Kemosabe Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Halo 4 is in the mail, but I won't be able to (well, I choose not to) play multiplayer/matchmaking until the 22nd. I'm thinking about getting Just Cause 2 purely because it just looks like a game you can fudge around on for ages and do nothing but still enjoy yourself. Also, Morte, how sure are you that the next Xbox is coming out next year? Wouldn't they announce it at E3 and then release it in 2014?

Look at the Wii U, announced this year and getting released this year.

You can spend over 100+ hours and STILL not even be close to getting everything done. :s There's almost 100% chance that you're going to see a Microsoft press conference about a month before E3 announcing the New Xbox, allowing the hype to rise before giving people hands on time with it, and also setting up enough time to go for a strong marketing campaign and release in the 2013 holiday season. Don't forget, the life cycle of the current gen systems has only lasted so long because people kept finding or inventing new ways to make better faster games within the system limitations. But developers have said the 360 has essentially hit it's limit this past year. With Sony gearing up for a probable PS4 launch within the next two years (and hopefully next year!), Microsoft would stand to lose millions if they tried to maintain the current gen. The irony being that people have said if Sony wanted they could hold out for another 2-4 years because the PS3 is such a powerful piece of hardware. Not that they should, because launching a year behind the 360 was such a catastrophe for them. :/ Either way, you're almost guaranteed to see an announcement before E3, hands on at E3 to get you excited, then a holiday 2013 release. And if Sony is smart, they'll do the exact same thing. And if neither announce anything, they're idiots. Also, a prototype Wii U was on the floor at E3 last year, Nintendo just promptly sat on it after that and did no marketing whatsoever, leaving some consumers confused about whether it was a new Wii accessory or an actual new console.
