  1. Yeah, I played the England campaign and conquered the whole world. There are no cardinals and no pope, but the damn Papal States still exist. In my Holy Roman Empire save I just became friends with the Papal States, but I've surrounded Rome with assassins in case I get excommunicated and need a new pope elected. Luckily about 1/2 of the cardinals are mine so I'm pretty much guaranteed a friendly pope.

  2. Wow look, it's Helm Lardar complaining about a game and suggesting ways to fix it. What a surprise.

Gathering experience can take a while and thus can necessitate grinders (not an issue to me, grinders are a decent part of the game and just hunting generally gets you enough for level 30).

Don't know what your problem is. The recent changes to enchanting has made getting to max level much faster and easier. It doesn't take long at all. In fact, the biggest trouble I have with enchanting is taking the time to get all the bookcases needed to enchant at max level.

    • Enchantments are entirely random, with no way to choose which you want.
    • Some enchantments are considerably worse than others but are just as likely to get.

And I quote Jeb on this:

First of all, the randomness of enchanting is here to stay. You will not be allowed to pick and chose your enchantments. This is to maintain Notch's "gambling" vision for enchantments, and I'm going to try to keep it that way.

Experience cannot be stored, and it is thus dangerous to walk around as a high level (not too much of an issue, but not ideal).

The only people who will have this problem is someone who dies a lot. Once you get any type of armour and a weapon it's practically a non-issue. And again, armour and a weapon would be faster to get than the bookcases required for enchanting.

Another issue with the game is that navigation isn't what it might be. You have a compass pointing to where you originally spawned and you have a map, but if you go too far out it's going to be very difficult to find your way back. A little like real life, but there is a solution: f3 gets you co-ordinates. Why don't we put them in game and solve enchanting too?

It's why people have a memory. Because that's too much of an issue for some, there's the ability to make more maps. Problem solved.

And then for your suggestion on fixing it, I post once again:

First of all, the randomness of enchanting is here to stay. You will not be allowed to pick and chose your enchantments. This is to maintain Notch's "gambling" vision for enchantments, and I'm going to try to keep it that way.
  3. My Religious Education teacher showed us this. I'm not going to watch it again, but iirc he believes that Christianity isn't a religion.
    It isn't. It's a lifestyle.
