Xaria 6 Posted March 31, 2007 (edited) do you have to download ifranview? and wut is it ? Ifranview is a program which you can use do to things such as cropping images :P. If you want to use it, you do have to download it, but you can just use Paint or a similar program if you don't want to. Looks pretty good <_<. You just need to crop out those extra parts. If you're using paint, press CTRL+A and then move your image further into the top left hand corner to get rid of those unnecessary parts. I Don't have any program like paint or photoshop or any other that I know of. so how do I take a screenshot now? That's odd, what type of operating system are you using? You could download Ifranveiw, or GIMP, or use Photoshop if you have that already. EDIT: And thank you to the people who commented on the guide. :/ Edited March 31, 2007 by Xaria
Atrophy 0 Posted April 4, 2007 Whenever I try to upload the underbanner I just made,(I saved as .png) it comes uplike this: What's wrong? That's when I use TinyPic. When I use ImageShack, This is what I get: Why?
Xaria 6 Posted April 4, 2007 iPixel, I'm not exactly sure why it uploaded like that, but I fiddled around with the code a bit and got to show correctly: [img=http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5089/huntercu5.png] I think maybe you accidentally clicked on something that made it smaller when you were trying to upload it. What option did you choose when you uploaded these? On tinypic you should be copying the "IMG Code:" code and on Imageshack, try copying the direct link to image option and adding "" tags to each end. If that doesn't work, here's what I did to your code to fix it: I found the direct link in there and removed everything else except for the img tags, so it would look like this: [img=http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5089/huntercu5.th.png] Then I removed the ".th" and it worked. :)

You just paste it into your post, like this: Then it turns into your image when you post the reply.

Xaria 6 Posted May 14, 2007 i have the prtsc key but its not working!!!! what should i do???? Are you on Windows? If you're on a different operating system or a laptop, there might be another print screen method. If you are on Windows: The mouse should disappear for a second when you press down the print screen button, that's how you can tell if it took the picture or not. Then open up paint and paste it in. Try that, and tell me what's happening if it doesn't work. :P

Xaria 6 Posted May 24, 2007 Okay i am comused when I take a pic using Immageshack, It take a pic of the active window which includes the paint program. all i want is the thing i made on it and nothing else?!!! When you take a picture using imageshack? Are you saying you're using QuickShot? Because if you are, it should work fine if you use the active window key combination, then it should be alright. Just double check that you're clicking the right keys. If you're taking the picture using the printscreen button, then all you need to do is crop it... Could you post an example image so I can see what's happening? It's not clear by your explanation.

Guest Frontline Posted May 31, 2007 (edited) Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting Edited May 31, 2007 by Frontline
Xaria 6 Posted May 31, 2007 Good job keldo, you got it to work. :D Just remember to crop your images before uploading them. If you crop off the unnecessary parts, I'm pretty sure that ImageShack won't resize it like it's doing now, and your picture will turn out the correct size. post-o-holic 0 Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) @post-o-holic: So are you saying ImageShack is not loading right for you? Try tinypic, it's a very good imagehosting website. ty, it has helped. but it still sais the wrong format Edited June 6, 2007 by post-o-holic
Xaria 6 Posted June 7, 2007 Okay, what's the filetype of image you want to upload :P? Tinypic can only upload jpg, gif, png, bmp, or tif. To change the filetype, go to Save As, and under the area where you type in the file name is where you can choose the filetype.
post-o-holic 0 Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) woooooooooooot! { btw that isnt a fake!} Edited June 8, 2007 by post-o-holic
Xaria 6 Posted June 8, 2007 Great, you uploaded it. But were you trying to get it that large? Also, you should save things as a .png filetype, it reduces the filesize while keeping the picture a good quality.

Xaria 6 Posted June 16, 2007 ^ It's not necessary to do the code like that: [url=http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/5913/roflraresrl9.png]http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/5913/roflraresrl9.png[/url] Just paste the address for the link: http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/5913/roflraresrl9.png Then add You should try cropping that a bit more, the white area is unnecessary and it's probably causing ImageShack to resize your picture.
