Getting Started

[#1]Head to Gossip who can be found south of the Sinclair Mansion, and speak to him. He will tell you that Anna has been arrested and King Arthur has disappeared. After this shocking information, he will also tell you to [#2]speak to the Guard who can be found just north of him.

01TalkGossip.png

The Guard will tell you that the Sinclairs have disappeared too, and you need to find a way to get into the house and get evidence that:

  • The Sinclairs have left
  • There are links between the Sinclairs and Camelot
  • There has been foul play

He would do it himself, but would lose his job for doing it, so needs your help.

Head north to the Sinclair Mansion, then to the east side just south of the Dog. You will find a window that you have the ability to break. [#3]Break this window, and you will find yourself inside the Mansion. This is how you will be getting in and out of the building for the time being.

02breakwindow.png

03scrappapertrans.gif [#4]Just north of the place you find yourself, on the floor, is some Scrap Paper that you should take as evidence for there being a link between the Sinclairs and Camelot.

03blackknighthelmtrans.gif03addressformtrans.gif [#5]Now that you have the Scrap Paper, head upstairs and into the large room in the middle of the floor. [#6]Search the Bookcases to find a Black Knight Helm for evidence that there has been foul play, and [#7]take the Address Form from the table for evidence of the Sinclairs leaving.

03searchcaseandaddress.png

[#8]Once you have all three, head back to the Guard who will take them off you, and say that it will take over a month to get this evidence to the right people. This is certainly too long, so once again super you will step in and say that you will make sure things can happen quicker. To do this, you will need to learn more about the History of the family, and Gossips are the best people to do this, so [#9]go and talk to Gossip again.

After talking to him about everything you can, [#10]head to the Courthouse in Seers' Village, and [#11]talk to Anna. She says that she may know where her family is, but will need a favor from you - somebody to prove that she was 'Not Guilty' of murder! If you can do this, she will tell you about a secret passage straight into Camelot.

04secretpassage2.png

04criminalsthreadtrans.gif To get information about what actually happened, she will tell you to talk to the servants at the house about what happened, and give you a piece of thread to try and get information about as another piece of evidence for her innocence.

[#12]Head back to the Sinclair Mansion and talk to all 6 Servants - Hobbes, Louisa, Mary, Donovan the Family Handyman, Stanford and Pierre - about everything to do with the murder to gather as much information as possible, and work out which ones will help proves Anna innocent. Once you have got all the information you need, [#13]head back to the Courthouse, and [#14]go down the stairs.

05courtenter.png

First will be a statement by those who feel that Anna is guilty.

05court.png

It's then your turn to do your job and prove Anna's innocence. [#15]To bring up a witness, talk to the Judge, and choose who you want, then talk to the witness, and choose what you want them to speak about to get the information put forward.

The people you want to talk about each thing are:

  • Dog Handler - Ask about the Poison
  • Butler - Ask about the Dagger
  • Maid - Ask about the night of the murder
  • Handyman - Ask about the thread

After each person has put forward their evidence towards Anna's innocence, the jury will talk among themselves before the judge tells them to be quiet. After all the witnesses have put forward their evidence, as long as all the right evidence was given, Anna will be declared Not Guilty and the Courtroom will fill with Balloons! If something went wrong, you will have to start again from the beginning.

06baloons2.png

[#16]Leave the courtroom and [#17]speak to Anna again, and she will explain the location of the secret passage she mentioned earlier.

07statue1a.png

[#18]Head up the eastern side of Camelot Castle and you will find a statue.

08searchstatue.png

[#19]Search it, and you will find yourself within a cut-scene.

09cut-scene1.png

It will become clear that there is something wrong going on, and that you've been lured into a trap, and then 'She' wants to see you. This 'She' will turn out to be Morgan Le Faye, who will tell you that you will find the others soon, other than Arthur who is "a bit...busy at the moment".

You will find yourself in a cell with Merlin and the Knights of Camelot. [#20]Talk to Merlin who will explain the situation, and explain that King Arthur has been turned into a Granite Statue with the Black Knights, and the Holy Grail has been stored in the Keep Le Faye.

[#21]On one of the walls in the Cell is a Vent. Choose to reach it, and you will call the knights over, who will stand on each other's shoulders and let Merlin escape.

12merlinescape2.png

If you wish to leave yourself, choose to Reach Vent again, and you will find yourself beside a pile of crates. Hide inside one of these crates, go through the text, and you will find yourself near Catherby Docks.

Now that Merlin has escaped, you will need to get the other Knights out. [#22]Talk to each of the Knights, who will give you spare items that they happen to be carrying.

10haircliptrans.gif [#23]Once you have a Law Rune and an Air Rune, cast the Telekinetic Grab spell on the Guard who is wandering around outside the cell, and you will get a Hair Clip. You can also use a Lockpick instead of a Hair Clip if you had one with you.

10telegrabguard.png

[#24]Now it's time to try and open the Door to the cell.

13doorpuzzle.png

The general idea of the door is similar to the board game Mastermind. You have 10 attempts to guess what the combination is, and after each attempt you will be shown whether the number put in that column is correct, in the wrong tumbler, or completely wrong altogether.

To set the value of each tumbler, click on one of the large numbers under the lock, then click the up and down values to raise and lower the value. Each tumbler can have a value of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Once you have set it the way you want, click the 'Try Lock' button, and the results of that attempt will show in the grid on the left of the screen. On the first go, setting the values as 0, 1, 2, 3 is helpful since it lets you know if any of those numbers occur in the solution.

If you haven't solved it after 10 goes, the lock will re-set, and you will have to start over again. If you did manage to solve it within 10 attempts, you will find yourself in the Keep Le Faye surrounded by fighting Knights.

14fight.png

[#25]Head up two sets of stairs and you will find a [#26]table that needs searching.

15searchtable.png

[#27]Upon searching, you will find a series of boxes and a riddle to help you work out which one has the Holy Grail in.

16ontable.png

18holygrailtrans.gif After working out the riddle, you will work out that the box with the Holy Grail in is the purple box 2nd from the right. If you get the right box, you will get the Holy Grail. If not, you will find yourself back in the cell or in a random location such as south of Ardougne.

Now that you have the Holy Grail, [#28]head to Wizard Cromperty who can be found in a building in the north-east corner of East Ardougne.

19wizardcromperty.png

He will explain how you will help King Arthur escape from his current rocky state, and that you will need some Granite to help you do this.

20whatyouneeda.png

21animaterockscrolltrans.gif [#29]He will give you an Animate Rock Scroll, and explain that you will need more than just an Iron Chainbody and Bronze Med Helm to get into the Black Knights' Fortress.

As well as this Iron and Bronze Armour, you will need a Black Platebody, Platelegs or Skirt, and Full Helm.

[#30]To get the Granite, head to the Quarry located in the Kharidian Desert, and either mine some yourself, or pick some off the floor that somebody else has dropped in their aim to powermine as quickly as possible.

With the Iron Chainbody, Bronze Med Helm, Granite, Holy Grail, and Black Armour, [#31]head to the Black Knights' Fortress.

Enter the Fortress, [#32]push through the wall, and [#33]head down the Ladder.

22downladder.png

[#34]You will find yourself in a room with the Granite Statue of King Arthur, so choose to free him.

23kingarthur.png

[#35]A cut-scene will show him breaking out of the rock, then he will take the Iron Chainbody and Bronze Med Helm before telling you to meet him in Camelot Castle.

[#36]Head to Camelot Castle, and [#37]talk to King Arthur.

The Knight wave(?) reward, when completed, unlocks 2 new prayers, requiring level 60 prayer, 65 defense (Chivalry) and level 70 prayer, 70 defence (Piety)

Chivalry*

Must have completed King's Ransom and the training room in Camelot.

Adds +20% to your Defence, +18% to your Strength and +15% to your Attack

Piety* 70 Must have completed King's Ransom and the training room in Camelot.

Adds +25% to your Defence, +23% to your Strength and +20% to your Attack

I know it's only a rough copy, but sometimes you put, eg:

Enter house,

Go upstairs.

But then you've put

Go Downstairs.

It'd porbably be best if you kept one style in the end-result.

EDIT: Tried to make things clearer ;)

You don't need a black kiteshield, I did it without & I'm done with the quest.

EDIT: To use the new prayers you need to have done the King's ransom quest's Knight wave.

Here is the picture when you've done it:

You don't need the Hair Clip to open the lock: Bring a lock-pick (that would replace the air and law) and all is ok.

where do u get the granite from?

As it says quite clearly...

To get the Granite, head to the Quarry located in the Kharidian Desert, and either mine some yourself, or pick some off the floor that somebody else has dropped in their aim to powermine as quickly as possible.

Just a side note you might want to add in, to get out of the prison cell without having to open the cell door all you have to do is choose to reach the vent again. You end up on the surface beside a pile of crates, hide in one of the crates and go through the text and you will end up near the catherby docks.

[#23]Once you have a Law Rune and an Air Rune, cast the Telekenetic Grab spell on the Guard who is wandering around outside the cell, and you will get a Hair Clip. You can also use a Lockpick instead of a Hair Clip if you had one with you.

Telekenetic should be spelled Telekinetic.

Black skirt works fine instead of legs (it may be obvious, but the store in Al Kharid had skirts on every world I checked, while the legs store did not and restocks very slowly.)

Also Mod Nexus (I think it was) posted on the official forums that you don't actually need full black, but it will speed things up. I presume if you try without it you will have to fight your way down there, but I don't know anyone who's actually done that.

I'd say a Camulet would help a lot when you're going to get the granite.

Added that in Recommended Items.

Your reward scroll looks pretty ugly. :o Here is a new one: :o

Yours is Dark. :o

You don't need a black kiteshield, I did it without & I'm done with the quest.

Removed Kite, added section in Rewards about the Training.

How much Granite do we need exactly?

Specified you need one piece.

Changed names of all the mentions of Iron Chainbodies.

You don't need the Hair Clip to open the lock: Bring a lock-pick (that would replace the air and law) and all is ok.

--Simple--

Added note about Lockpicks.

Just a side note you might want to add in, to get out of the prison cell without having to open the cell door all you have to do is choose to reach the vent again.

Added small section about that form of escape.

Telekenetic should be spelled Telekinetic.

Fixed.

Black skirt works fine instead of legs (it may be obvious, but the store in Al Kharid had skirts on every world I checked, while the legs store did not and restocks very slowly.)

Added the option of Skirts.

It also said later in that thread Mod Nexus posted in that you cannot get into the Basement without the Black Armour. :o

Over 50. :o

Clarified. :o

For number 27, you won't always find yourself back in the cell. When you click the wrong box. You sometimes will be teleported to a random location - I was teleported back to south of East Ardougne, for example.

Updated.

You don't need any of the black armour...it just stops the lvl 33 black knights attacking you, really unnecessary.

Somethings that can be questionable in the guide are these:

Do you really need the Black Armor? What purpose does it hold? -Because in the guide, you mentioned why you need it. Could it be that it is only to protect from being mobbed by the black knights?

Can you do the Knight Wave again? Or is it a one chance only? -In the guide you never mentioned if it is only a one time chance considering it is a reward. It could be used for training if you've completed it once.

( Of course, I myself haven't finished the quest, but the guide is just a bit mis-undertanding because you never say to put the armor on or if you could do the knight wave again.)

I was wondering when they were going to release a new quest! :)

Great guide Neo, it's very easy to follow and there's lots of useful information in there. This will definitely make the quest a breeze to finish!

I'll try and get this added to the site tonight. :(
