Yay life

What better to do than mimic my 15 year old self and overshare on the internet? My last blog post was basically at the start of my self-discovery journey and so much has been going on since then. This past year I met my best friend who is about the only person I feel comfortable spilling my guts to, and is basically my rock. Which is timely because my 7 year relationship/3.5 year marriage is officially finished and she's hurt me so bad I don't know what to do most days. And now I have the pleasure of splitting our assets, including our house that I poured myself into, and eventually moving back in with my parents. So yeah, stay in school, kids, it's safer there.

That’s rough. I assume you don’t have kids since you didn’t mention any. That’s at least a plus.

Nope, but there's a dog

Good! You are far better off talking about these things, in whatever form, than bottle it up inside. Your pain is something most people can, to some extent, relate to. One of my experiences has been that, the older I am getting, the more I realise I am still pretty young. Sometimes, it is better to just stop, evaluate how life is going, and make decisions on what directions to head next. Your life came to a halt, so if that is the case, regroup and figure out what you want life to be like, and pour yourself into that.

Is that easier said than done? Of course it is, but that is the purpose of a goal, hopes and a dream. :cute:

Something that helped me was reframing positivity back into my life.

I would write three things I was grateful for every day. I would also write about all the positive things that happened in the day.

After a while, you stop focusing so heavily on the negatives, and your mind is always searching for the positives. Of course, life still happens, and it can be good or bad, and you can't change those things easily. But with a different frame of mind, things can get easier.

You've got this, and of course, if you ever want to talk, I'm down. I've been through it all too.
