  1. There's no wifi at my hotel so I'll try and pop in whenever I can :/

In regards to Amber, when did she last actually post? Can we get some analysis as to why Amber is pro-town if my thoughts on her could be considered taking advantage?

  2. Amber

Played an incredibly safe and repetitive game from the word go. Offered little to no insight of her own and was more than willing to go along with popular vote and regurgitate what others have said. Seems to be trying hard to say very little and avoid drawing light onto herself. I Placed this down to having been lynched Day 1 first in the last game, and so was attempting to walk on egg shells. Has been silent for the most part on Day 2. Has yet to offer any original thought or ideas. Seems to be scared of being lynched - overly so.

    Leaning Scum

    Jordo

Started day 1 off poorly. Bandwagoned hardcore on Goggie and used terribly poor reasoning (ignorance / not having read rules). Similarly, offered very little original thought and insight into the game. Was one of the two candidates for a lynch on Day 1 but was mainly saved by Kamil's stubbornness as far as I can tell. Has said nothing of substance on Day 2 and has only defended himself by claiming his votes haven't been OMGUS. Another player who seems more content to sit back and do nothing but defend themselves when prodded.

Leaning scum, less so than Amber.

That being said, I'm going to unvote. With Fake's activity increasing my argument really doesn't hold much weight for him. Remaining reserved but I'm content to focus elsewhere for a while.

  3. Also - any chance we could play and stop just requesting replacements and prods? They don't contribute much and I'm sure Reep is perfectly capable of moderating his own game!

Drawing attention to people lurking is a fairly central aspect of playing a mafia game...

Then question them, apply pressure, vote to lynch them if you feel it would help. Comment on their inactivity and tell me how this makes them suspicious. Your backseat moderating hasn't told me anything about Day 2 so far.

But, if you feel it's merely drawing attention to inactivity - then I'm calling you out for the same thing. You've provided no more to Day 2 than sk8skull as far as I can tell. You've given no opinions or insight. Is there a reason you decided to go so quiet?

Are you calling everyone else on their inactivity as a way of deflecting suspicion?

  4. I find Amber to be really obviously scum. Like, purposely playing bad. I don't know if that's a scum tactic (i.e play incredibly scummy and they'll think it's noob play?) but yeah i reckon its just some nnoooob play otherwise she is incredibly bad at being scum.

I find this post to be very contradictory, is she noob or is she scum? Or both, I suppose.

I really doubt she's purposely playing badly - like you said there's been a jester so I doubt it's purposefully a case of playing badly.

there has already been a joker, there's no telling what other crazy roles there are!

Fits the theme of chaos, I suppose. I think it's safe to say it's pointless ruling out the inclusion of more or less any role at this point.

Also - any chance we could play and stop just requesting replacements and prods? They don't contribute much and I'm sure Reep is perfectly capable of moderating his own game!

  5. Right, since I can't believe the current conversation I'm gonna just ignore it and try again.

I'm going to repeat my top 3 analysis so far:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #1: Fake:

I don't buy the 'been busy I'll do it later' bit any more. It's been constant since you joined with the occasional content-containing post. By this stage, you know you're busy, you'd let us know. To me it just seems like a way of deflecting having to get stuck in - similar to Tabt in the last game. It was a scum-tell for me then and it's the same now.

    #2: Amber:

There's not much to be said here that hasn't already been said, due to the lack of content Amber posts. You've been making a solid effort at laying low, which I originally attributed to you being lynched on Day-1 in the last game. At this point you're making too much of a point of laying low, piggy-backing on other's opinions in a way that doesn't garner you too much heat for bandwagoning.

    #3: Adam?:

Whilst I appreciate that you've been the only actual player posting much content, like I said, the fact you include yourself doesn't sit well with me. It's all well and good speculating on "what I would probably say" if you hadn't included yourself in it, but that's worthless. I called you out on it, and the response was horrifically obnoxious, followed by trying to sweep any accusation that it was an odd thing under the carpet.

Since then there's been a tiny bit of discussion:

Regarding Fake - I don't know what to make of your starting to post. On the one hand it's a relief you're actually contributing, on the other I just see you posting when you really start to take flack for it.

I was following this topic in case of being replaced and noticed Sk8's nonsense posts. However, it seems he has been contributing more than nonsense now.

I would tend to agree with you here. I stand by my view that Sk8 is just plain old goofing around. I don't really think he's put any effort in to the game and most (if not all) of what he's said has tended to just be an echo of others, more than likely to avoid grief for not playing seriously. I still think he's just playing a newby game, and as such I'm leaning towards his being town.

As for Jordo, @Fake: Looking at his posts from the beginning of the day. I'd like to hear a lengthy explanation of why Sk8 is still his number one pick. This rings alarm bells for me, purely due to the fact I'm leaning to a sk8 town alignment. His reasoning for being suspicious was defence of himself - "my vote wasn't OMGUS", which isn't helpful in any way. Apart from that he's said nothing.

Given the fact I was stalwart about lynching him Day 1 I'm still pretty suspicious of him. That being said, my top 3 still trump him as far as I'm concerned. I don't really see Jordo as an informational lynch anymore due to his lack of posting on Day 2, and naturally, we aren't out for an informational lynch anyway.

    In response to Gary Oak:

I understand that Fake has not been posting, but people (Ent, Jethraw) are being rather quick to vote when our deadline is July 14th.

I reiterate here that I don't see anything wrong with a vote. We've a few weeks left but there's nothing wrong with applying pressure to players. Votes can be cancelled, altered. I'm not advocating a rushed lynch, far from it. I'm advocating trying to squeeze information out of wherever we can get it from.

As such, for now, my vote for Fake stands.

^ Much of that was a repeat of what I've already said, but with a few extra paragraphs squeezed in, so give it a read.

My final thoughts with reflection from what's been said:

Amber has been ridiculously quiet now. With Fake promising (and sort of beginning) to play a little more, Amber is gradually becoming more conspicuous in her absence, which as I've said previously, I'm attributing to her early lynch in the last game. However, that just makes it look like she's more terrified of being lynched, which screams scum to me. Whilst my vote stands, Amber is definitely beginning to tie with Fake as far as I'm concerned.

I want to see more from Lilshu, rather than prodding others to develop their ideas, you need to begin offering your own again. I get that it can be frustrating when people don't post, but I don't think it'd be a far cry to suggest refusing to post would be a pretty safe way of hiding your own profile in the shuffle of players.

  6. When they're relevant. We could sit here all day and argue over who isn't posting and who is and throw our toys left, right and centre. But neither of us are mods, neither of us are in charge of the prods, and you sure as hell haven't made any relevant analysis on Day 2. So rather than snipey irrelevant posts, let's stop de-railing the game, post and maybe answer some of the questions that have been thrown your way?

  7. I started getting pretty frustrated with everyone, which made me lose interest in the game. I'm not wasting hours of my time when nearly half of the players are putting in minimal effort. I'd much rather sit on my porch reading.

    OK, pot.

  8. Posted enough times there Fake?

I take back everything I said about your inactivity :xd:

In fairness, I have also addressed Amber as a front-runner for me, for inactivity as you cited as well as other reasons.

As for Sk8 I've stated a few times I think it's down to general newbiness and, by and large it's a gut feeling but I can't shake that. For me Sk8 is playing a newbie townie.

  9. Fact: I've had more warnings from Morte than anyone else.

Related-Fact: Most of those warnings were attempts to seduce me.

Fact: Reading your warn log made me very uncomfortable.

Related-Fact: Forgot you were MagedYew. :P

I never let him stick it in, honest

    I Maged Yew (2k6) :ice:

  10. I'm stating that you have stronger points against both AMBER and ADAM? as opposed to FAKE which is why I found it strange that he was your NUMBER 1 and not NUMBER 2 or NUMBER 3.

Again, that's by your reckoning. Stating that they're stronger points doesn't do much for me if you don't convince me.

  11. I understand that Fake has not been posting, but people (Ent, Jethraw) are being rather quick to vote when our deadline is July 14th.

At the end of the day, we're more or less all guilty of doing absolutely nothing. This is two votes on an otherwise (and in my eyes suspiciously so) inactive player. I'm all for putting pressure on him because he is my most suspicious player at the moment. There's no sense in rushing through a lynch, but there's no need to not vote just because there's no rush.

Jethraw says if he was busy, he'd let us know. I thought he did? He said he'd be not posting much.

Unless I'm wrong he just posts saying he has been busy and will start posting and then doesn't. The occasional bigger post every few days and that's it.

    '

Then Jethraw has some much stronger points against Adam? and Amber, he votes Fake just because he hasn't been posting much

They may be stronger in your eyes, but I tried to justify Fake as my #1 suspect, doesn't it make more sense that I vote for him? :P

  12. Okay then, I'll go with the top three, seems reasonable enough:

    #1: Fake:

I don't buy the 'been busy I'll do it later' bit any more. It's been constant since you joined with the occasional content-containing post. By this stage, you know you're busy, you'd let us know. As for Lilshu's post - I must have missed your D-2 analysis before that ragepost :cute:

Does Gonzyy seem less aggressive than usual to anyone else?

    Elaborate.

    Hey :cute:

So, maybe rather than upvoting the occasional post, why not vocalise that you agree with it? (unheard of) and practice what you preach (omg!). What are your views right now? You upvoted one of Adam?'s posts - why?

As for getting things rolling a little, we have one voter so far and very little happening. That being said:

    Vote: Fake as explained above.

  13. If you think at that point who made the hammer matters a scrap then by all means - press it, unless you actually think the vote was going to be swayed to another candidate with the time remaining, but I think we both know that wasn't going to happen. Of course, we could have let time run out and gone for a no-lynch, as I'd explained that was the only chance I'd get to vote. What would Adam? have done?

I made the point that it was cheap including yourself in the analysis, which I stand by.

  14. Adam?

June 15th. Second vote that contributed to his lynch. Not much reasoning given in the actual post, instead saying that it was “that time” to start voting. Listed Kamil as being one of the scummier players prior.

Adam? claimed general scum vibes, which is very weak.

JETHRAW CAN TALK IN THIRD PERSON AND USE BIG LETTERS TOO BUT TACKING ON A DERP CLAUSE AT THE END DOESN'T MAKE YOUR SELF ANALYSIS ANY LESS REALISTIC OR DAFT

  15. I don't really see what difference that makes - everything you say about yourself should always be taken with quite a large amount of salt. Your own opinions on your gameplay are pretty irrelevant, after all.

  16. In regards to what Adam? Said: I've been on a mobile browser playing for two weeks now having been camping and visiting people up and down the country before summer so I can't actually read the time as its not in the main title as far as I can see.

I think what Shu means is Gonzyy has been making a lot less noise than in previous games, which I definitely agree with.

Whilst I agree with Adam's approach to analysing all of the votes on Kamil - something about offering analysis on your own vote seems cheap to me.

  17. I don't really know what to make of the night kill, although I guess at least it doesn't necessarily put us at a disadvantage, right?

We really do need to start hearing from Fake - been far too quiet for my liking.

I would be okay with applying pressure to sk8 I guess, I think it's mainly just a case of not playing seriously though.

  18. Then for the sake of getting the much needed lynch I'm going to hammer Kamil, purely because I'm about to step out to do my laundry and pack my bags to go cross country tomorrow and don't know if I'll get chance before then.

Kamil had ample opportunity to convince us otherwise and was slow and cumbersome in claiming. Justification for your actions was weak and you were willing to allow Day 1 to go to a no lynch, having been presented the opportunity to put Jordo at L-2, which is detrimental to the town as that's the only way I can view a no-lynch after such a cumbersome Day 1. Allowing the mafia a free nightkill then being able to sit back and laugh at us as we repeat this process is just daft.

    unvote

    Vote: Kamil
