Sals Clan Community Need Support

Recommended Posts

Well,Even Though sals is a small community, but the clan communities do need some support.

We need at least a moderator,To help moderate The clan section, because everyday,The clan section is full of flame and full of flame baiters.

Not to mention,it would be good to have some moderators because they could help Pinning the important topics.

Even Though sals is small, but we do need some clan support because "clan" is a part of Runescape.

There's only one moderator who has a great experience with clans and that's Yuanrang, so sorry ^_^.

Do you mean that you'd like moderators to try to be more active in the clan boards? I'd agree with you there - that's probably something we need to work on.

As for stickying a thread, you can report the topic and explain why it should be stickied. Or you can simply PM a moderator.

We have actually talked about this extensively. I think the general consensus is that, like Cxk said, there aren't enough moderators with clan experience.

Just make sure to report what you see as flaming, that'll catch the moderator's attention very quickly.

I don't see how one section can be moderated less than others. The reports are listed in a list of reports from all sections, not by section, so surely the moderators wouldn't miss ones in certain sections - meaning every section should have just as much moderator coverage.

Not like you're doing anything to help. *cough*

We try to get around the Clan discussion boards as much as possible, though.

...and if you're thinking about stickying such threads as Finished's Sal's Clan ranking list, I'm aware of it. Hell, I've been aware of it for months, but the reason I haven't stickied it and given finished total control over it is because so many complains came rolling in about his Clan.

In fact, I believe it to be a few days ago since member of that said Clan spammed pornography in that section because they had disagreements with a different Clan.

We might possibly need more people to oversee it, but you know what, time and time again the users going there is proving that we need new users being active there. You flame, you put up this trouble, you take things way too seriously.

Unless forumers start contributing to stopping infractions down there, the area will never be clean.

Oh, and for the record... if you think that I'm going to support sectional moderators for that area and furthermore, find such individuals from people going oftenly to the Clan Events & Discussion board, then you're wrong. I'd rather resign from my own Moderating Title then giving any of you any form of power there, because so to say all of you have proven yourself inept to stay calm through-out the months.

Work on yourself first, then we wouldn't even need to send in several moderators to spend time in that area.

I agree with Jan. Whenever I check into the Clan Discussion Forum it's filled with countless mini-flame wars and people flame-baiting. It can't be cleaned up by Mods if the Members can't clean it up.

Here's a little something you can learn from RSC Clan Discussion: there will always be flaming and flame baiting in Clan areas. The only thing you can do is have Mods delete it. I think the Mods do a decent enough job with the flaming and the number of topics where there is no discussion/wars has dropped alot, so I don't see why you need "support".
