    Clan Wars

The Clan Wars Minigame Credits: Written By: Bren the Bli Special thanks to: Locked Up999, Roy, I am TD, W1ld, Mikey, doomcreator0, foster123111, Ihatebacon56, Entrility, Ambo100 In Clan Wars, abbreviated as CW, clans battle to the death similar to how players fight in the duel arena. The object: kill every player in the opposing clan. Clan wars is available to both members and freeplayers. Clan wars is a safe mini-game. Also, other than the xp and morale for your clan, there is nothing to gain. Clan Wars is a mini game in the wilderness. It is located in the red circle on the map below, to the east of the Bounty Hunter mini game: Here is a zoomed in veiw of the Clan Wars lobby and how to get there: The Clan Wars lobby looks like this. The only things there are tables, chairs, portals to the arena, and two NPC's. NPCs In the lobby, there is a NPC named Calladin. He can give you some tips about clan wars. There is another NPC, Larry, who sells teams 3, 13, 23, 33, and 43 capes for 50 gp each What to Bring Warriors: Warriors are best off bringing two weapons: A rune scimitar (with a shield), and a rune two handed sword. Green dragonhide vambraces are a great idea, for magic defence, and rune armor works best for melee and range defence. A holy symbol is good if you want to increase the duration of your prayers. Bring fighting, fancy, or leather boots. Inventory: Bring strength potions, your extra weapon(s) and, although it's not necessary, bring food to heal. Unlike Bounty Hunter, there is no bank at the Clan Wars lobby. Member Suggestions: Unless you can afford full dragon or a barrows set, switch the rune two handed sword for a dragon two handed sword, or if you can't afford it, a granite maul. Change the rune scimitar for a dragon longsword or a dragon scimitar. Bring a poisoned dragon dagger and switch the rune full helm for a berserker or warrior helm. Use metal boots if you can. Strategy: Warriors should use their fast weapon first, then go in with the two handed sword to finish the opponent. Warriors should mainly target rangers. Archers: Archers should use a maple longbow for long range attacks, but a shortbow for faster shots is fine too. Green dragonhide armor is best, with no exceptions, unless you can't afford it or use it. Just like warriors, wear a holy symbol, and the same kind of boots. Use iron arrows, as they are inexpensive, but strong enough to offer a decent hit rate through rune or green dragonhide armor. Inventory: Archers should have some melee equipment in case they run out of arrows. Food is suggested by some, but is not needed. Member Suggestions: Switch the maple bow for a magic bow, a seercull, a dark bow, or a crystal bow. Rune crossbows are also useful. If you can, use better dragonhide armor, such as black or red dragonhide. Switch the coif for an archer helm or robin hood hat, for added ranging bonuses. Use snake skin or ranger boots. Strategy: a good tactic is to hit a meleer, then run behind a barricade. The meleer will try to run through the barricade automatically, and will need the help from the player to get around it. Rangers should mostly target mages. Mages: Mages should use blue or black wizard robes. The blue robes have a slight boost above the black, so it would be wiser to choose the blue robes. Mages should also have a staff, preferably air, as all combat spells require air runes, or fire, since air runes can be easy to obtain. The same idea of the holy symbol and boots still apply. Change the vambraces, however, for leather gloves. Inventory: Mages should obviously bring runes. Melee equipment is needed in case you run out of runes. Food, again, is sometimes used, but is not a necessity. Member Suggestions: Use mystic or splitbark armor. A battle or mystic staff is a lot better than an elemental staff. If you want, use a farseer helm, if you have done the Fremminik Trials quest, and bring skeletal armor. Stratagy: Use a similar hit and run tactic that rangers use, and target the meat of the other clan's army, the meleers. The Challenge In the lobby, you can challenge other clans. To challenge a clan, you must have the rank of Captain (Silver Star), General (Gold Star) or be the leader (Key Symbol). To challenge a clan, right click on a member who is a General, Captain, or Leader of another clan, and use the "challenge" option. This will send the challenge to the other player. If you are challenged, you will get a message in your clan's chat channel. It looks like this: If another player in your clan was challenged, or someone else in your clan challenged someone has, you will see another message in your clan's chat channel, that looks like this: At that point, anyone in your clan's chat channel or opposing clan's chat channel can join the battle: To Battle! To join the battle, enter either one of the two portals in the lobby. Note that you cannot enter the portal unless you are in the chat channel of a clan that was challenged. You also cannot enter during another battle. Once there, walk to the center of the arena and you will see something like this: Note that you don't have to walk to the center. That is, however, the main battle point in most wars. A good strategy is having archers and mages go behind the stone barricades, and meleers go in front. Another good strategy is to have everyone wear the same team cape. This way everyone will know where thier clan mates are. Note that you cannot attack anyone on your own clan. Two minutes after the challenge was administered, the rock wall will at the center of the arena go down, and the battle will start. In the battle, it is possible for one on one duels, however there will usually be huge multiplayer fights, or members ganging up on the strongest member of the other clan, and sometimes, you need to find the other clan in the vast arena, which can be confusing. The most fun thing to do here is have giant battles. Anyway, the battle will usually be pretty fast, and under five minutes. The object of the battle is to kill all of the opposing clan's players. If you are killed, you will retain all of your items and be transported to a jail cell, where you wait for the battle to end. Inside the jail cell there is a viewing orb. You can view the parts of the arena through it. If you can successfully kill all of the other clan's players, you will win! But if your clan's warriors are killed first... Good luck to you and your clan in your next battle, and have fun!

Ok, ill add you to it. Anouncement: Members can join, but they need to find f2p weapons.
  10. I think you should be an alrounder. Thats what i am anyway. It can help with a ton of things. You can use range, mage and melee! But pick for yourself.

    Clan Wars

I'll try to update it. The split sentence is mostly showing clips of fights. Why would you wan't to use a d2h? Because it's spec heavily dameges 14 people around you, and it is the strongest weapon other than dh axe. Seercull is great for taking down mages, and dark bow is great pvp. I'll put archer ring and armadyl when i get the chance. Same with the mage stuff. Thank you for the help. Ill add you to the people who helped part. As with the map: I didn't make the how to get there on. I got it from someone, and its the best i had. Edit: I have decided, because i am making my own fansite, that i am going to use this guide on my site. All that help will be mentioned in the people who helped like this: The Sal's Members...; Anyone who may help on my site. Thanks for the help everyone!

    A Few Suggestions

Pest Control This is a rather small update: All it will be is a new pest control boat for people under level 40 who want to play pc. MSSW/Massive Clan War Arena The main suggestion of this thread. Heres the idea: A safe, f2p minigame as maintanance to replace MSSWs (Multi Site Steel Wars). Heres how it will work: 1. In the wild, to the west of bounty hunter, lies a lobby. In the lobby, you must put a team resister in, which looks like a huge table in the lobby. You will also choose a team name, or leave it blank to use your team name. Other names of teams will also show. To chalenge a team/teams, check the teams off with the box next to the team name. Every player who is a leader/ general will get a message simmaller to the clan wars message saying "you have been challenged to a war" When you click it, it will show your possible opponents. The ones who accepted will have thier names in green, the ones who declined in red, and others who didnt respond in blue. For exaple, say i was the team "Bren's Rune Haven" and was facing Sal's Realm, Rune Hq, Tip it, and Rune Village. It would apear somthing like this. Ignore what is in the parenthesies: If you ignore for 2 minutes, you atomaticly decline. Once you accept, go into the waiting room. In the waiting room, you can set up alliances by way of a thing simaller to the clan wars view orb. You send an ally request to the team leader. For example, say Sal sent me a ally request. He would get this: Salmoneus has sent you a request to ally with Sal's Realm If you click the message, you will be an ally. After 2 minutes from the first team making the chalenge, all in the waiting room will be teled to a random corner of the arena. It is a lot larger than clan wars. On the minimap, these color dots mean these things: Yellow: Enemy Green: Ally Blue: your team Freinds and team cape dots are changed to thier respective team dots. The battle continues untill one team/ group of allied teams eliminates everyone else. If you die, you are teleed to a cell much like clan wars. Bh Update: In non bh world, i think you should be able to enter any bh cave, but not fight. This will be so you can look around without people attacking you. Also, so you can get the songs. Ok, done, post away

    A Few Suggestions

You can't adjust or add a mini-game to adjust to one event. Instead just use tournament elimination or even Bounty Hunter. No to the Pest Control boat. The point is for 40+ to gain xp, not everybody. They have clan wars for a paticular event, and bh for pking, why not have a thing for MSSWs liken the old days (exept with out loosing items) without nubs interfeering.

I put in some bacic stratagy. Clan wars doesn't really need much; big numbers and high levels are what matters.

    Swordcross Island

Heres how it will work, i have an idea combining our ideas: A new contenan, called Alrevian will be put in. It will have diverse terain, and the towns i put on. To get to it, take a boat from Port Sarim to Stronghein. You can take boats from Stronghein to Hilt, and you can be teled/boated to Swordcross (whichever you want.), the new pvp area!

    Swordcross Island

The thing is, i suggested somthing on the main forums of rs (i used to be mem) simaller to yours. But i had towns, and quests on it aswell. It had a pvp area.

    Meet The Scapers

Runescape name: Bren the Bli Role: Lord Aberham Combat level: 72 Fighting type (Mage, Ranger, etc.): I pwn at all 3... Good Armour types: Full Rune, full green dhide and full wizzy. My fighting weapons are rune scim, 2h, baxe, & long, maple longbow, and air staff. I can use the blurite sword for decoration. I use a team 49 cape. I'm f2p, so i cannot do any member stuff, although i used to be able too. I probably can get on, but theres a chance i might not be able to.
  24. bren the bli

    Swordcross Island

I support, but i have some additions: 1. It should be f2p to replace normal pking 2. In some worlds its pvp and in others its not; so you can explore it without people attacking you. Also, some pvp worlds are safe and others are dangerous. 3. In non pvp worlds have these towns on there: Kalvsvor; A dwarf town. Has 2 levels: one in the cavern one in the mountains. It also had a cave goblin population, if you have done Death to the Dorshuun. Has mines, a bone weapon shop, and a melee weapon and armor shop. Has a cart station where you can take to Keldagram or Dorgish-Kaan Antnanta; This town is populated by both elves and gnomes. Has a crystal weapon shop and a ranging shop. Can take a spirit tree to tree gnome village or a glyder to grand tree. Stronghein: A coastal human city, kind of like varok, exept smaller. Has a mage shop, and a clothes shop. Instead of teleing to Swordcross, you take a boat from hilt to here. Al Salma: A desert town much like Al Karid or Narda. Has a scimmy shop, and a desert supply shop selling knives, desert robes, desert disguise parts and waterskins. Orkishna: A ogre, goblin and troll fort. Have to fight your way in. 4. Getting there: to get there, take a boat from port sarim for free to Hilt. Then, take a boat from hilt up to Stronghein. 5. Looters guild: I think that once you leave sordcross, go to the looters guild on hilt. Talk to the NPC Morvin to get any items you killed. To buy pking the cape(s), talk to Pkmaster0036. There will be buyable ones, and one for people who have at least 500 kills. It will be black with an abyss skull on it. 6. Reseption: In the reseption will be several alters. They all restore prayer and hp, but also give bonusses: Sarodomin: Gives you 5 extra pray points. Zamorok: Gives 5 attack level boosts' Bandos: Gives 5 strength level boosts Guthix: Give 5 defence and hp level boosts Armaday: Gives 5 range defence boosts Zaros: Gives 5 magic level boosts. Also, sorry if i did too much...
