'm thinking to fix VB's terrible GUI set-up: I can get rid of the normal form border, which looks like this:http://i31.tinypic.com/24v3akj.jpg -Removed to prevent stretching >.<After you do that, you create a cool background in photoshop (or whatever) and use that as the background. When I changed my themes with the SynKit, the borders around the buttons were even messed with. To fix this (and improve the GUI even more so), is to paste the button's image onto the background and set the button to invisible. So when you go to click what you think is a button, which is actually a picture on the background, you'll only be clicking an invisible button.Terrible explanation, I know, but it looks soooo much better when this is done instead. So, anyone have good background skills?

They should all be what is, not where is.Where would only be used if you are giving to location and you want them to say the country. YOu are stating something that happened there, so what is.

To me, it looks like he's saying to give a place, I don't see a question asking about an event. But I don't need them, since you can't mistakenly say the wrong thing when the game isn't verbal. I got all the information loaded into variables when need be, but I'm having problems loading it into the actual form asking the question when they click "$100" and so on. :(I may be done programming for tonight, but I'll still be happy to work on the graphics portion of it.For anyone wishing to dawdle around with the background, I'll try to actually get across what I'm trying to say. >.<This image:http://i31.tinypic.com/24v3akj.jpgIs the size of the form, what I need is for you to create background for the game, which essentially is a screenshot (But you change everything you want about it) of the form with buttons, except without any text inside it.I'm trying to find an example of what I saw before.Basically this: http://www.programmersheaven.com/images/files/30261.gifExcept the background isn't plain gray, you can do whatever graphical wonders you can think of. And there'd be a "square" ("depression") where the exit button would be on the top.Once I get this all ironed out (which may be cut short and continued at the end of summer), I may revamp the rest of the forms.

I've never seen Jeopardy, but I'm guessing from the above that the 100 question is easiest and the 500 is hardest; then the answers have random 'what is' or 'where is' before them? I'll give it a shot.World History100: His assassination started the First World War.Correct answer: Who is Franz Ferdinand?Who is Frank Ferdinand?Who is Ferdinand Franks?Who is Ferdinand Franz?200: The Roman Emperor conquered Gaul (roughly modern-day France) in 52 BCE.Correct answer: Who is Julius Caesar?Who is Nero?Who is Caligula?Who is Augustus Caesar?300: In 79 CE, this volcano destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum.Correct answer: Where is Mount VersuviusWhere is Mount Etna?Where is Mount St Helens?Where is Krakatoa?400: She was a famous nurse during the Crimean War, treating casulties from both sides, often while under fire.Correct answer: Who is Mary Seacole?Who is Mary Colesea?Who is Florence Seacole?Who is Florence Grant?500: The Black Death, aka Bubonic Plague, killed 75 million worldwide, as one of history's deadliest pandemics.Correct answer: What went wrong in the 1330s-1340s?What went wrong in the 1230s-1240s?What went wrong in the 1430s-1440s?What went wrong in the 1530s-1540s?Hope that was right.

You're pretty close, I'll put your questions/answers in now. :DThere's two more categories open before I can create another pre-determined game. This is what I've got so far, good luck getting it to download, there's been problems for some:http://www.filecrunch.com/fileDownload.php...p;fileId=152457You'll see what I mean by not loading questions, let me know of any ways you get it to crash though.

I can't run it at all >.<I wouldn't mind writing another category for you.
Mind telling me what error it says? I'm pretty sure there's something you need to download for it to work properly. And yes, I'd appreciate as many categories as possible.
All programs created with Visual Basic require Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. If you are going to distribute your program through e-mail, make sure that the .NET Framework is already installed on the computers of any recipients.
And this may work if you don't already have it:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

Here's the updated, fixed version:http://www.filecrunch.com/fileDownload.php...382&fileId=Not exactly sure why it wasn't working, but I fixed it. For the most part, it's playable, but I have all the right answers as the first choice for now.Oh, whatever you do, don't try to venture into the "Make your own Jeopardy game" portion of the program, it'll most likely crash the program.
