Canifis - 100% Complete

Recommended Posts

To Bulimic Pig & Knight Haleth: Thank you both very much for all your help with suggestions and spelling errors. I really appreciate it and cannot thank you enough. :)

To Ambo100: I am sorry about my assumption with you posting a map and the “Please use it” comment. I am sure it must have been difficult working with a program you have never used before. Unfortunately, the map you have created is one I will not be using. I did not plan on using a map and the map you have is quite large. Thank you for trying to help, though. :)

To Scary Monkey: I was thinking that the method of using a POH could be tied in with the Ancient Magicks way. :/ It would be something one could figure out on their own when building a portal room.

On the entrance part you need to add that you can go through the agility shortcut.. requires 65 agility potions do not work.

I found a correction, but I think it can be said both ways. I'm not sure.

(8) The General Store

The general store in Canifis is slightly different than the regular ones. It sells the basic items every general store sells, but it also sells some items that cannot usually be found in other general stores.

(10) Barkers' Haberdashery

This is the clothing store where you can buy the different color robes, boots, gloves, and hats. All items are tradeable to any f2p person and to any member. This makes them rare in f2p worlds due to their unavailability. The colors come in grey, red, yellow, blue, and purple.

I thought Mrcsupertrain was writing the guide, Damaged?

With tan hides, you can craft them into different items.

I would change it: You can craft tanned hides into different items.

Whenever you slay a monster, chances are that it will drop bones and an item. Sometimes, you may be lucky enough to find a part of the dead monster, such as a head. Sometimes when fishing, you will catch a larger version of the fish you are fishing for. If you obtained one of these items, congratulations! You have received a special item that can be mounted in your Player-Owned House Skill Hall. However, you cannot immediately mount the head/fish. You will need to take it to the Taxidermist, and for a certain price, she will stuff it for you. You can now mount it on a wall in your Skill Hall (requires a certain level) to show off to your guests.

The 'certain level' needed to make a skill hall is level 25

One small remark: On the site the slayer tower is under cities, not dungeons. Hence it is a part of Canifis. You might want to add that.

To ajay_was_here: I will add another section to the “Getting There” section and add that in. Note to Scary Monkey: I am also going to add the POH method to the “Getting There”.

To Bulimic Pig: Will fix. :P

To Damaged500: Thank you very much! That will save me some time. :doubt:

to Knight Haleth: He was only helping. :) Also, I will fix the error you have mentioned.

To Warren: Thank you, I will add that information to it’s appropriate spot.

To Simple013: I suppose I should. I will create another map and mention the road to the slayer tower.

All of you have been added to Special Thanks. Some of your corrections have not been updated yet, but so I don’t forget who helped, your names were all added.

Not true, only the gloves are tradeable to f2p.

Also change f2p to Free-to-Play, it sounds better.

Confirming the boots are untradeable to f2p.

I should just change it to free players, sounds even better. :)

Mrc, one addition as to how to get there: If you have a portal room in your house you can direct a portal to Canifis: Kharyll Teleport from your house. The one reason to mention this is the fast access to the Slayer tower and Chealdar. From anywhere in RS: Home teleport, Canifis through portal, Zanaris through Fairy Rings.

I am not sure, but:

This makes them rare in free worlds due to their unavailability, with expectation of capes.

Shouldn't that be 'exception'?

Yeah, it should be exception. But I think the sentence should be changed. There are only two types of items listed and you say that they are unavailable for F2p to get, except for capes. It should be something like:

Capes and gloves are tradable to any f2p person and to any member. This makes the colored gloves rare in free worlds due to their unavailability.

To Bulimic: Colored gloves are not that rare now...1k ea maximum

Mrc, you may want to add a not about the Allotement farming patch near the ectofunctus...Many people who havent done the Ghost ahoy quest will use canifis to go to that farming patch....

PS: This map is just to show what am i talking about

@bulimic below: lol ya :ice: "popular" is better :D

I didn't say that, I was just correcting his sentence.

Okay, I did say that. Make it say something like:

Capes and gloves are tradable to any f2p person and to any member. This makes the colored gloves popular in free worlds due to their unavailability.

Should "People" be changed to "NPC's"? I think it sounds better and I don't think Vampires are human.

For the shops, there is a period after each price for one of them, but there aren't any periods in another. Keep it consistent.

To Desireful: Thank you for the compliment. I did my best. :holiday:

To Queen Skilla: As requested, your name has been changed.

To Warren: Thank you for the correction. I will fix it and reword the sentence.

To Knight Haleth (Post #37): I agree, free players sounds better. I’m going to reword that part.

To Simple013: Yes, I know about that method. It was suggested before but I didn’t consider it. I’ve decided to add it now, so thank you.

To Knight Haleth (Post #40): I’m not sure. :)

To Bulimic Pig: I’ll fixed everything you have posted. Thank you for being a great help. About the People and NPCs, Malak can talk. He is a people. Take a look at the Zanaris City guide. There is a cow under people. If a cow is considered a people, a vampire is too. :P I will also fix my consistency errors.

To Sayf: Those farming patches should be part of the Ghost Port city guide, not this guide. Thanks anyway.

To Evolution: Thank you very much! You have saved me a great load of time. :D And I will also fix those double Malak pictures.
