Citadel Tiers
I'd speculated that the restrictions looked like this:
Tier 2: tier 1 tree
Tier 3: tier 2 tree, tier 1 mine
Tier 4: tier 3 tree, tier 2 mine, tier 1 firemaking/smithing
Tier 5: tier 4 tree, tier 3 mine, tier 2 firemaking/smithing
Tier 6: tier 5 tree, tier 4 mine, tier 3 firemaking/smithing, tier 1 crafting/summoning
Tier 7: tier 6 tree, tier 5 mine, tier 4 firemaking/smithing, tier 2 crafting/summoning, tier 1 cooking
However, here's what I discovered when trying to upgrade to tier 4:
This makes it a little harder to discern a pattern. It could be that tier 5 will require every skill plot to be tier 3+, but this is sheer guesswork. We can only be sure that a tier 4 mine will be needed for precious metal bars.
Tier 2: tier 1 tree
Tier 3: tier 2 tree, tier 1 mine
Tier 4: tier 2 tree, tier 2 mine*, tier 2 firemaking/smithing
Tier 5: ?
*a tier 3 mine is a de facto requirement, since bars are needed to upgrade further.
We can still lay out how the next few weeks will look (it's currently week 6):
If we're able to upgrade to tier 5 on week 10, then week 11 can be skipped. After weeks 12/13, there's too much uncertainty.
Finally, here are the calculations for next week. We'll be working toward a tier 4 upgrade, so it'll be the most demanding week yet. Fortunately refining charcoal does not require timber.
