Once you get about 55 combat a strength pure can take out a range 2h.

 

I know this thread is pretty much dead, and so is f2p pking, but anyway:

At higher str levels str pures get better and better at killing range+2h pures. After 60cb, the fight usually goes in favor of the str pure, (but the range+2h still has a good chance to win). Str pures are, however very weak versus "def noobs", something that range+2hers are very good at. So overall, I'd say range+2h is more versatile, but str pures are very strong against other pures.
