Something that's been bothering me for a while...

Do you consider yourself prolife?

Are you in favor of capital punishment (The Death Penalty)?

Are you in favor of war?

If you said yes to the first, and either of the second two, you are NOT prolife, what you are is anti-women.

This argument is becoming obscene.

Also are the Republicans trying to throw the election?

I don't see how killing people is anti-women but okay.

If the baby they saved was gay, would they still protect it's rights?

You know, I don't get people that's pro Capital Punishment.

The majority of them say they're for it because of things like "Eye for an eye" and that they deserve it, but honestly... if you commit a crime worthy of a death penalty, wouldn't it be worse to rot the rest of your life in isolation in the same, small room, for decades with anywhere to go as your sanity withers away?

Capital punishment is, to me (and I'm not trying to offend any of the people that's pro-Capital Punishment in this thread, it's just how I view it), a punishment supported by those that's either too dumb to realize that sparing them the suffering of jailtime for the rest of their life, is far worse than being killed while tranquilized in a matter of minutes.

I get that some people are of the opinion that no one deserves to suffer, but I've never been one for such naive nonsense. If you've done something to warrant a death penalty, you've done something so horrible that you deserve to suffer as you sit in your jailcell for the rest of your life, regretting it.

Heck, even if they're innocent, that's a good thing. At least they will "just" lose X years until they're proven innocent instead of being wrongfully murdered.

The world's too soft. No one deserves to die, but there are many that deserves to suffer for life (and I'm also in favour of strengthening certain punishments for convicts of that severity. Give them the bare minimum of benefits (not saying they should treat them inhumane) so they are forced to reflect on what they did. A lot.

I would rather kill them and forget about it.

I was in favor of capital punishment until I realized that it wasn't massively cheaper for society like I assumed.

Yep, it's all about the money for me. Now if you'll excuse me, I have several Latin American sweatshops to tend to.

Not prolife (in the abortion sense), but against the death penalty.

So I'm like.. hypocritical in another way.. dude..

(or I think life has more to do with experiences, emotions, and memories than it does.. being a fetus, but that's just me.)

No because it chose to be gay

Yuan: I recall reading a story in high school about a lawyer who bets an accountant 15 million dollars if he spent 15 years in solitary confinement. It sucked for the first few years, but he was also promised anything he needed to get by, as long as it didn't involve human contact. He eventually started asking for books on languages, cultures, world history, and on basically every subject imaginable. He ended up writing a journal eventually, detailing how he hated humanity and wanted no longer to be a part of it and therefore was going to leave solitary confinement on the last day so he wouldn't get his money, but he ended up oversleeping.

The story ended there, but the point is some people can see the best of things if they're still alive. If they're dead, well, what can they live for?
