So today I was in the science lab doing an experiment with calcium. So basically me and my friend added too much water without knowing and then I added half a bottle of calcium, thinking it would be funny. Obviously he thought it would be too so when I walked away he put in the other half. I cam back with him laughing his head off. So I said why are you luaghing? so he replied, I added half a bottle. Then I told him I did. Then

KABOOM

Luckily no one was hurt. except that one nerd An exciting day to say the least. Then I found out my teacher took 24 marks of my test results! I attempted to murder (I meant shouting my head off!) her then got in trouble.

I've done fire writing before. I wonder what chemical reactions I can make up next time :P

My friend dropped a block of potassium down the sink plug hole. Steam was pouring out of the 4 surrounding sinks

Weird, Calcium should only react with hot water. Unless you were trying to get it to react with the water, of course. :P

It's likely to blow up your gas line too, so I'd really, really advise you not to drop potassium into your sink. :xd:

Our school has the gas coming from the roof and the water goes from the ground up. So maybe we got lucky.

Still looked very cool :P

I wonder if it was actually steam or if it was copious amounts of hydrogen gas xD

Well, since it likely didn't catch fire (lack of oxygen) and definitely didn't explode (unless Doddsy forgot to mention that x3), it was probably hydrogen gas. :P

It didn't explode :P It could've been hydrogen gas but we thought of it as steam and were playing around with it as it billowed out
