    Feel Free To Take Over

Feel Free to Take Over Please click here to find out how you can help! I need a map for Zoonock Cave I need someone to tell me which monsters to switch with turael. I need someone to tell me about Dagganoths Slayer Help Guide Written by: Infiniti Special thanks to: Thomas154321, Anubis, Luckyx777, Gillis, Scary Monkey, Cxkslei, Sparhawke, z0mg h4xz0rz him pl0x, Simple013, Evolution, Ajay_was_here, Raz, Massao, Emanick1, Hawk and Sal's Realm! Slayer is one of the strangest skills of Runescape because it is actually two skills mixed together: fighting and slayer. Slayer is all about killing monsters. Slayer is like fighting, but with greater rewards and more fun. Slayer is one of the best ways in Runescape to make money too! Even when you are still new at it, you can make yourself really strong. Slayer is designed for multiple levels so nearly anybody can train it but beware. Slayer is P2P only. Contents (adding more as I go) Getting StartedRecommendations/Requirements Helpful Quests/Mini-Quests Slayer MastersTurael Mazchna Vannaka Chaeldar Duradel [*]Road to 99 Slayer Slayer Cape [*]Slayer Tasks Turael's TasksWhat to switch Mazchna's TasksWhat to switch Vannaka's TasksWhat to switch Chaeldar's TasksWhat to switch Duradel's TasksWhat to switch Information on Tasks [*]Tips [*]Questions and Answers [*]Tasks Index Getting Started This skill isn't the easiest to train, but it isn't the hardest either. To start training, you must speak to one of the slayer masters in runescape. They will give you a task, a mission to accomplish. Your assignment will be to kill a certain amount (ranging from just 10 to over 220!) of a certain type of monster. You will get slayer experience when you finish killing the monster (you will also get attack, strength or defense experience of course). Depending on the monster, you will get different amounts of experience. If you do not do all of the killing, the experience will be divided in half. Once you are finished you will go back to your slayer master to receive a new task. Recommendations/Requirements First of all, Slayer is a member-only skill. Slayer is all to do with fighting, so you need to have your combat levels as high as you can even thought you can start it at level 3. Unless your task is very easy and you are sure of winning it without a problem, do not bring more than 3 valuable items (1 weapon and 2 pieces of armor). Bring lots of food with you. Another useful thing, but not compulsory is to be able to teleport, as you will need to travel around Runescape to get to the right kind of monster and also if you are about to die, so that you can escape in time. An agility level is also useful to get through shortcuts. Bones to peaches is also good for turning bones to health (if the monster drops bones). Finally, if you are going to fight a slayer monster, you will have to bring the right equipment so that you do not die. To summarize all this, here is what you need: Membership Not too low combat level If the task is dangerous only bring 3 valuable items Lots of food Lots of money The right type of equipment for different monsters High agility level. Bones to peaches spell Ability to teleport (complementary) Fairy Rings Ancient Magicks House Teleport Lunar Magics A black mask is a unique helm is one of the most useful tools a Slayer has. It increases your Attack and Strength by 15% each while killing monsters assigned to you during a Slayer task. It has up to 10 charges which decrease a monster's defense when activated. The Attack/Strength bonus takes effect at all times, even at 0 charges. It is obtained by killing Cave Horrors after completing the Cabin Fever quest. To kill Cave Horrors, you must have 58 Slayer and a Witchwood Icon. The Dwarf Cannon is useful for multi-combat tasks such as Dagannoths, Kalphites, and Black Demons. It is also useful for Troll assignments, as it will hit multiple Trolls if you are in a safe spot. The ammo is expensive, but it speeds up tasks and will get you experience much faster. The Fighter Torso is special plate armor from the Barbarian Assault minigame. It takes quite some time to obtain, but is useful due to it's unique stats; it is the only plate armor that gives a strength bonus. Guthan's Armor: This Barrows armor is extremely useful for its high defensive statistics as well as it's healing special ability. Its weapon is not very accurate or fast, so it is often used only to prolong the amount of time you can spend in an area slaying, thus minimizing bank trips for food. It is used in conjunction with other weapons and armor, such as the Fighter Torso, Abbyssal Whip, and Dragon Scimitar. Here is the list of other items also useful for slayer: Ring of Charos Ring of Dueling Games Necklace Amulet of Glory Black Mask Dwarven Multi-Cannon Fighter Torso Guthan's armor Helpful Quests/Mini-Quests There are only four helpful quests in runescape at the moment which will give you slayer experience. Wanted! - 5000xp Royal Trouble - 5000xp Animal Magnetism - 1000xp Recipe for Disaster - 1000xp There are also a couple of mini-quests: Tarn's Lair - 5000 exp (will add link once it's published). Shadow Sword - 2000 exp Slayer Masters The slayer masters are the cores of slayer. There are 5 of them scattered around for you in Runescape: Turael, Mazchna, Vannaka, Chaeldar and Duradel. Each one of them give out different tasks, some harder, some easier. Read this guide to find out which one is best for you. Talk to them to start a new assignment. They will also sell you items such as the enchanted gem. Turael: Level requirements: None! Difficulty: Very easy Requirements to get to place: None! Place: A small house in Burthorpe, north of Taverly. Getting There: 1. Games necklace teleport - Turael 2. Falador - Turael 3. Player-owned-house - Turael Mazchna: Level requirements: Level 20 combat Difficulty: Easy Place: On a bridge northeast of Canifis. Requirements to get to place: Priest in Peril Quest Getting There: 1. Karryll teleport - Mazchna 2. Varrock - Mazchna 3. Ectofuncus/Port Phasmatys - Mazchna 4. Fairy Ring CKS - Mazchna Vannaka: Level requirements: level 40 combat Difficulty: Medium Requirements to get to place: None! Place: In Edgeville Dungeon, right near the wilderness gate. Getting There: To Edgeville Dungeon: It has two entrances. 1. Glory Teleport Edgeville - Edgeville Dungeon 2. Varrock - Edgeville Dungeon (requires brass key) 3. Fairy Ring DKR (east of Edgeville) - Edgeville Dungeon Of course you can also walk there to one of the two ladders from anywhere. To Vannaka: 1. Edgeville Entrance - Vannaka 2. Varrock Entrance - Vannaka Chaeldar: Level requirements: 70 Difficulty: Hard Requirements to get to place: Lost City Quest, a dramen staff Place: The Queen's room in Zanaris Getting There: To get to Zanaris you can either enter the shed in Lumbridge Swamp or teleport there using fairy rings. You will need to be wielding a Dramen Staff to get in. To Shed in Lumbridge Swamp: 1. Lumbridge - Shed in Lumbridge Swamp To Chaeldar: 1. Shed in Lumbridge Swamp - Chaeldar 2. Fairy Ring Teleport - Chaeldar (must have started fairy tale part 2) Duradel: Level requirements: level 100 combat and level 50 slayer Difficulty: Very hard Requirements to get to place: Shilo Village Quest Place: A small house above the fishing store in Shilo Village Getting There: If you are using route 2 or 3, you might want to bring some anti-poison potions and some food as there are poisonous creatures out there. But as you should be over level 100 combat, you should not need any. 1. Cart from Brimhaven - Duradel 2. Fairy Ring Teleport - Duradel 3. Gnome Glider - Duradel Training Slayer Slayer, unlike all other skills, does not have a straight route to 99 Slayer. You will need a high level combat because otherwise you will train way too slowly. It is possible to get to level 99 with tasks from Turael but it would take years! It is a magnificent feat to accomplish and will take a very long time. However, there is a route for training it. Here is what you need to do to train slayer for people under level 40 combat. Level 1 - Level 99: Train with Mazchna if you have complete Priest in Peril or Level 1 - Level 99: Train with Turael if you have not completed Priest in Peril Here is what you need to do to train slayer for people under level 70 combat. Level 1 - Level 99: Train with Vannaka Here is what you need to do to train slayer for people under level 70 Level 1 - Level 99: Train with Chaeldar if you have completed Lost City or Level 1 - Level 99: Train with Vannaka if you have not completed Lost City Here is what you need to do to train slayer for people level 100 or over Level 1 - Level 50: Train with Chaeldar if you have completed Lost City Level 50 - Level 99: Train with Duradel if you have completed Shilo Village If the task you received from a slayer master is too hard for you, you can exchange it by talking to Turael. There is a list of the tasks you should accept/decline at the place with the information on the tasks. Note that you can only switch the monster if it it's not one that Turael can give. Slayer Cape Once you reach level 99 slayer, you have the option to buy a slayer skill cape! You can buy it for 99k from Duradel in Shilo Village. Slayer Tasks The four slayer masters give different creatures for you to kill. However, they do not usually tell you where to find them! Here, I have added a few spots for every single slayer monster (if you get one that's not on here, there must have been a slayer update) and all the information you need about them including where they are, what you should bring to fight them and what level they are. Note that if your monster is too hard, you can talk to Turael in Burthrope to get a nice new easy one. *For Sal: all the monsters in the list below will link to the monster's "information sheet".* Turael's Tasks Turael is the master who gives the easiest tasks. Here is a list of all the monsters he can give you in an assignments: Banshees Bats Bears Birds Cave Bugs Cave Crawlers Cave Slimes Cows Crawling Hands Desert Lizards Dogs Dwarves Ghosts Goblins Kalphites Monkeys Moss Giants Rats Scorpions Skeletons Wolves Zombies What to decline Since Turael is the one who exchanges the tasks, you cannot trade his tasks.
