I'm sure an other person has showed good behaviour on Novus, and although it's said not to be related to Sal's, it does give you a good name.

 

Considering I don't know what Novus actually is, have never been on it and couldn't find it with a map, I doubt it.

I wonder when some of you will get it that novus has nothing to do with sals, if you knew what went on there you'd know.

Allright. Please allow me to show you my opinion.

 

I've been on Novus a few times, and one of the ones who is dm on here really behaves well on there. No problem with it.

 

And I didn't say you have to go on Novus to be promoted, absolutely not.

 

But nevermind, this is just my opinion, I may have a bad look on things.

I'll answer to that, even though it is not representative of all of those with "higher" ranks than that of member. Yes, I visit #novus. As do a lot of other people. That doesn't mean #novus is a part of Sals, or even has influence in what was/is/shall be decided. What #novus does do for me is give me the possibility to vent. Not really anger, but I can ultimately say what I want, within the restrictions set by the rules of #novus. And that can be about close to any subject. Be it RS, Sals, Global Politics, god forbid Sex, Newspapers, Silly Photographs, you name it.

 

One big difference between posting here and reacting on #novus. This, or anything else I write within the confines of Sals, is to a certain extent though out. Considered if you want to use that word. It needs to be: Reactions to what anyone writes in any thread, be it in the Scape Lounge, Submissions, the Debate Room, or any other sub-forum, always is published with a delay, sometimes of over 24 hours. #novus Is instantanious. A bit like a stand-up comedian reacting to what is said.

 

For me both complement eachother. One other big difference: The tenure is somewhat more mature, I do not have to consider the fact a 10 year old needs to understand what I write. If that 10 year old is on #novus and doesn't understand: tough luck, maybe he wasn't meant to understand.

 

In all, for me, both complement each other, and my feeling is most who visit #novus think the same way. Sure, and that too has to be said, both influence each other. I wouldn't have read certain blogs if someone on #novus didn't tell me about it. I wouldn't have read certain topics on Sals if someone didn't link to it, and that list goes on. BUT, when I write something to be published in any thread, #novus has nothing to do with it: I react the same way, tough maybe a bit less spontaniously, lest I'd be too rude, even if I hadn't been on #novus.

Actually, in some small ways it does. By participating actively there, it hleps to get people to know you and helps develop friendships, which, whether or not you believe, would bias your opinion in some small way.

 

No offence Cxkslei, but it sounds like you are getting mad at the people because you feel it's taking away from your chance to become a DM. Calm down, the Dms and Mods aren't going to go "No, people feel he deserves to be one so he shouldn't be one."
