Dharoking In Pest Control

Recommended Posts

Finding typos really doesn't constitute "Special Thanks". Much less when you only found two of them.

To add to Ramon's statement...help because you want to help, not because you want a "Special Thanks" mention. :D

You forgot to add links to your guide.

Umm what links? You mean the quick links section?

For example:

So let's begin. This is one of the fastest ways to gain combat experience, especially in melee stats. This has becomed a very good and usefull guide now, but i have some tips for making it a little bit better:

Firstly, you should write exactly what you are wearing in the what-to-wear-picture, as people who have never owned those things might not now what they are. Secondly, you should add a picture or two at the instructions of attacking and defending in pc, where you hit very high or something like that. That picture you used to have in your sig where you hit 62 on a portal, is a good one for the attacking section. :aware:

because if you accidentally drop one potion too much you will die and loose your items.

You do not lose anything if you die in Pest Control. I have died before and you keep all your items you just respawn on the boat.

The boat is part of the pest control area?

EDIT: you think anyone would play Pest Control with full Dharok's if you would lose your items?

Hello, Tusse Won. I looked over your guide and found many grammar errors. I've fixed them up for you to improve your guide. Also, I saw in late June that there were some problems with who deserved special thanks. Even if someone finds one little typo, he/she still deserves special thanks. Remember that. Anyway, below are my corrections for your guide.

So let's begin. This is one of the fastest ways to gain combat experience, especially in melee stats. For this method of combat training you need a full set of Dharok's armor (Dharok's platebody, platelegs, helmet and greataxe), 70 attack, 70 strength, 70 defence and have at least done the explosive potion in Digsite quest.

Reword: This is one of the fastest ways to gain combat experience, especially in melee stats. For this method of combat training, you'll need a full set of Dharok's armor (Dharok's platebody, platelegs, helmet and greataxe), 70 attack, 70 strength, 70 defense, and have, at least, completed the explosive potion part in the Digsite quest.

The tactic is very simple, you will be carrying 24 Unidentified potions, Dragon battleaxe and 3 super attack potions. You can also replace the battleaxe with 2 super strength potions and take only 2 super attack potions. Your inventory should look like this:

Remove the comma and replace with a colon or start a new sentence.

So now we will start taking advantage out of Dharok's special ability (lower hp=higher hit) by dropping the Unidentified liquids. When you drop one, you will get hit by 25. Drop many as you can, without dying of course. For example: you have level 76 hitpoints, so you drop 3 potions. 3*25=75, so you will have 1 hp left. Drop these in the Pest control arena because if you accidentally drop one potion too much you will die and loose your items. Also perform Dragon Battleaxe special/drink super strength potion and drink super attack potion.

So now you have low hp, you're potted/"baxed" and in a Pest control game with full Dharok's.

Reword: Next, we will start taking advantage of Dharok's special ability (lower hitpoints = higher hits) by dropping the unidentified liquids. When you drop one, you will be hit by 25 damage. Drop as many potions as you can, without dying of course. For example: if you have 76 hitpoints, drop three potions. 3*25 = 75, so you'll have one hitpoint remaining. Make sure you drop the potions in the Pest Control arena, because if you accidentally drop too many potions, you will die and loose your items. Also, remember to perform the Dragon Battleaxe special or drink a dose of a super strength potion, along with drinking a dose of a super attack potion.

Now, you will have low hitpoints, a high strength, and a high attack level, ready to play in a Pest Control game with full Dharok's armor.

NOTE: you can use the rock cake from the Recipe for Disaster quest (hits 1 when you try to eat it), but if you have completed the Dwarf part you can't get it anymore.

A comma is needed after "part."

I'd suggest attacking the portals (of course behind or on the side of it, so that the monsters that come out can't attack you so easily), while using best strength and attack prayer you can. DO NOT try to kill spinners, because there are a lot of monsters around the spinners that can easily one hit you because you're on low hp, ask other players to kill them. If it happens that some of the monsters get to you, take off your boost prayers and switch to protection prayer and kill the monster that attacked you, then take protection prayer off and attack the portal again. The most dangerous part in this method is when you move from portal to portal because then there are multiple monsters that can attack you.

Reword: It is recommended that you attack the portals while using strength and attack prayers. In addition, try to stay behind or on the sides of the portals to prevent the monsters from attacking you easily. DO NOT try to kill the spinners. There are many monsters surrounding the spinners that can easily one-hit you, causing you to die because of your low hitpoints. If it happens that some of the monsters get to you, take off your boost prayers and switch to a protection prayer and the kill the monster that is attacking you. Then, take your protection prayer off, turn on the boost prayers, and attack the portal again. The most dangerous part in this method is when you move from portal to portal because then there are multiple monsters that can attack you.

This is better for experience, because you're going to kill a lot of low defence level monsters. Get to the Void knight, attack the shifters that are killing the knight. This is how they won't attack you. Of course you can kill the lower level shifters without praying. This might be more fun than attacking, because you will hit high pretty often, but they might need your help at the portals.

Reword: This method is better for experience, since you're going to be killing many low-leveled defense monsters. Get to the Void Knight and attack the shifters that are attacking the knight. The shifters will be focusing on the knight, so they will not attack you. Of course, you can kill the lower level shifters without praying. This might be more fun that attacking the portals, since you will hit high often, but other players might need your help at the portals.

Method 1:

Requirements:

Must have completed the Desert treasure quest

Level 60 magic

Rings of duelings/glory amulets

Soul and law runes

Trowel (if you haven't left the barrels open)

Reword: Rings of dueling/amulets of glory.

Also, explain what you do with the trowel if the barrels are closed.

Cast Senntisten teleport and follow this map to the barrels and use vials with the barrel with orange liquid in it:

Reword: Cast Senntisten teleport, follow this map to the barrels, and use vials with the barrel with orange liquid in it.

After that use dueling ring/glory amulet to teleport to Castle Wars/Edgeville and bank the potions then take out new vials. Repeat until you think you have enough for your needs.

NOTE: Amulet of glory might save money, but you have to have many amulets or charge them often.

Reword: After than, use a ring of dueling/amulet of glory to teleport to Castle Wars/Edgeville and bank the potions. Then, take out new empty vials and teleport back to Senntisten. Repeat this until you have enough potions to satisfy your needs.

NOTE: An amulet of glory might save time, but you'll need to have many amulets or charge them often.

Method 2:

NOTE: this method is A LOT slower than the method 1.

Requirements:

Level 25 magic.

Air/fire staff, air/fire runes and law runes.

Trowel(if you haven't left the barrels open)

"the" is not needed. Remove.

Nice guide Tusse Won, it seems like an excellent method to use in PC. I'll add this as a subsection to that guide -- I think it would make a great addition to the guide. Good work! :)
