    Welp

Well, that sucks :( It was good while it lasted, I reckon. I'd love to stay and liven the place up, but I think my time here is long past due. With that, I bid you all adieu.

    Welp

I guess this is my mandatory anniversary topic. Just logged in yesterday to see how things were going, looks like the site has changed a bunch. So, how is everybody? I've noticed the roleplaying room has died down a bit... Kind of sad, I just recently got back into the roleplaying spirit on some other sites. I guess after today I'm gonna ollie outtie for another year or so, so if anyone wants to curse my name or profess their undying love of me then now is the time.
  3. So much. Biggest thing I remember is multiple accounts.

[[Ooc: Haha holy crap I hope you don't expect me to write anywhere near that much]] The healer gave a small sigh, turning to make his way upstairs ahead of the others. He chose one of the two doors at random, damn near falling to the floor trying to stumble his way to the bed in two steps. Jorm let his pack slide off onto the floor as he flopped his lower half onto the bed, reveling in all it's comfy glory. "I don't care how unprofessional this looks but this bed is so comfortable you wouldn't believe." He gave a groan of displeasure as one of the others motioned for him to get up. "Fine." He pulled himself up by the bed post and kicked his pack under the bed. "Not like I've been sleeping on a piece of wood for the past month or so. I mean, I haven't, but still.". He resigned himself to the doorway as Varl and Amanda dropped off their things, mumbling a few obscenities along the way (something unpleasant involving the bedpost). Slumping to the ground just outside the frame, he quietly recited a few prayers. [[Ooc: Sorry if that is nowhere near as long as you need ;_; ]]

Blagh sorry sorry sorry had some computer and password and email issues and let's just say i'm never using gmail again. ------------- Name: Jorm Anders Age: 27 Rank: Corporal Appearance: 6'1'', lanky build. Slightly rounded jaw with a scar running down the left side, crooked nose, wide brown eyes, short and messy golden-brown hair. Adminite shortsword in a waist side sheath, iron dagger in a bootstrap. Cotton under armor with riveted chainmail over it, a metal red plus sign sewn onto the right shoulder of the cotton. He tries to enchant it with some minor healing properties (scrapes and bruises) if he has knowledge of an upcoming conflict. Abilities: 6. Healing magic 3. Swordsmanship 3. Hand to hand 2. Necromancy Personality: Curiosity driven, loyal and trustworthy, although a little criminally-inclined. Despite the curiosity, he tends to stay out of affairs that don't directly involve him. The most naive and caring person you'd ever know, he'd heal a shark with a vendetta if you told him it was a vegetarian. Fighting style: Indirect. Unless directly confronted by an enemy, Jorm keeps his distance from battle and heals injuries. Given the choice to ubercharge a man on the frontlines or stay back and heal the wounded brought back, he would choose the second option almost every time. History: Jorm was raised by a nurse and a priest, and as such has had practice with healing magic from a young age. He worked as a field medic in the military, until some shrapnel to the face, a mispronounced spell and a malpractice suit got him kicked out for good. During his downtime, Jorm studied necromancy from a cemetery worker (despite having little use for it in his line of work). He jumped at the suggestion from a friend to join the bodyguard, and after receiving some basic training in sword fighting and hand to hand, he became a renowned combat medic. Does that work for enchantment? --------------

Okay. That is a good thought. Keep in mind though, sneaking comes down to three things really. Easy of mobility (encumbrance), silence, and weight. All armors are pretty mobile. You have problems with silence when metal is given room to move (too loose, or not perfectly fitted). As for weight, knights could do handstands in full plate. While armor will slow a person down, it really only shows in long distance running, or over uneven ground. Because of this, silence is the more important aspect when considering armor for sneaking then weight. Silence can either be accomplished by not giving the metal room to make noise (form fitting and having cloth on at least one side to pad it), or separating it with cloth (small metal plates, with somewhere between a quarter inch and half inch of cloth between them). The problem with the second is openings between the plates, as well as weight distribution. The problem with the first is that you are going to really feel it when a crushing weapon hits you, and form fitting means less ability to move through the full range of motion. I am not trying to foist a certain type of armor off on you, simply give you ideas. I like the idea of leather armor and chainmail pieces, as it does effectively break up an outline. The problem is simply how weak unenchanted leather is. AWOL? So he deserted the army? Okay, a few questions. One, how does he enchant armors? Enchanting something typically takes at least a day or two (for healing magic). Usually it takes the better part of a week, and that is for cloth garments. And those are the lesser enchantments (healing scratches, or one or two inch deep cuts). I don't mind if he does it off the field, but I took it to mean he does it in combat. Secondly, please give Jorm a side arm, even if it is a simple dagger. Thirdly, why no helmet? I left it off the bios so that the example characters would have an easily exploitable weakness. I hope you didn't read them and think "my character must have an easily exploitable weakness." I'm not saying make him a walking tank . Not having a helmet can be very character defining; either they are arrogant, or vain, or attention seeking. Your character didn't seem to fit the bill for any of these , so I assumed that wasn’t the reason. If it is, please correct. I have an open door policy for corrections (that is, I won’t take any corrections out on you in story). Lastly, oft-enchanted? What type of enchantments were you thinking of? To be clear, I am not against this idea at all, I just want to know beforehand. I should also have been clearer. The study times take for granted that the student studies for about six hours a day every day for that period of time. And that is with supervision by a teacher. How did Jorm learn Necromancy? By book or by teacher? I am not against him having Necromancy at all, or at that level, I just want to know how he learned. Thank you for joining, and I hope I didn't come off too harsh. I like ironing out all the major details in a bio before accepting, so that the number of possible problems in-story are cut down. ~John Ergh, not AWOL'd. I think... Court Martial (or PIGF equivalent) would be the right term, not sure. I'll take off the enchantment, really don't want to get more in depth with it than I have to. I'll add a sidearm. Kind of forgot why I took off the helmet, I'll take that part out. I don't know if necromancy is "taboo" or looked down upon or whatnot in this rp. If you could clear that up that'd be awesome :( I'll reqork my application in the meantime.

    Spyro Minigame?

The ghost-like things were either Ghost Rhynocs or Thieves. Both of them steal eggs and appear ghost-like, the Ghost Rhynocs moreso (obviously).

    And... We're Back! New Forums!

Is it just me or does the blue and white scheme and the like button remind you of Facebook..? (someone most-def already said that but too lazy to look)

I'm no poetry buff, but I quite liked it :( Only thing I can say is that it doesn't seem so much like poetry than just a (for lack of a better word) saying. No real pattern or rhythm, at least none that I can discern, and if a poem doesn't rhyme then it's usually one of those two things that keep it poem-y. (again, this is coming from someone with no experience with poetry or anything like it. Probably better to get a second opinion on it)

KSH? Funny, that's exactly the one rule I have. There are more, mind you, but they are mostly guidelines. Anyways, I'll try it. My brain fails me once again and manages to plagiarize a rule on a Minecraft server >_< What's your username? It's a common rule. Zachman3334. Common misconception in the first few weeks was that I was ZacharyB. Whitelisted. I saw that zachman3334 tried to login earlier and thought it might be you, but I wasn't too sure because of griefers.

So uh, KSH is up if anyone wants to play. There are really no rules aside from "don't fudge with other players stuff", but even that's kind of loose since everything is usually collaborative. 50.97.168.245:25567, PM for whitelist. Anyone with creative mode enabled already is mod, and you can ask them for any items you can't get easily/legit.

Mushroom Cows. Discuss. Anyways, in our 1.7 map there was a large cavern system underneath our town. It was a shizzle of a time making our basements. In the 1.8 map, we thought we were fine. Fast forward one three days, while I'm digging out underneath my house, and bam. Giant ravine with a giant cavern running through the middle of it. It goes under the entire town and most of the ocean. I actually have two entrances IN the ocean, one of which I marked with wood. I lost the other one.
