  1. So, funny story. I saw the "runscape" app on my appstore and thought it would be interesting to search my old username - which led me to your post several years ago, regarding runescape relationships - which caused me to try and login to runescape - which was hell, by the way, considering I had to find a way to log into my old email address - and then I had to create an account on here just to be able to message you.

In short - hey, how you been? Haven't seen you since the forest!

    Pvp Forum Really Is Dead

I haven't played since like April. Pretty much failed my account and I have a lot of responsibilities. It doesn't help lacking long-term experience with pures, either. Glad nobody misses me lol :P

    Smoking Around Kids

I'm not saying that smoking near children isn't bad. I think it would be impractical to ban smoking because most decent parents leave the children's vacinity to smoke. If your kid is outside playing and you're nowhere near them, and they run back toward you while your cigarette is lit, is that grounds for an abuse charge? Just saying that wpuld be the worst "law" in ages, worse than being ticketed for going 1 mile over the speed limit.
  4. It leads to distractions in the military? You think people run missions 24/7? There's community within the military as well, lest you forget there are numerous posts all over the world. There's generals taking care of the war, politicians are not all a part of that. If you think war is an excuse to ignore the Soldiers' rights, you obviously know very little about the military culture. Please stick to reading books because this small repeal has ZERO effect on you as a civilian.
  5. I love my brothers, gay or straight, so this only makes me happy for them. Ghostfoot, the stigma of people in your unit knowing you're homosexual, and you not being able to speak freely about it, is subconscious oppression. (Even though gay jokes are common amongst service memners, one could use a small quip from a known homosexual and get him discharged/counseled... For no more than personal reasons)

    Smoking Around Kids

I'm surprised you're fighting so hard to ban smoking where children are present, like they don't have the right to walk away or, you know, move where there's no smoke. If smoking is so bad, and kids hate it when their parents smoke, the move should ve to ban tobacco, not deciding where you can smoke it. If a policeman just so happens to enter a home with a lit cigarette, he couldn't just say a lit cigarette and children present adds up to them being smoked out. Their uncle could've been visiting while mom/dad went to pick them up from wherever. If you want to ban smoking, do it, but don't just beat around the bush and make it hard on people that choose to do something legal.

*sigh*... http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/wo...0,4114949.story Surprised people haven't even heard about this yet. There ARE reasons to take precaution, yes someone WILL KILL you over a "stupid date". Inb4peoplelosefamiliesandwonderwhy

    Smoking Around Kids

Well for starters, depending on your area and how much effort has to go into lighting the cigarette and smoking it you could get done for smoking whilst driving anyway. That doesn't really bother me, because as long as your child isn't breathing it in it's not harming him and hopefully nobody else but yourself if you are driving in a car. Obviously as soon as it starts to affect other people, i'd feel a responsibility to make sure other people aren't affected by it, but that would mean even less attention on the road, depending on how much it bothers you I guess. Since I'm guessing it doesn't bother you, that last bit was kind of irrelevant anyway. If you understand the effects smoking with a child around can have but still smoke a few yards away from him, I think it's a little bit shizzle for the child. I'm not going to tell you how to run your life but if you already know the risks and and still go ahead and do it anyway it's like you're just being ignorant to that fact as well as the fact that you need not even smoke the stuff. Still, not telling you what to do, just what I see. I want to praise you for being so hygienic and washing your hands and things so as not to affect the child but if you're puffing away yards away from him that's what would cause the most damage, not handling him afterwards. I think the electronic cigarette is much more responsible and if you can deal with having it there for those times, perhaps cutting down to using just that would help not only the people around you who don't want to smoke it and yourself obviously. The whole thing about your mother doing it though, seems like an easy excuse. I know a lot of influence comes from your parents, but they are still human beings. We aren't forgetting that is hasn't been that long since people didn't know the risks of smoking. I don't think smoking that far from the baby is hurting him too much, especially because I keep it where the smoke blows away from him. I know it's unfair to him. But when I have a crying baby with noone else to help me I have to step outside and ease my mind. And I hate leaving him alone inside so I sit him out a distance away, far enough where he's not isolated but where the smoke won't reach him. And going from straight military chain-smoking to a nasty e-cig is...not pleasant. Smoking while driving is legal in my state. I usually fire up before hitting the road.

I smoke with my son a couple yards away from me, and only outside. Does that mean I should go to jail? I also smoke with the windows cracked riding down the street, son in back seat. I do it I guess because my mom did the exact same thing (except she smokes inside too). However, every time after I smoke, son or not, I wash my hands, and usually switch shirts or take a shower. I even brush my teeth. I took the time to educate myself about the dangers of smoking with children, and I have the discipline to adhere to it. However I tend to smoke after a long day of work, and maybe have a nice cold Bud Light. Also bought an electronic cigarette in case I HAVE to smoke with my son around. Having said all that, if I ever get arrested for taking a hit without leaving the premises, I will be really ticked off.

    Best Friends With Ex-girlfriend

You can...it's possible, but you would get stuck on all the old memories and probably forget why you broke up in the first place. I haven't talked to any of my exes (excluding my baby's mother) and it really helped me move on to something better. Be like Chris Brown...chuck up them deuces bruh.

    Panic Anxiety

Me being a Soldier I still find myself dealing with anxiety, specifically going out in public in uniform. I tend to think EVERYONE is watching me. But today I went out, and I realized hey, I'm human just like everyone else so of course they're gonna look at me. It really seems like now that I have that certain "feel" for myself, and much more independence, I start focusing on just staying happy instead of wondering what it would be like to be happy. I'm a *little* bit more open to people because I want to be happy, and my vision of happiness involves other people. It's just I got really tired of being fudgeing miserable so I block all the bad thoughts and replace them with good ones. Panicaway.com really helps, too. :)
  14. I honestly see conflict coming in the near-future after our withdrawal. I do not think that we'll keep such a heavy presence as now, however i've heard that some troops are being held over another six months to help train the local army. Yuanrang, that's what I think of the outcome as well. And the same could be applied to Afghanistan. [Contrary to popular belief, Soldiers are still being scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan. Anything could change of course but so far we'll be there atleast until 2013, hopefully that will be the end of it.]
  15. As reported by BBC News ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-14745907 ). One war down, one more to go.
