In this video I give a in-depth look on how to train Invention via Augmented gear at Bandos. During the video you can select where you want to wish with interactive buttons to skip to the parts you desire to watch. As with all my guides, This method requires NO FOOD at all. Tier 75/90/90 gear can be used as shown. I have trained here since I was level 27 and currently still do. I take 3 hour trips as shown above. Enjoy and if you have any comments, feel free to post. - Pires

I've recently started a new project of creating quest guides- my goal is to, over the next year or so (take into consideration upload frequency/editing time/render time/upload time etc), complete and create guides for a large majority of quests in Runescape. Here is a list of the guides that have currently completed: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S Swan Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb5bW3RJN3M T U V W Watchtower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HWnEih_ebM X Y Z

Runespan Guide Written By: Rouge_menace Special Thanks To: Linux The Runespan is s separate plane from Gielinor, in which you can siphon runic energy from the creatures found there and use it to make runes from rune essence. While the wizards from the Runecrafting Guild have been observing the Runespan for quite some time, they have only recently started to explore it. The Runespan is an excellent place to train your Runecrafting skill, providing some of the best experience in the game for it. Table of Contents 1. Requirements and Getting There 2. Wizard Finix 3. Using the Runespan 4. Yellow Wizard and Runesphere 5. Wizard Finix's Runecrafting Shop Requirements and Getting There There are no requirements to use the Runespan. There are a few ways to get to the Runespan. First, you can use the Home Teleport spell to travel to the Draynor Lodestone and walk south to the Wizards' Tower. Second, you can use the Amulet of Glory to teleport to Draynor and walk south to the Wizards' Tower. Third, you can use the Fairy Rings, entering the code D-I-S which will take you right outside the Wizards' Tower. Fourth, if you have the Wicked Hood you can use the teleport option to take you right outside of the Runespan portal in the Wizards' Tower. When you arrive at the Wizards' Tower, head up the stairs to the second floor. Here you will find the portal to the Runespan, a bank deposit box, and Wizard Finix. Since there are no items required to use the Runespan, you can deposit anything extra you are carrying into the deposit box. If you have the Wicked Hood, keep it with you as you can use it teleport out from wherever you are in the Runespan. To get into the Runespan, use the portal and select the Runespan (this is the same portal that takes you to the Runecrafting Guild). Upon arriving, you will find yourself here: Wizard Finix After entering the Runespan, you will find that Wizard Finix has traveled here as well. Talking to him provides a few options, and the "What Can I Do Here?" option allows you to take a short tutorial on the Runespan. It is highly recommended that you go ahead and take this tutorial, as it does provide you with the basic knowledge to use the Runespan. You can also ask him for some runes, and he will give you 10 of each of the runes you are able to siphon for small fee out of your reward points. Using the Runespan This section will show you how to use the Runespan, siphoning runes to gain experience and reward points. First of all, you are probably going to notice a few icons in the top left-hand corner of your screen. The first icon will tell you how many reward points you have. The second will tell you how many reward points you will gain when leaving the Runespan. The third icon will indicate which floor you are on. Hovering over this icon will cause a tool-tip to appear telling you the floor. The fourth icon will only show up when a Runesphere is active. When in the Runespan, you can siphon creatures and energy nodes to gain Runecrafting experience. To be able to do so you will need some rune essence, meaning the first thing you will want to do is collect some from the Floating essence piles. You can only ever collect 25 essence this way, and if you are somewhere under 25 it will top you back up to 25. After you have your rune essence, you will want to siphon some runes out of one of the esslings wandering around. When you siphon a creature, you will turn your rune essence into runes of that creatures type. A creature only has enough runic energy to make 10 runes, then they will die and you will also gain some rune essence (around 50). You can also chip off a creature to gain some rune essence. Chipping away at a creature will use 10 of the required runes. Chipping is the quickest way to gain rune essence, followed by siphoning from lower level creatures. After you have siphoned or chipped away at some creatures to build up a pile of rune essence, you can use the accumulated essence to siphon off of some nodes. Siphoning off an energy node will turn your essence into runes of the nodes type, but it will not provide any rune essence after the node has been used up. Siphoning from energy nodes gives better experience than siphoning from creatures. Since the Runespan is made up of several islands, to travel between them you have to use bridging points. These are indicated by platforms around the edges of the islands, and they cost runes to use. Higher leveled Runecrafters will be able to go up to the higher floors. To do so, you will need to go up the ladder found on your current floor. As you are collecting runes, you will notice that the number next to the backpack shaped icon will be going up. This is because when you leave the Runespan, all the runes you have gathered in will be handed in to the Runecrafting guild and you will gain reward points equal to that number. The more runes you gather, the more points you will be able to gain. For example, 10 air runes is equal to one point or 0.1 points per rune. Higher level runes are worth more points per rune. To leave the Runespan, you will need to find Wizard Finix or one of the wandering wizards and ask them to teleport you out. Alternatively, you can use the Wicked Hood to teleport out. Yellow Wizard and Runesphere There are a couple of distractions and diversions which are unique to the Runespan. They are the Yellow Wizard and the Runesphere. Yellow Wizard There are a few wandering wizards who teleport about the Runespan. One of these is wearing yellow robes, and you will occasionally receive a chat-box warning that he is calling out for help. If you can find him, he will require 10 of a certain kind of rune which you can either ask him about or right-click and select the "Best Rune" option. In exchange he will teach you a bit of what he has learned about the Runespan, granting a large sum of experience. You can exchange runes besides what he is looking for, but you will gain a bit more experience by handing in the required runes. If you are having trouble finding the Yellow Wizard, you can ask any of the other wandering wizards or Wizard Finix for help in finding him (The wandering wizards have a right-click "Find Wizard" option). They will point you in the right direction in the form of an arrow below your character which lasts for a short time. Runesphere Every so often a Runesphere will spawn. You will receive a chat-box warning that a Runesphere has spawned, and the Runesphere icon will appear in the top-left corner. You can then go and hunt it down. A Runesphere can have multiple layers you have to siphon off, such as a chaos layer, or an earth layer. While siphoning a Runesphere you convert your rune essence into runes (which runes you get depend on the type of layer), and you get some rune dust. Once all the layers of the Runesphere have been siphoned off, there is a core of Pure Energy left behind. You can hand in any rune dust you have acquired to gain experience, 1 rune dust being worth 10 experience. Wizard Finix's Runecrafting Shop When you talk to Wizard Finix outside of the Runespan in the Wizards' Tower, you have the option to see his shop. This is where you can then spend the reward points you gain in the Runespan. He sells a few things related to Runecrafting and the Wicked Hood. Items Tab As you can see, you can purchase a full set of Wicked Robes. Each piece (besides the hood) requires a successively higher Runecrafting level to use, with the Cape at 30, the Robe bottom at 55 and the Robe top at 80. There are also Runic staves with the mid- and high-level staves being able to be aligned to cast a spell. He also carries a Massive Pouch which requires 90 Runecrafting and can carry 18 rune essence. Esteem Tab This tab is more to show off how much you have trained in the Runespan. Each level purchased will display that levels icon on the Wicked Robes. Re-colour Tab Allows you to change the colour of any pieces of the Wicked Robe set that you currently have equipped. Gonna post this for now. I have pictures of all the creatures/nodes/bridging points, along with most of the information regarding them. However, I don't really know how to post it all up in a table so if somebody could reply with some help, that would be cool. Also, the pictures I have aren't transparent pictures of just the creature/node. I'm not really that great at image editing. They can all be found on my photobucket account, which is MrJeef69. http://s1110.photobu...nespan%20Guide/ I also plan to get a map done up of each floor in the Runespan with information regarding the bridging points, and what creatures are found on which island. Please leave a comment with any criticisms you have!

Hey guys! A few site updates have arrived. first, our Darkness of Hallowvale guide has been updated to include new info, pictures, and should be easier for players to use. Thanks to Fire Wolf737 for this much needed update! Also we have another dozen RuneScape 2007 quest guides online, from Animal Magnetism to Creature of Fenkenstrain. More are on the way! :) There's also a new poll on the main site, suggested by Heb0: "Now that Jagex has released Old School RuneScape 2007, which version of the game will you be playing?" I'd appreciate it if you would vote in our poll, as it will give me an idea of how much people enjoy the old game (and therefore how much time to put into adding old content back to the site). Thanks! :D

Howdy all, There has been an overwhelmingly positive response to bringing back the RuneScape 2007 servers, and I'm happy to see that Jagex has acted on the RuneScape community's request. As you've probably guessed, so many aspects of RuneScape have changed a lot over the past half-decade, and quests are no exception. So, I am happy to announce that we're going to be bringing back our 2007 quest guides (and quite possibly other content) to help players with this alternate version of the game! To begin, we have all of our freeplay RuneScape 2007 quest guides online now, complete with pictures and detailed walkthroughs! So, hop on over to our oldfangled RuneScape 2007 Quests section and check 'em out! More quest guides will be released regularly, so stay tuned! :D

Hey guys, so skill guides aren't my strong point but we should get this EOC stuff done. This is a very rough guide and will need lots of help and additions will be made by me and hopefully you too over the course of this guide's progress. Attack Written by: TakerMayFire (Twist of Fate) Original guide by: Skandal Special thanks to: Sobend, Hunter, Wartoc1 Attack is an important aspect of combat, as it determines how accurate your hits will be on your opponents. As your Attack level increases, you'll be able to wield stronger weapons. Table of Contents Attack types Attack classes Weapons Temporary bonuses Attack type Melee attack types involves slash, crush, and stab. Each weapon has one style of attack, a different strength, and each monster or other player has a weakness to them. For example, instead of selecting your attack style for each weapon, an abyssal whip is exclusively a slash weapon and you can choose what skill to gain experience in if you click on the combat interface (the two crossed swords to the top left of your inventory). When you use a certain weapon, you'll be able to choose where you gain experience when you cause damage to an enemy through the combat menu. You will always earn experience in Constitution. You can earn experience in attack, defense, or strength depending on what you select from the menu. Selecting "Attack, strength, and defense" will reward you shared experience in those three skills. You will also notice the Auto Retaliate button. Auto Retaliate basically tells your character what to do when you are attacked by another force. If you have this option on, then your character will instantly start fighting back. If this option is off, then your character will stand and do nothing, until you right click on the force and select the option to "Attack". Attack classes If you select the helmet icon (in the above picture), you'll see the equipment you are wearing. At the bottom of the body menu, you should find a button labeled "Show Equipment Stats". Clicking that button will pop up a box showing what you're wearing, an enlarged picture of yourself, and your stats. For now, we'll only discuss the Attack Bonuses, but you'll also see a number of other bonuses as well as stats for offhand weapons and armor. Damage decides how high damage per hit is. The base damage is the bonus in the selected attack type skill. Accuracy shows the frequency of your damage. You also have a chance of making critical hits which is shown as a percentage. The type shows the weapon's attack type. Speed displays the rate of attack. The speeds are either average, fast, or fastest. Here are the different types of attacks as well as strengths and weaknesses. Stab - a penetrating attack, common with Daggers. Effective against chainmail. Slash - a very common "swiping" attack. Effective against light armor like robes or Dragonhide. Crush - a common attack with Maces, Hammers and Mauls. It's very effective against heavy armor like platemail. Magic - often negated by armor and weapons, but can be increased with staffs. Allows you to hit harder with Magic. Ranged - Often negated by full helmets and armor. It allows you to hit harder with ranged equipment. Strength - This effects how hard you hit. Better metals will give higher strength bonuses. Weapons Stab Weapons Training Short Sword In Lumbridge, you'll come across an Attack Tutor, who will give you a free Training Short Sword. This item (like all other Training items) can't be dropped or traded to other players. Types: Training Advantage: Speed Attack Styles: Stab (Accurate) Lunge (Aggressive) Slash (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Styles: Stab Daggers The dagger is the most basic weapon in the game and is pretty fast. Its speed will give you an advantage over low Defence monsters and players. It is one handed. Types: Daggers come in all metal. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: Speed and the ability to be poisoned. Attack Styles: Stab (Accurate) Lunge (Aggressive) Slash (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Stab Short Swords The short sword is a fast weapon mainly used for stabbing. They deal a little more damage than daggers, but they're not quite as good as a Long Sword. Best to stick with Long Swords if you can afford them. 1 Handed. Types: Short swords come in all metals except for dragon. (Bronze-Rune) Advantage: Speed Attack Styles: Stab (Accurate) Lunge (Aggressive) Slash (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Long Swords Long swords are another popular weapon in the game. They too have a good compromise between speed and strength. A weapon popular with members the long sword is usually the choice of weapon to go in the wilderness while in a Members world. It is one handed. Types: Long Swords come in all metals. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: Moderate speed & Moderate strength. Attack Styles: Chop (Accurate) Slash (Aggressive) Lunge (Controlled) Block (Defensive) Hatchets Hatchets are fast but weak, as they are made for Woodcutting. They have lower bonuses than regular items or the sort. 1 Handed. Types: Hatchets come in all metals. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: High Speed, Cuts wood Attack Styles: Chop (Accurate) Hack (Aggressive) Smash (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Chop Spears Spears are rarely used in the game. The spear is both slow and weak but has all styles of attack. It is members only and is 2 handed, except for the Bone Spear. They are the only weapon classes that can be poisoned with Karambwan Poison (KP). Types: Spears come in all metals. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: All attack styles. Attack Styles: Lunge (Controlled) Swipe (Controlled) Pound (Controlled) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Lunge Slash Weapons 2-Handed Swords Questionably the most powerful weapon in RuneScape, but not the most widely used. Due to their size, you must hold a 2 Handed sword with, yes, both hands, so you cannot use a shield. Despite this, the 2 Handed sword was considered by most to be the "Best" weapon in RuneScape Classic, due to its general power. This changed when the newer RuneScape was launched, and the speed of the 2 handed sword became a problem. Always a good weapon to use when showing off your Maximum Hit, but now rather neglected otherwise. Also, when a 2-Handed Sword is equipped and the character is wearing a cape, the bottom of the cape moves back and forth. Types: 2 handed swords come in all metals, from Bronze to Dragon. Advantage: Very high damage. Attack Styles: Chop (Accurate) Slash (Aggressive) Smash (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Any, against platemail. Scimitars The scimitar is a weapon most used throughout the F2P worlds. A good compromise between speed and strength the scimitar proves to be a very popular weapon with most players. This weapon will give you an advantage over low Defence monsters and players. It is one handed. Types: Scimitars come in all metals. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: Fast speed & Moderate strength. Attack Styles: Chop (Accurate) Slash (Aggressive) Lunge (Controlled) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Slash Halberds Slow but strong, the halberd is one of the more popular weapons. Despite it being slow many players use it as it has a great advantage of being able to attack two square distances away and even over some obstacles. They are Members-Only, hard to obtain and 2 Handed. Types: Halberds come in all metals. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: High damage, Attack from 2 Squares Attack Styles: Jab (Controlled) Swipe (Aggressive) Fend (Defensive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Swipe Claws Claws are nearly the same as daggers, and they are just as fast as them. They cannot be poisoned. They are 2 Handed and Members only. You must complete theDeath Plateau Quest to make them. Types: Claws come in all metals, from Bronze to Dragon. Advantage: Speed Attack Styles: Chop (Accurate) Slash (Aggressive) Lunge (Controlled) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Slash Abyssal Whip The Abyssal Whip is most probably the best weapon in the game. The abyssal whip is both fast and strong. It is a one handed weapon and is the weapon of choice for all those who can afford it. It can be obtained by slaying Abyssal Demons. It requires 70 attack to wield and is called a whip for short. Advantage: Deals high damage and fast. Attack Styles: Flick (Accurate) Lash (Controlled) Deflect (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Slash The only real disadvantage of the Abyssal Whip is the fact that you can't train Strength with it, unless you use the "Controlled" style which also trains your other combat stats. Crush Weapons Pickaxes Pickaxes are very weak and are not considered good weapon, as they are slow and cumbersome... they are 1 handed. They're general purpose is Mining, not combat Types: Pickaxes come in all metals, except black and dragon. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: Mining, Smashing Attack Attack Styles: Spike (Accurate) Impale (Aggressive) Smash (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Impale Or Smash Maces The mace is a crushing weapon used mainly by monks or prayer beasts due to its slight prayer bonus. Rarely used because of it's low max hit, which makes them relatively cheap. This weapon is good against platemail. It is one handed. Types: Maces come in all metals. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: Slight prayer bonus & good against platemail. Attack Styles: Pound (Accurate) Pummel (Aggressive) Spike (Controlled) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Spike Battle Axes Battle axes are slow but strong. They are used commonly in the game and acts as way of dealing high damage without compromising your Defence by removing your shield. They are good against high and low Defence monsters and players because of its attack styles. 1 Handed. Types: Battle axes come in all metals. (Bronze-Dragon) Advantage: High damage without compromising Defence Attack Styles: Chop (Accurate) Hack (Aggressive) Smash (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Smash on platemail, Hack on robes and dragon hide. Warhammers These bulky weapons are newer to the runescape world. They boast a very high strength, but have quite a slow attack speed. Some think their power overcomes this disadvantage. 1 Handed. Types: Warhammers come in all metal except for dragon. (Bronze-Rune) Advantage: Very high damage. Attack Styles: Pound (Accurate) Pummel (Aggressive) Block (Defensive) Recommended Attack Style: Any, against platemail. Blackjacks & Clubs Clubs have strong smashing bonus (Bone Clubs), Blackjacks can stun. They are one handed. Bone Clubs can be found in Lost Tribe Mines, and blackjacks in The Feud Quest.
