Grades And Quitting.

grades are starting to come in for my first semester classes...
Well, i did alot better then I expected. The one class that worried me (Music appreciation) The original grade said 80 which is the lowest B... but on the site that we get the finalized grades, I got an A, so thats a 4.0 GPA wise on a college scale.
Its awsome. I thought I got like a C.
Philosophy, what a trip. That class was so easy thanks to my Highschool math teacher who spent the bettter of 3 weeks teaching us material like that at the end of Finite Math. Never thought Id thank him, haha. I missed the exam day originally however... I misunderstood my teacher and thought he said the review session was that day. But since I did so well in class, he gave me the benefit of the doubt and let me take it. I did it in under an hour, when it was originally meant for 1 and a half. If I got a 0 on that final I would could have made a max of 65 on my final grade (not passing) [35% of the total]. Thank god he let me. I got a 93 without studying, and originally would have gotten an 89, but I talked to him alot and gave him reason to believe I deserved an A (not like outloud, but I guess thats what he thought because I check on the site for final grades, I got an A on that as well). So thats 2 classes with As for the final grade thus far... not bad considering the Music final I totally failed (67).
Im waiting on two more grades. University 101 (joke, i KNOW I got an A, the teachers liked me and I did the work I was supposed to) and English (I worked freakin hard on that one...)
The final exam for English was a portfolio of all our previous papers. We had 4 throughout the semester. We had all but the last one peer edited and then we turned in a SECOND draft to the professor. After that he gave his suggestions while still leaving it open ended in a way... and As the final we took those papers he looked over and revised them into a final copy. We stuck the second draft of all the papers in the folder, in front of the finalized drafts and he is to grade them. Im assuming the way he grades them is dependant on how well you improved and how much time you actually took to revise them. You were not required to revise A papers, I had only 1 of those. But I spent alot of time on the C+/B- paper I had and the rest of them I spent a relatively long amount of time on considering I never revise usually... And I talk to him too (it really DOES pay to have a good relationship with your teacher). I think I got an A... hopefully...
He gave us this assignment on the last day that was a 1 page handwritten reason as to what grade we think we deserve and why. He said If we provide enough plausible evidence and say we got an A, we will get an A... I did that, and had the work to prove it, so im hoping for an A...
If I can manage to get all 4 As for this semester, I will have a 4.0 GPA for the first time in My history... woow.. BoBo? 4.0 GPA? WTF!
Im lovin this college thing, same to less work, more GPA =P
Anyways... thats whats new schoolwise...
For those of you who dont know, (Considering im not a distinguised member I judge that to be alot of you), I am quitting runescape. I got very bored of it, and when I hit college I was completely unmotivated to play it. I had my Playstation 3 with me, and a broadband network that didn't give out on me constantly. So I played Call of Duty of Metal Gear most of the spare time I had. I had plenty of it, and the rest I spent trying to socialize with people I knew and maybe meet some people I didn't know. Overall, successful semester, and sad to say I already quit my membership (which ive been a member since it was $5 a month, so I will never have that price again..) and I shall be retiring as a runescape player....
R.I.P. Skullshogun... Combat 106... A total of 9.6M in GP, and TONs more in items. I am not dropping any of it or selling any of my items. Instead I find it better to keep my items, sell what I do NOT wish to keep (empty the bank a bit) and If I want to come back to Runescape someday, I shall have my stuff. Its for the best.
I shall still be here on the forums, mainly reading blogs, but I shall occasionally peak over to other sections (probably not the runescape part since im behind the times).
LONG post, I know, but I felt like typing =p. Anyway, Goodby fellow runescapers.
