  1. I'm just gonna leave this here

    5bMVT.png

Who let you set up that much?

Moveset? Because I'm guessing Taunt would of shut this down quickly.

Curse + EQ + Waterfall + Recover with leftovers and unaware. EVS were 252 HP 252 DEF and 4 ATTK with impish nature.

I lead sylveon with defensive EVs to get a few calm minds in and then baton pass to quagsire. After that if they don't have a strong grass type it's basically gg.

    Very nice, Nagger!

Other then they actually let a Sylveon set up that many calm minds, or that they let him Baton passed.

Taunt, Swagger, or hell just hitting sylveon physically twice should have ended it. :/

  2. 'Mega evolution.' Because normal evolution wasn't enough... anyway, looking to 'pick up' a pokemon game for the mean time, just something to pass the time, maybe for my phone or whatnot.. any recommendations?

To be fair it was rumored initially to be "Awakened Form" which sounds a hell of a lot better.

  3. I joined because it had the smallest community that I was able to find on google for RuneScape.

I initially got here by searching the stupid Chicken quest (Think the place was Draynor Manor? Why do I remember these names?)

At one point Cameron threatened to ban/limit my posting (don't really remember?) on the old forums.

Old forums I had 50+ posts a day for about a week. That was ridiculous.

My first warn on the old forums was for my signature being 10 pixels too high.

For some reason I'm still listed as a Chat Moderator even though I only drop by here every few months. I might start frequenting more if the Other Games section is interesting and wouldn't mind also discussing things like Board Games, Tabletop Games, and RPG (Pen and Paper, with D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, D100 (D&D, Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, etc)).

    I "moderate" a "Pokemon League".

Dunno what else I can write.

Oh, I'm a spelling, and grammar nazi when it comes to the school magazine I run, and outside of that I don't particularly care.

I've been debating trying to get InDesign on my personal computer, or figuring out Scribus to make a "magazine" for a subreddit I frequent.

  4. It's basically been devalued by people that expect people to pay for a degree for four years, then do 3 years of unpaid internships before they can apply to a decent job. Until the job market switches from an employers market to an employees market, the cost of universities and colleges is going to rise faster than inflation while the rest of our money (wages) continues to stagnate and be worth far less than what it was in the past. It does provide a good learning experience however.

The market is way too big to judge all jobs and all new employees. Area of expertise plays a massive role.

Providing it was actually being valued. Jobs being exported to other countries purely do to cheaper labor is a problem, and the fact that they are willing to work for so little is also a problem. Most of the people that I know that graduated in Comp Sci, ended up going Indie, or working on like 10 different Open Source projects before they found anyone willing to even talk to them. Keep in mind also more people are staying and working longer than they did before so they are also preventing new slots from opening up for the youth.

  6. And of course people got fooled into this whole mess, my facebook feed over this made me depressed at how EASILY people are fooled.

"So Britain is one of the most apathetic countries in the western world: [1]http://www.oxbridgeessays.com/blog/are-britains-students-apathetic-636/ But apparently we are all now passionate central African social activists, that's great, even if Joesph Kony has been inactive since 2006 and hasn't set foot in Uganda for over 5 years, but sharing a 30 min video on fb sadly has zero positive impact on the situation in Northern Uganda, and considering the group behind it are lobbying for militarising the area and supporting the Ugandan military (the first people in the region to use child soldiers btw), actually supporting the KONY 2012 campaign is probably quite dangerous.

    [2]

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/uganda/9131469/Joseph-Kony-2012-growing-outrage-in-Uganda-over-film.html

Central Africa has been wartorn for decades, it is deeply ethnically divided and western powers have been destabilising it for their own gains for years. Solutions to global conflicts are often not actually that hard to imagine, but the situation in this part of the world is extremely difficult and dangerous and anybody wanting to be involved on any level should at least take the time to educate themselves about it:

    [3] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Congo_War

    [4] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Congo_War [5]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord's_Resistance_Army

And being involved takes more than a facebook status, the bare minimum is a donation, and better than your £££ going to a group of irresponsible militant yuppies who keep about 70% of donations for "administration costs", these are just two examples of organisations doing real, accountable work in the region:

    [6] http://www.unhcr.org.uk/ [7] http://www.amnesty.org/en/region/uganda

And after that, how about we campaign about a conflict that is actually ongoing?

  7. Can i bring to attention something that has been bothering me? Limbaugh calls this girl a a nice gal(im not arguing its right, or moral just acknowledging his action) and he is everywhere labelled as "the bad guy" but bill maher calls sarah palin a something that rymes with swat, and i heard nothing about that? I dont particularly care about weather u think its right or not because its all a matter of morals, some have them and some dont, but if one person is persecuted, why shouldnt they both?

They should both be. Rush should have been persecuted years ago, for some reason this is what is sending people over the edge. 46 advertisers dropped, two bands have asked them to refrain from using their music, and other advertisers didn't even know they were being advertised while he was on air, and requested that to be stopped. In addition he's been getting dead air lately, this is finally something good and his apology is insulting at best. I honestly hope Sandra Fluke goes ahead with a slander lawsuit and wins, because that's damn well what this was.

  8. So I'm still trying to figure out my team for the VGC (East Coast, USA, Philadelphia).

    So far it's:

Cloyster (Toxic Spikes, Rapid Spin, Surf, Icicle Spear / Ability: Shell Link w/ Leftovers)

Magnezone (Hidden Power: Fire, Flash Cannon, Substitute, Thunderbolt / Ability: Magnet Pull /w Air Balloon)

Lucario (Swords Dance, Ice Punch, Close Combat, Extreme Speed / Ability: Inner Focus) w/ Focus Sash

Gliscor (Swords Dance, Ice Fang, Earthquake, Facade / Ability: Poison Heal) w/ Toxic Orb

Chansey (Protect, Wish, Seismic Toss, Toxic / Ability: Natural Cure) w/ Eviolite

Haxorus (Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Brick Break / Ability: Mold Breaker) w/ Choice Scarf

Problem is this team has a massive weakness to fighting (Chansey, Magnezone, Lucario, Cloyster).

Still trying to figure something else out.

  9. For $1000, I think it's a piece of shizzle. That said, if you're unwilling or unable to build custom, you can buy the following.

    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16883155334

    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814150523

    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817139027

It's a basic desktop; you can upgrade the graphics card for gaming but you'd need a power supply to do so. That's where the Corsair CX500 V2 comes in; it's as easy as unplugging the old power supply, replacing it with the new power supply, and plugging everything back in (24-pin ATX, 4-pin ATX, and two SATA). Then, you install that graphics card (you'll need to move the wireless card to another slot).

I'd be willing to build one from scratch if I could find a guide that isn't from 2008 or older.

At least that's what I'm getting for the first 9 pages on Google.

  10. And honestly working with a limited budget. Closer I can keep it to $1,000 the better. Even less, better.

Currently went through ibuypower.com a handful of time and this is what I got as my most reasonable price so far:

    Gamer Mage D245

Xion Echo Gaming Case (Mid-tower Case)

    Harmony SRS Sound Reduction System

    AMD FX-4100 CPU

Liquid CPU Cooling System - ARC Dual Silent High Performance Fan Upgrade (Push-flow)

    4GB DDR3-1600 Memory Module

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6450 - 1 GB

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 - AMD 970

Power Supply: 450 Watt - Standard

    2 TB Hard Drive

    Optical Drive: 24x Dual Format/Double Layer DVD+R/+RW + CD-R/RW Drive

Flash Media Reader: 12-in-1 Internal Flash Media Card Reader/Writer

NZXT Bunker 5.25" USB Locking Device 4x Ports

Sound Card: 3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard

Network Card: Onboard LAN Network (GB or 10/100)

    Monitor: 22" LED 1920x1080 -- ASUS VS228H-P (21.5 Viewable)

Speaker System: iBUYPOWER 2.1 Channel Stereo Super Bass Subwoofer Speaker System

Wireless Network Adapter: LINKSYS AE1000 802.11n Dual-Band Wireless USB Adapter

Surge Suppressor - APC Surge Arrest

Would this actually be a decent desktop since right now I'll be honest, I don't understand what half of this means at the moment.

And by decent able to play the majority of current games on a PC (various MMO's, Skyrim, etc)

I need at least 5 USB ports as far as I can tell (headset, mouse, keyboard, monitor, gamepad) seeing as I'm using a desktop back from 2001 for my reference's, it's probably not the best bet.

Would I be able to build a decent system cheaper than the $1,070 this would cost me.

    :/

  11. Wondering if this is possible since all I see on my search is AUTO-FORWARD ALL THE EMAILS!.

I want to create a list of "trusted" email addresses, so that when I get emails from them in one email they are automatically forwarded to another (From a Gmail to a Verizon account), so I can ignore the 70+ Spam messages I'm getting a day that Google isn't detecting and since it's putting half my legitimate emails in the spam folder I am not happy.

So is this possible or no go?

  12. I don't think there's any way to justify it as not being stealing without some pretty impressive mental gymnastics.

Prepare to be impressed. Go ahead, sit down.

Pirating is not stealing, all it is is file copying and sending it to other computers, 99% of which belong to other people you don't know.

That's not stealing, that's sharing. Perfectly acceptable.

So if it's not something tangible, is it not stealing? If I'm a company and I obtain proprietary information regarding a competitor's R&D project, and then I use that information to develop a product, is that not stealing?

Stealing isn't just limited to physical objects. It can be knowledge, ideas, information. If someone releases a product or artwork with the intent of selling it for a profit, they have basically entered into the agreement with the customer that their artwork can be consumed for a price. Should the hold a monopoly on that artwork or idea forever and be able to pass it on to their children? No. But for a certain amount of time, their artwork is an innovation in their field, and unless they agree to share it openly doing so is stealing.

Because holding a patent on an idea indefinitely encourages innovation? The copyright laws are not good. Also, it depends, the vast majority of my music is free through Creative Commons websites with bands encouraging sharing so they can get out more. I'll try and find a post I saw to Senator Wyden that completely questioned the patent system.

To phrase my point another way, do you think ideas have monetary value? For example, is it justifiable to sell a Harry Potter book for more money than one would sell a blank book of equal number of pages and expense to produce?

Of course ideas have value, we have a patent system in place for a reason.

So if that idea has inherent value, you are effectively partially paying for the idea itself. Therefore, if I were to make copies of Harry Potter and give them to my friends on my own paper, they wouldn't be paying for that idea. Why should I have to pay for that idea and they not? If it's illegal for me to steal the book but leave an identical but blank book (and a can of ink, for good measure tongue.png) at the store in its place, why should it not be illegal for me to share a song with everyone in the world?

And the same idea behind a patent system is the one behind it being illegal to take proprietary information from a competitor. They're both so that you can't value from the ideas of a competitor without having to do the work of the competitor. And the same idea behind that is the one behind copyright.

Them not having to pay for it is a little thing called "curtosy". It's just being nice. Even with how rarely this gets done, there's still at least one MP3 file of every song out there, that was put up for free. Also you wouldn't be replacing a book with a blank one, you'd be purchasing a book then going home and using a printing press to make 9001 copies, ready for distribution.

Also yeah that's a good point well played. Still one more point to contest, good luck.

Are you arguing with the law?

Only replying to the previous poster. The law is subjective, and can be changed. Law is not always good. See slavery, Civil Rights Movement, Women's Rights Movement, Civil War, etc So where is there a problem arguing with law?

Anon can't/won't to shizzle, all they can do is overload a server for a bit which is such a non-issue. all they do is talk and when it comes down to it they don't get anything done

As much as i hate to admit it your right, but they are good motivators, one thing they CAN do is get attention, and at this point that could be all thats needed. I was shocked at the fact that NO ONE at my school was aware of SOPA and that it didnt even have an article in a local newspaper.

This is their most beneficial game, I was especially awed by their DDOS that brought attention to the problem regarding farmers.

Please read this and see why MU isn't just some victim of the system.

On your innovation argument one only has to look at China to see what happens when you have no form of IP protection. You create a culture that sits and waits for the next big hit from their western competitors and swiftly rips it off.

To be more exact I didn't say that having copyright was a problem, I said being able to maintain a copyright indefinitely. If after 10 years it becomes Public Domain, then I don't think we would have as big of a problem.

  14. Boo, you can no longer see other member's warn logs. There goes the days when you could judge somebody by their warn log sad.pngsad.png.

I can't tell if you're serious or not. Then again I'm still struggling to recognize everyone, thanks to this breaking the way I see everything. If you honestly judged someone by their warn log, it's not a good idea since people make mistakes. Hell redmonke used to have massive amounts of warns.

    HELL fudgeING YEAH LIKE BUTTON////////

Am I the only one that doesn't mind bright skins?

No, I love them. Everyone complains about white backgrounds hurting their eyes, but it's white on black that hurts mine. Does everyone invert colors when they type something in Word too? tongue.png

I do, also on Visual Studio I use the black screen with the defaulted green text.

Also by the way the multi-quote feature is massively screwed up.
