    Hosting

Have you tried both hosts for a lengthy period of time before you've assumed one is better than the other? im basing of shauns review and ive tried a demop of the cpanel. cPanel is pretty standard software. Its the industry standard, and you can't comment on a hosting company, based on the cPanel... i checked out the version of it though. cPanel really doesn't change from which host you go with... :)

Did you fail to read the bit about leaving the Vista vs OSX debate to another topic, or did you just ignore it? Click here to start a debate on it if you want to: http://runescape.salmoneus.net/forums/inde...w_post&f=82 My analogy wasn't which is better or more secure ( ) I was saying Vista has many releases, none of which really suit everyone, while OSX has one single release perfect for everyone. :)

    Bluehost.com Review

I've heard several people say how good the support it just on this forum. 400mb is more than enough for me, infact 100mb is. At the end of the day, its down to personal preference. I find ASO is better suited for me, you find BlueHost more suited. That is true, it does have a lot to do with personal preference, kinda. I don't see how that makes sense for getting basically the same product in return, only your getting less space, and less bandwidth, and paying more... As for 400MB being fine for you. I see how 400MB would work with something like a blog or anything like that, well actually, might not work for a big blog, but anyways, again there's that personal preference. I need lots of space and bandwidth expecially with all the downloads of my software off my site. Just depends what you use it for.

Again, I think the service with BlueHost is just as good. I think the hype about ASO's support is just in your head. I just don't think getting that support email out 2 minutes earlier is worth compensating for 400MB of space for $10 a month.

imo, if you use 15000GB of bandwidth, your going to break the fair use terms or be using up more than a fair share of the CPU. IMO, I know I will never use 15000GB of bandwidth, I am just saying its nice to have, while it is (i think ) less than what the SMALLEST ASO plan is. The only advantage is see to having it is it looks nice in the cPanel and you can show off with the amount you have. The smallest ASO plan has 3gb Bandwidth. Perfect for a small blog or testing site. See, thats what I love about BlueHost, they have ONE plan perfect for all their customers, and here's a nice analogy. A Small Orange is to Windows Vista as BlueHost is to OSX. :P Thank you for complementing ASO. (imo anyway, Vista > OSX anyday, but lets save that for another topic) Not what I was going for. :) ITS ON!!! But anyways, I have heard "ASO SOOP0RT IS DA B0mB"! When I have had fantastic AMERICAN support with BlueHost. No middle-east junk. I would consider ASO if they would offer some better plans. I mean, with ASO you are shelling out way to much for way too little in return.

    Bluehost.com Review

Why would you not like them for giving away more bandwidth? :) "Here you go. Please take so more bandwidth." "No thanks, I don't need that much. I'm going elsewhere." I have been with BlueHost since the beginning of the year and have had fantastic service. I set my site up late on a Sunday night and still got my welcome call within 30 minutes. I have also experienced zero downtime. When I did call them up, I didn't get transferred to a support person from the far East, so that was great. Edit: How long have you been using their service, Shaun? You should specify that in your review. Because I have no need for it. It would be like me buying a plane with a range of 10,000km, when I only have a license to fly 100km. Well why wouldn't you buy the plane with the better range when it is the same price as the plane that can only go 1/100 the range?

    Hosting

If you read my review on BlueHost here: http://runescape.salmoneus.net/forums/inde...howtopic=212208 you can read the review and the replies and see we have had very good service. They offer fantastic features too. They do only offer 100 MySQL databases, but there is no size limit on the databases. -Shaun

I have had only good things come out of BlueHost so far.
  14. Link: http://bluehost.com Review For many years, I have hosted my own server. Not too long ago, it blew up and i was forced to look into the discusting world of shared hosting, because i really can't afford a dedicated server. So, I looked into some reviews and there were some very mixed opinions on bluehost.com's hosting service. I decided to try it out, and within seconds of entering my credit card information, it presented me a link to login to cPanel. Within a minute or so, they also gave me a phone call welcoming me to their hosting service. I had a dispute about transfering my domain, so i called up their billing department, and it was sorted out within literally a minute. They also have a Live Chat feature, which is nice. Another feature is the fact they only offer one plan, with more than enough features. They offer 1500GB, yes GB, not MB, of disc space, along with 15000GB of Bandwidth, thats 3 0's btw. Anyways, my point is if you read reviews about bluehost, many are negative. These are either fake, or made back when the company was very small. I have had a fantastic expierience with bluehost, and i am sure i will continue to. They are definetly my choice for hosting. Shaun's Hosting Review Stats Support - 5/5 - Fantastic support, very quick email responses. Uptime - 4.5/5 - Have received very little downtime. Features - 10/5 - The best part about bluehost is the features. They offer more then enough to suit all their customers. OVERALL SCORE 5/5
