Will I Go To Hell. Im Homosexual

-Advent Child, Jake, Dager First off just reinstating that the Bible is against gays: Corinthians 6:9,10 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." A common facts of Christianity that is often told to the general public is that Jesus loves you no matter what you do, or who you are, and that he wants you to go to Heaven. I'm not saying this is wrong, but you guys are taking it to far, maybe just by the way we imply it. Jesus Christ who is the one and only Son of God came down to this crappy earth to be tortured, beaten, mocked, shamed in from of his people and ultimately brutally killed just so that he could give the option to save each and everyone of us who accept him. This is the love which you here. Now being a strong Christian isn't cheap, you have to give up your bad ways, such as being gay, and what not. God loved us so much that he gave up his only kid for us pointless insignificant people, and he wants you to come to him as a Father to a son. He wants us to humble ourselves before him, and worship him. We need to be, and act below him. We are not above God, and he will not show mercy on Judgment day. I highly doubt God is going to say when you are before the Judgment seat "last chance, want to follow Jesus?" God created marriage to be between a man and a women, otherwise he could have let two men reproduce. Derailing yourselves from the guidelines of God's creation is in direct disobedience to him. And Jake, as honorable as your intentions are, I much rather hate someone than go to a pit of fire where you can not die for eternity. John Adams, thanks for the reply. The Holy Spirit telling us things, isn't like out of the blue, "(name here) listen to my command for you, gay is bad! rawr..." It is something you will only understand once you become a Christian, about Islam being around before us that blatantly not true. Muhammad started as a story teller, and told stories of the early Jews, he later called Jesus just a prophet in the Qur'an or Koran. Search Islam on wiki, and in the second paragraph it'll confirm this. True, Christianity was founded after these religions (not Judaism), but its scripture dates back to Creation. Nevertheless your point is? Read until you believe Haven't we been over this in Romans 14:14-21? And how does my logic say that man amended it? I'm going to try to agree with you in the sense that yes, one sin is enough to send you to Hell. I have to admit i was surprised when i read your verse, I have not heard of this. Nevertheless Romans 14:14-21 nullifies this. But if you lived 3000 years ago, it would be a sin. Forewarning, as i have said this isn't my strong suit, but I doubt this would be enforced, because i think rape was a high crime back then. Wow so much information, but no names, dates, nothing. You said things such as "I can only recall one of the finds", "If i recall correctly" "I forget the name of the guy"(which was Daniel). This would not hold up in court. Don't say "I do, if your not going to be doing your homework, because i sure have. Also if this were true i would guess this isn't the first time I have heard of this theory. Read until you believe Umm, God did kill an entire army, but that was no more than a few thousand if i remember, and he has also smote a few people along the line. Other than that, Satan is the one who is putting all his sweet and faithful followers in a pit of fire and watching them scream in pain for the next billion, no wait eternity, which never ends... I may seem to come across as a very, condemning person, but I assure you that I am only struggling for your salvation which is the key ingredient that everyone needs in their lives. Some things may not make sense to you now, but if you become a Christian, and truly give your life to God you will be shown wisdom, and unbreakable truth. In a final note, I will not be able to come online for about a week, but afterwards I'll see if this is alive. If you have any final thoughts it may be smart to message me them.

Will I Go To Hell. Im Homosexual

I can know this, because God tells us what is a sin in scripture, and the Holy Spirit tells us what is right and wrong. I do know this, Muslims are the farthest thing from Christians, even if they borrow the same story and twist our principles. Our just God would not make it impossible to reach Heaven. At least spell my username right. Umm it is fact, and you are just narrow minded not to see that there is a God, and that the Bible is true. I was referring to the fact that your post towards me was quite narrow minded, and stubborn. Man did not ammend that pork was ok to eat, God just let it go. Yes a sin is a sin, and not all are equal (raping someone's wife, is not as bad as saying "OMG"). I believe that your eternity in hell will be a reflection of how you acted on earth, i'm not sure where that verse is though. Please stop using shellfish and mix-fabric garments as an example since it is not a sin, thus preachers don't talk about it. As i stated before even if they were sins that I committed, through the blood of Christ who died on the Cross for all the world, our sins are taken away. Street preachers are more likely to talk about common sins done among their audience like sleeping around, and homosexuality. What do you mean ammended, as in created? There was a very short time in between the final put together of the New Testament, and the ministry of Jesus. In the mean time his disciples who knew the stuff first hand acted as those Bibles (if you understand me). There was no gap when people had no clue what was going on. And yea, the Bible seems to state that Women can't have any leadership role in churches. But again, this subject I am weakly educated on. Lastly, when did i say priests/pastors couldn't marry. Maybe your thinking of Chatholics, who have come up with some of their own stuff they believe to be true. That is the strangest stuff I've heard on this forum (actually not really) But i'm sure you have tons of historical evidence to back this up. Are you saying that the Original Bible is true, and that you would believe that one. Because actually I know where a copy is. Everywhere. There is plenty of evidence that these Storys in the Bible are true, and that God is real, you just need to open your eyes to see it. Thus you and gays are going to hell. Thanks again for the questions, and for not being so narrow-minded. I don't mind debating.

Will I Go To Hell. Im Homosexual

Ok, lets weed through these one at a time. And please try to keep a relatively open mind, and if not that, a calm (not Christians are stupid) outlook on it. Lilshu first- First off, having a kosher diet isn't considered a sin, (i'm not entirely sure what that is) Secondly if i did sin, like if I burnt down your house. I could be forgiven through the blood of Christ which covers all sins. (only if i was sincerely sorry, if I'm not serious, than God won't grant me a free ride off) John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Acts 13:38 "Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you." Sins=Perish Christ=Eternal life which means Heaven apposed to Hell. Regarding Po22 I didn't realize that was damnation worthy, but I will give it a thought once I see evidence. God inspired all scripture, and worked through men to write it. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." I'm not familiar with the term CE (perhaps it is my 15 year old education), and the Ministry of Christ is what inspired the writings. I have never heard of any plagiarism taking place. But as always, scriptural proof, or sound historical evidence will be deeply considered. I have not memorized scripture completely (or even close), but I do know Jesus was not fond of Pharisees as they were hypocrites when it came to following God, they did so much wrong because they translated scripture in the way they wanted. It wouldn't surprise me if Jesus used harsh words from them, (don't neglect to take the time to look for scripture). As for being biased, I would say God is possibly biased seeing how he is right, being all powerful and wise. If somebody was using him (God) to show off and get what they wanted, that would make anything mad. Thanks for the long post though, I'm happy you had questions John Adams, had something to get off your chest didn't you. Well now that you say something I am deluded ( EXTREME SARCASM ELERT ^_^ ) But seriously, that post isn't helping anything, Its called the debate room, not the slander and leave room. I am adamant about my Faith, your post isn't budging me. Here we go, well you got your facts write on the first bit (that i know of, possibly the clothing one and shellfish are true but i don't know yet) Your right in Deuteronomy 14:8 "The pig is also unclean; although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses." God likely gave this command because pigs are one of the closest things to human, and can carry very compatible diseases, thus with their unsanitary ways back then, they were not supposed to eat it, but that being said there is scripture later allowing it to be eaten. The first verse is really the only needed one to get the point across, but the others confirm it. Romans 14:14-21 "As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall." As for multi material clothing, and shellfish, havn't heard that one, but scripture is always welcome. Women rights though is a can of worms that has been disregarded, and i'm not entirely sure about that one, but its not a sin, just more like a suggestion. Mostly though what the Bible discusses is women leadership in churches, but it does say that they are inferior when it comes to that. I really don't have enough wisdom in this topic. But to support your point and mine really. 1 Corinthians 11:7-10 "A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head." I'll ask about this when i get the chance, and if you are still wondering i'll give what answer i can. But i don't think it is really a sin if a women does all this as there are lots of women in ministry. You are right in the way that Bible is written for all man kind. Men and Women. And no i'm not going to Hell, at this point unfortunately you are. (as it sounds like) Not directly quoting me, but a question i will answer AdventChild A common misconception from Christians and Non-Christians alike. God is one of Justice. He does love everyone equally, even Pharisees, and you, but he loves us like a perfect father should. (Keywords 'perfect' and 'should') Like a perfect Father, he wants you to love him (thus being a Christian) obey him (thus not being gay), and in return you get benefits, like eternal life in paradise, thats a long time if you think about it. and last cjgone Thank-you for agreeing with me, if you were... Sorry as much as i would want to be your brother, I rather it be a Brother of Christ. I don't get why you would condemn me because the Bible told you to. Explain? If only i was no different from everyone else, we all would go to Heaven. Or when you say "you" do you mean the gay kid, in which case i know what your talking about. Read my above comments it should cover this. Well that covers them for today, took me about an hour (very well spent) to cover all those, as I am no college scholar in scripture. It took me some time to scrounge up verses. I originally thought i wouldn't come back, but i have felt a calling from the Holy Spirit to do such, and well as long as i answer questions, thats fine by me. As always, don't hold back the questions, but lets keep it nice. Have i insulted any of you yet?

    Are People Born Gay?

Thats opinion, but to my belief there is no sound proof other than speculation that you can be born with gay DNA or something like that.

Will I Go To Hell. Im Homosexual

Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Jesus Christ being part of the Trinity, thus being God never changes. Thus you will go to Hell for being gay. I'll believe it when I see it. I showed proof, you have shown nothing, but what you think you know. Another verse that sums it up Corinthians 6:9,10 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

    Are People Born Gay?

A common question Zamma, and a commonly questioned one. Lets progress the question further, can one be born a murder, drug addict, sex addict? Maybe you feel that isn't that same, depends on your religious belief mostly. My secular opinion is that being gay is something you become by the actions you have taken. One may become gay by having a perverted experience, or many perverted wrong experiences, often being gay is an act of confusion, or bad experience with being straight (like being cheated on by the opposite sex) Yes homosexuality is a long lasting thing people have done for ages, but it comes from the same outcome. One last thing which makes you gay is that you mistake a close friendship with the opposite gender, as that more sexual relationship.

Will I Go To Hell. Im Homosexual

Don't got a lot of time. I know being gay is a sin, thus it is equaling Hell. Those who say being gay is not a sin said in the bible 2 scriptures to clear it up Genesis 2:24-25 says, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” & Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." The Reliability Of The Bible

You haven't proved that any biblical actually happened either, that's why it isn't reliable. Ok lets start with a simple one, you know that Nation Israel that is discussed in the Bible, yea well hate to brake it to you but they're real...
  11. Valethem

    The Reliability Of The Bible

Just because something requires faith does not mean that it isn't reliable. Unreliable means that it is undependable and untrustworthy, and that I will never concede. I mean heck... Being unreliable, implies that certain events in the bible didn't happen. I mean if you said this is unprovable and it requires faith alone, then I agree! If you said, "this requires faith, and that means it is unreliable." I just don't agree with that. Because it can't be proven! It's a book full of events that can't be proven, making them unreliable! I don't understand how this is hard to understand! Also, Jesus said "whosoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a LITTLE child will by no means enter it." Yes, LITTLE children are taught many things that are not backed by evidence. Jesus also told his disciples that they accepted his conquering death because they saw it, but the truly blessed will be the ones who believe WITHOUT SEEING. The whole point is that the faith is supposed to be accepted without evidence, this coming straight from Jesus. Consider it a matter of semantics. The bible and unreliable don't go in the same sentence. And I agree. This does not mean that the bible is unreliable though! That would imply that it is undependable... Maybe even false. Reliable means dependable...right? I think so. How about this: it's reliable for its beliefs and ideals, but not for any historical significance. And I never said the Bible was false. You haven't proved otherwise, so how could you say that in full confidence? Well the Bible says that God walked with Adam and Eve, until they sinned. So how could it not be possible that Creation dodged discussion. As to those who say the Bible has been passed down by word, and writings, and could have gotten confused. The OT was put together from each of the original documents. The stories in the book of Genesis were passed down as very common knowledge, so it would be hard to get confused. Also that chapter doesn't get very specific, and only covers major points. Other then creation which is very specific. Also when Moses was writing Genesis he had God helping him (in easier terms), so I doubt God would have let him miss something that would effect Christianity forever.

    The Reliability Of The Bible

I've heard the opposite, but to use your own facts against you. In that case over billions of years of millions, the moon would be so close that it would have strange affects gravitationally on the earth. Never heard that one before, and they wouldn't have to be so high off the ground. Why are rockets resting on the ground before the blast into space? Who wouldn't? Umm i never said that, and the way you present it in your post is challenging your intelligence which i never have, and neither did mormril, he was just trying to specify whether or not Adam? was disagreeing with him. In fact he wasn't even referring to you, so to quote that and then slam either him or me in the face is quite unnecessary... I have no clue why you did that. By saying "who wouldn't" implies that we are have nothing truthful to say, and that anybody with a head on their shoulders would disagree with us.

    The Reliability Of The Bible

You are thinking of the now-disused "Great Bible", issued by Henry VIII right after the Anglican Schism to have a Bible specific for the Church of England and differentiate it from the Latin Vulgata in use by the Catholic Church. The Anglican Schism happened in 1534 by the famous Act of Supremacy and by the lesser known Treasons Act (which prescribed death to those who did not recognise the nature of the King/Queen of England as the head of the Anglican Church. Lovely!), 70 years before the KJV was started, in 1604. Henry VIII shuffled his mortal coil in 1547. OMG ZOMBIE HENRY VIII BRAAAAAAAAAAINSSSSSS. The ones who poked around to get a new translation of the Bible due to perceived mistranslations in the Great Bible were the Puritans: notably, the Mayflower sailors belonged to that branch of Christianity. Read more about the Henry VIII's Great Bible (which is NOT the KJV - not even close) here: http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol...icle3040191.ece Curiously, in the UK the KJV is still under copyright protection. :) I misread my info, and against my pride's judgment i admit i was wrong. But as you read on in the article it says that there was complaints that the there were parts of scripture changed due to the writers inability to translate into English, because they were better at Latin. Thus my argument stands, but the original proof is out the window. Trust me I have been a Christian a long time, I know a lot of Christians, I go to a Christian school and not once have i heard anyone believe in giants, unicorns, and cockatrices. Yea nobody really has a clue when time started through our method of science, I mean honestly I have heard people say 4,328,488 years (literally) and up to billions of years. Everytime they check a dinosaur they seem to get a different answer. I've also heard the numbers 10,000 many times. Its the same faulty philosophy of time dating by earth layers, that the earth layers date the time, and the time dates the earth layer. Good proof that we haven't been here as long as some might think is 1. If we were here billions or even a few million years, the Earth would be no more. The Moon would have crashed into the earth by now (yes the orbit is slowly getting smaller) Then one might say, well maybe the moon started with a very big orbit, doesn't work that way. 2. When they first landed on the moon they put the huge legs on the lunar lander for the purpose of feet upon feet of space dust that had collected over millions of years. Problem was they only found a centimeter.
  14. Valethem

    The Reliability Of The Bible

That's like saying any historical fiction is reliable, since the events took place in real historical times. Well unlike historical fiction stories, there is proof that there are Israelites, there is proof of the crucifixion, there is proof of Paul's missions. Historical fiction is usually a story of someone who was part of history, but played a minor role and was made up (lets say a story of a soldier during the civil war era) yes the civil war did happen but no proof of the soldier. The Bible is different, thus you can't write it off under those grounds

    The Reliability Of The Bible

To Arianna- Maybe this quote from good'ole Wikipedia should clear things up The Authorized King James Version is an English translation of the Christian Bible begun in 1604 and first published in 1611 by the Church of England. The Great Bible was the first "authorized version" issued by the Church of England in the reign of King Henry VIII. In January 1604, King James I of England convened the Hampton Court Conference where a new English version was conceived in response to the perceived problems of the earlier translations as detected by the Puritans.[/b] The Puritans were a faction within the Church of England. King Henry VIII was a Catholic for 99% of his life, and had the interpretation KJV written. King James I only authorized it. And then just as I have stated that the Puritans (Anglican) found errors in it. Because it is the written word of God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that can't be proven or disproved, so it's unreliable. well if it can't be disproven, you can't write it off as unreliable yet. All the facts point to reliability. All the historical events that happened in the Bible are true. Such as the rise and fall of the empires. As for Phoenix- The most i said is that the KJV lost some things in the interpretation, just by how they worded it. I'm not exactly sure how it was written, but I know it is a lot harder to study, due to its poeticalness, and exaggerations facts are distorted.
