He was planning to at the start of the weekend but he's been rather busy for the last couple days. I would say this isn't likely to start until maybe tomorrow.

Evidently things around here go even slower than they used to.

Name: Henry Cole Age: 32 Gender: Male Appearance: Cole is 6'10" with a muscular frame. He has light brown hair and brown eyes. Rank: Corporal Unit: 1st Platoon Role: Heavy Infantry Weapons: Hailmaker, Daisy. Mech Loudout: Not Mech Platoon. General Information: Henry Cole exited the helldiver training program two years ago and was shuffled into the ghosts who had a couple weeks of rec time. His first mission with the unit was the Battle of Typhera where he quickly proved himself capable of living through some of the worst fighting the unit would encounter. Following Typhera he took part in actions at Nortal, Hurst, Porkath, Aquila, Hundur, Slamet and Mynerva. At Mynerva he was one of the thirteen members who survived the final assault on the Tek Control Nexus which ended up winning the fight for the Imperium. Other: To anyone reading cole's history note that I gave this character to Erebus while this was in development so he could be one of the people already in the unit. Unless you've been told otherwise Erebus wants to make it clear that you are new recruits fresh out of training. Your guys might have been crack marines before they entered the Helldvier project but now they're just new meat.

As Turmek reached a row of low hedges behind the main building he crouched low as he waited for the rest of the rangers to catch up. "Alright... So what's the plan now?" He whispered to the ranger next to him.

2012 2010 saw a series of leaps for human kind. A new reform movement calling itself the United Earth Progression Movement saw global conflict all but eradicated as countries across the world began cooperating at a scale previously thought impossible. Cancer had been eradicated, the Flu exterminated, Malaria was turned into a thought of the past and numerous other diseases were shut away as numerous vaccines and cures were found and utilized by governments across the globe. A new type of solar cell was developed that collected 99.5% of the sun's energy and converted it into usable energy. Petroleum production worldwide declines massively as solar power becomes the most cost effective power source. 2011 saw the largest meteor storm in history. While many of the meteors struck areas of Antarctica and areas in the arctic circle. This however led to a further decrease in the world's ice caps and a global temperature rise. As the temperatures rose a number of rebel groups seized power in countries around the world as the rich-poor divide expands and conditions in urban areas deteriorated. These countries soon resign from the 'oppressive' United Earth Progression Movement and set out on their own some of them succumbing to local hot zones. A series of "Hot Zones" sprung up across the planet as an unknown pathogen struck that after a few hours of incubation turned them into zombies before the airborne version of the virus died out in a few days and the only way for the virus to spread was through direct injection usually in the form of bites. Large numbers of the worlds animals began evolving at an unheard of rate to the point where few of the former species of the world were even recognizable, the only species that remained mostly unchanged were dogs and some other animals that depended on humans for survival and a few others that lived in areas where the climate hadn't changed much. Many of the mutated species have become abnormally violent attacking just about anything they encountered. 2012: As the world began falling apart the UEPM dissipated and a new force moved in The United Earth Reclamation Force or UERF became the new leader in global affairs. The UERF began major operations to save the planet and started by establishing a series of Safe zones where humanity could retreat to. The military of surviving nations willing to help was mobilized to help get people to safety the largest and most important missions being those into the "Hot zones" which had been renamed by most people as Zombie Zones or ZZs. You as the roleplayer will be a member of a UERF strike force sent to the largest of the Zombie Zones. There also can be certain people living in the ZZs. Map (Warning it stretches) Blue are safe zones and Red are ZZs. The darker the red the worse off that area is. OOC: Bryon has two swords?? OOC: Yeah, dual swords, like katanas. OOC: Oh ok. The app I looked at was the earlier one that didn't have swords on it. Anyways no time for a IC at the moment I might post later. OOC: Oh sorry, if you don't like it I can remove it. It's cool. What I meant by the app I was looking at was when you mentioned the swords I looked at an early version of your app. The swords just confused me for a few minutes. IC: "Hell no! You keep your little pig stickers." Henry said jamming the butt of his rifle into the jaw of a zombie causing it to flip backwards over the rail and plummet to the ground below. Quickly checking over the rail to make sure the impact had killed the zombie Henry took aim at the last zombie he could see scampering up the crane's supports and he took careful aim before letting loose a quick burst which caught the zombie in the chest and legs knocking it off the support and send it to fall to its death. Carefully looking at what supports he could still see Henry didn't spot any more zombies on his side and holding down the talk button on his radio he started talking. "Captain, this is Cole. My side of the crane appears clear. I'll remain over here unless you need support." "Roger that Cole we've almost wrapped things up here. Remain where you are and watch for more hostiles." O'Reilly's responded a few seconds after Henry finished his message and Henry rested his rifle on the railing as he slowly scanned the area for more zombies.

Active again? Did I have a character?

OOC: Oh and if anyone notices apps that I missed adding onto the front page let me know. And I added some more NPCs that will be inserted in due time. And School's out. IC: As Henry reached the far side of the platform, his ears still bleeding from the screeching zombie he found more zombies already halfway of up the supports, their long arms and legs scampering up the supports as they rushed for the platform. Resting his SCAR on the railing of the platform and opened fire in short three round bursts and as the first couple zombies began to fall the others began scrambling up faster trying to reach the platform before they were hit and Henry was only able to knock another one off before they were reaching the platform. Slamming the butt of his rifle into the face of the first zombie to reach the platform Henry knocked it lose and turned ready to rush for the other support where a group of three zombies were clambering on the platform. As he turned however Heather dropped from where she had been on top of the control room, he two MP7s out and blazing as she methodically cut through the cluster of zombies trying to get on top. "Jesus Cole, I thought you were actually good at shooting things." Heather said with a wink before moving around to another side of the platform leaving Henry to continue picking off the few zombies still left of his side of the platform.

It's the last week of school so I can't post much. I might have more time once school ends.

"Alright team move out." O'reilly said after everyone was on the ground and he started moving towards the crane. Henry followed at a slow trot watching the buildings around the construction zone carefully. He was glad the construction zone was mostly just a wide flat area with a few unfinished buildings frames here and there. It provided a large amount of open space for them to spot any zombies that decided to investigate their group and it was fairly easy to travel over. As Henry reached the base of the crane he looked up at the platform well above his head searching for some sign of a ladder. "Captain over here." Lieutenant Schultz called to O'reilly but Henry looked anyways to see hims tanding at the base of one of the supporting beams which had a ladder on the side. "Good work Lieutenant. Alright everyone we're going up. Cole and Schultz you're up first everyone fall in behind them and don't slip." O'reilly barked in his usual authoritatrian tone and Henry jogged over to the Ladder to start climbing up behind Schultz. The climb was long and twice they had to walk along catwalks to get to the next ladder but when they reached the top they were realized to find the main platform devoid of zombie life. "Looks like we're the only living things up here." Henry said as he wandered around the platform. "Out here maybe. Check the control house that's where we'll probably sleep so check to make sure that's clear." Schultz said gesturing towards the door of the large control house. "Yes sir." Henry replied walking over and opening the door. Quickly scanning the room didn't see anything so he started walking around the quiet controls and checking the few side rooms which were mostly empty. "Nothing here Lieutenant. We're good to set up camp." Henry said as he dropped his pack next to one of the control panels and sat down in an operators chair. "Copy that." Schultz said with a rare smile and the Lieutenant leaned over the railing to shout down to O'reilly. "We're All good up here Captain. From the looks of things this place will do. Have everyone come up and get settled."

I just came into this thread, started reading the last page and burst out laughing. I play COD4 with friends on occasion now and I play MW2 every once in awhile when we want a different set of perks and suck. That being said I don't ever play online anymore as I just got sick of people complaining in all the time. And Honestly if people get riled up about a person staring through a scope for more than a couple seconds I have to wonder what is coming to the gaming community of the world. Snipers in all games are meant to stare through the scope searching for a target. The whole no-scoping fad in COD is just ridiculous; sure it's awesome and fun to do but that's not sniping. Honestly the community for MW2 and COD4 I think is now its biggest detriment. I mean people complain about every little thing that they get killed by. Martydom? That was a useful perk and it made people have to pay attention and always be ready to sprint away from someone they killed. Yet loads of people complained about it and well it's gone now. Same with Juggernaut, I mean seriously that was a defense against everyone using stopping power it was great and it didn't give an unreasonable boost to health. The massive hating of grenade launchers is something I didn't understand either. At least not when compared to the RPG which was even more devastating in the right hands and often takes absolutely no skill to make amazing shots just due to the RPGs random nature. Grenade launchers were just long range version with a weaker explosion and a straighter flight path. Sure they could hit you across the map but that takes skill when you take into account their drop which is harder to aim than bullets until you're used to them. I could go on about more things as well, M16s, Rushers, Campers, Helicopters, Flash bangs, Frags and so many others. I'm almost surprised that people haven't started complaining about bullets killing people and that only you should be allowed to kill anyone. It's like people have lost the whole idea of what a game is about. Playing it for what it is and having fun doing it. Instead they're all wrapped up in K/Ds, achievements and killstreaks and not in the enjoyment of playing the game. If something kills you that's the game and life, there's nothing you can do about it. You can be a god at a game and still die. Making up excuses that other players suck because they use certain play styles is in my mind a clear indication that the person making up such accusations isn't having fun and should find another game they might actually enjoy to play. Just thought I might share my two cents about what I think of the game these days. Comes off as a bit more of a rant than I intended but my point is still there. People need to relax a little and get used to being killed in this sort of game and to also see the useful side of things.

For the last couple days I've noticed a fair number of topics don't have pages but instead have a list of posts at the bottom which you have to click individually to view. This is really annoying as I don't enjoy having to click each post and then scroll back up to read it. It would be greatly appreciated if someone knows of a way to disable this feature. It looks like this.
-
And if that didn't fix the problem? About half the topics are like that and the other half are normal.
-
OOC: For some reason this topic and a number of other topics are appearing as a list and I have to individually click on each message to view it. Anyone know what's up with that? It's really annoying for me. Um... The RAF is disbanded. It's part of the UERF Air Force now... IC: Realizing he was now somewhat out of the conversation with the arrival of Naomi and the others Henry looked over towards Captain O'Reilly who was talking quietly to Lieutenant Schultz. After a moment a quick discussion the Captain raised his head and addressed the team. "Alright everyone we're making for the crane. The path there is clear but I want people watching the buildings around the construction zone. We don't need any surprises. Now move out!" O'Reilly said and he started jogging towards the crane and Henry and the rest of the team began falling in behind him. OOC: Just so we're clear the construction zone is just a large expanse of dirt, some building frames and a giant crane which is in the middle of the zone and is rather large for a crane. Think of the large cranes you see at harbours but even larger and with a large platform area mid way up.

Maybe have another guitar emote but your character does the windmill. Like an extreme version of the regular one. The req songs could then be movable and then it would just be those with a lot of songs that get the better version.

So that's a mudkip... I heard you like mudkipz...

As O'Flinn came to stand next to him Henry turned to look at the sniper. He surveyed him for a moment trying to judge what he could from him but there wasn't much he could tell. He never had been good at profiling people and O'flinn wasn't any easier to read than most people. After a moment however Henry decided to start at least some idle chit chat to pass the time until the team was all on the ground and ready to go. "That was some pretty nice shooting earlier. I gotta say though I envy you snipers a little bit. I failed my marksman test twice. And each time I just barely failed. My first run I only missed out by one target. One target and I would probably be carrying around one of those rifles. Instead I'm just the go to guy if we don't have a sniper because he got killed or because there just aren't any around. But I can't really complain. I wouldn't get to blow as much stuff up as a sniper and I like blowing shizzle up so it all works." Henry said laughing slightly at the last bit

As Henry reached the roof he instinctively ducked as the A-10s skimmed by overhead. "Who called in an airstrike?" Henry muttered as he watched them fly towards central Hamburg. "Probably one of the other squads." Bran said arriving on the roof behind Henry as the distant booms of bombs could be heard. "It was Alpha Four." Captain O'Reilly said walking over. "They ran into trouble around a hospital and called in air support awhile ago." Henry shuddered at the thought of having to go through a hospital and turned to look back down the stairs at Lieutenant Schultz. "Danm rats nearly got me." Schultz said as he emerged into the sunlight. "If it wasn't for your warning I would be quickly turning into a zombie." Nodding to Henry the Lieutenant smiled as they shut the door behind them. "Captain! This is Lieutenant Sant! Something just grabbed Joseph! It was huge! We need to get out of here." Rebecca Sant's panicked voice suddenly came over the radio. "I think it was a rat but I can't be sure it was too big to be a normal one. I'm heading out to the street. I'll meet you down there." "Are you sure Joseph is dead Lieutenant?" O'reilly asked through the radio. "I'm sure the thing tore off his head." Rebecca said. "I'm just getting out of here." "Alright everyone you just heard that. This building is not safe. I want everyone off the roof immediately Get your gear and lets move. We'll have to rappel our way off. I don't want anyone entering the building now that we have giant rats dragging people off. We'll find a secondary site for our base camp once we're all safe." O'reilly said into the radio as he ran back to where most of the squad had dropped their gear. "Um sir. If I may. There's an industrial crane in the middle of that construction zone there. The main platform looks easily big enough for our needs and I don't think rats can climb ladders or climb metal beams." Henry said catching up to O'reilly and pointing out the crane. "Good eye Cole I think that will work perfectly." O'reilly said as he grabbed his radio again. "Alright everyone the plan is to get to the crane in the construction zone across the street. Once we'll all safe on the primary platform we'll set up a camp." Grabbing his pack and the pack that had been Joseph's Henry jogged to the edge of the building and looked down at the four story drop. Next to him Bran quickly set up a rappel line and Henry quickly hooked himself up before descending. Once on the ground Henry waited for the others to get down from the roof before they started heading into the construction zone. "

Not to ruin the entertainment but an airsoft gun killing zombies? I don't think so. An airsoft gun isn't nearly strong enough to kill a zombie or seriously hurt it for that matter. The best it could do is blind them if you manage to land a set of perfect shots in the eyes which would be a miracle at anything other than point blank range and even then the zombie is still alive and coming towards you. Anyways I'll hopefully make an IC later I just don't have the time at the moment. Byahh you're accepted.
-
Then you deal with it or take your complaining somewhere else. IC: Reaching the door near the end of the roof Henry opened the door and proceeded down the stairwell to find Schultz at the bottom looking down the hallway. "Any sign of movement lieutenant?" Henry asked coming up behind him. "Nope, haven't seen a thing but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. How bout you and Bran head down that way and check the room. Sanderson and I will go this way. Once we're sure all the rooms along this hallways are clear we'll move into the storage room at the end of the hallway." Lieutenant Schultz said pointing to his left and then right. "Yes sir." Henry said and signaling Bran forward as he started down the hallway. As he neared the first door Henry put his FN SCAR on his back and pulled out his shotgun as he quickly opened the first door. Quickly sweeping the room the only thing he spotted were office related and he turned to leave. "Clear." He called and across the hallway Bran emerged from his room. "Same, nothing in there but old books." Bran said shrugging as they moved on down the hallway. As they moved down the hallway they cleared two more sets of rooms before they reached the last pair and Henry entered his door casually and entered the room with his shotgun ready. As he entered he caught a sign of movement out of the corner of his eye and turned and saw the face of a small rodent as it leaped towards him. Swearing henry shot his hand upwards grabbing the rodent in midair and slamming it against the wall before it could bite him. As he dropped the now lifeless rat like thing he looked around the room and saw a few more all starting towards him. Raising his shotgun Henry fired at a cluster of them as he quickly exited the room and shut the door behind him. Once the door was shut he turned and shouted down the hallway. "Lieutenant! We've got zombie rats in here!" He yelled before grabbing his radio. "Captain this is Cole. We've encountered rats on the eastern side. I don't think this building is going to be much use to us unless we want to be zombies by morning." Henry said into the radio as he jogged back down the hallway with Bran in tow. "Roger that. Everyone fall back to the roof. We don't need anyone to get surprised by any of these rats. We'll find a secondary location once everyone is back on the roof." Captain O'Reilly said and Henry started back up the stairs to reach the roof.

Didn't you make a military application? The military apps were all for people on the strike team. IC: "So you're some big shot SEAL correct?" Bran said in a derogatory tone when Henry caught up to him at the edge of the roof. "Yeah, I was a SEAL for two years before the U.S. armed forces merged with the UERF." Henry said choosing to ignore the hostility he felt coming from Bran. "That's real sweet. You get along with your buddies well?" Bran said as he walked along the edge of the roof looking down at the canal below. "More or..." Henry's voice trailed off momentarily as he heard a few shots fired from the eastern side of the roof and he looked to see Richardson and O'flinn as they radioed in their all clear. "Damn good thing they decided to add a few snipers to this trip." Henry said slowly nodding as he saw where the zombies had been. "Anyways to answer your question. I liked some of them. My team and most of the other guys were people I got along with but there's always a few people that just don't fit and those guys pissed me off." "You ever meet a Captain Brickson?" Bran asked. "Brickson? Not in person but I know the name. Supposed to be a real dick of an officer. He's not well liked by a lot of people." Henry said and he noticed some of the Visible tension in Bran's shoulders subside. "From what I've heard he takes his position as a SEAL as a sign that he's God's great gift to the world and that pisses a lot of people off." "More or less. He was my captain for my first UERF mission..." Bran said quietly and Henry noted the slight setting of the Jaw as Bran said that and Henry decided now wouldn't be the time to ask Bran what had happened. "So, I don't think O'reilly really meant for us to search the roof... Demo traps would most likely be useless up here. We'll need to head down into the building to find out what's going on. "Yeah lets hook up with one of the teams and go through the building. We'll find a good defensible room and get things going from there." Bran said clearly much more at ease with Henry now and Henry nodded. "Lieutenant Schultz this is Specialist Cole we're coming to follow you guys into the warehouse itself." Henry said as he held down his radio before starting at a brisk trot towards the door on the eastern side where O'flinn and Richardson were stills standing. --------- Meanwhile at the radio Heather had gotten it set up and O'reilly quickly recorded a message that started playing on a loop for anyone with a radio in Hamburg to hear. "This is Captain O'reilly of the UERF Strike team Alpha Six. We are currently on mission in the warehouse district of Hamburg. If you are in need of assistance and can travel make your way towards the warehouse district. This message repeats."
