Construction Guide Level By Level

Thanks Damaged! I have your pics so far already coded in, though please scroll up a bit and see notes on the random letters/numbers from my last post. Ta!

I think you mean these:

Those were randomly generated by imageshack when I uploaded them. I didn't know they made the coding all that difficult though

LOL No problem. I've just been through your last batch and as I saved them took the extra bits off again. It doesn't so much hurt the coding as make me have to concentrate a little bit more. :P

Thank you for these. I'm assuming that the 'there you go' and the smiley means that once I've got them all added, we'll discover that your section is done. If so, then thank you even more emphatically. :D

Off to code!

Damaged, I recomend using Photobucket instead, it is faster to upload, and gives them nice names.

Thanks, I'll check it out :P

Yup, my section is now complete. Good luck with the rest of you guide :P

Thank you very much, Audio, that will be very useful. It has to be proof-read to American English though, will that be problematic?

Maybe, but I can always slam my head on a table, if that helps?

Or pour some maple syrup on your head to learn Canadian English.

Okay Merch, the items are almost ready. Unfortunatly, I don't have photoshop so I can't get rid of the extra digits at the end. Is that okay?

No problem, Jeremy, and thank you.

Damaged, there are some items missing in yours. I'll give you the head's up when I'm done as to what, though if you refresh this page you will see the two I've found so far. Just slap me if I've missed them, or, of course, gently point to where you had them there all along. :holiday:

Audio, don't cause yourself grevious bodily harm and consider very carefully the length of hair-washing time which would be a consequence of pouring syrup over your head.

Thank you very much, Jeremy. :hugs2:

However, I've been staring at html code now for over 2 hours and I'm starting to make mistakes. :holiday: If you don't mind, I will code your images in either tomorrow or Friday evening.

Thank you very much, JT Dude. That's a lovely boost to a hardcoding weary woman. :aware:

Damaged, I have your pictures up. :) Thank you very much.

Unless I'm being particularly blind (likely), I'm missing:

  • Mahogany dining table
  • Mahogany four-poster bed
  • Gilded decoration
  • Floor decoration

Also, Hawk and Damaged, I have a query. Hawk, you are telling me that, at level 66, there is the option of planting an orange flower. Damaged, you have given me a picture of some lavendar, but no orange flowers. Are they one and the same? I've put in the ubiquitous 'bagged plant' for the moment, as that's how they all start off. :/

Also, a general query here - is it working in terms of download time with all these pictures in it? I have a fast computer now, so it's all good my end, however I had a very slow one for seven years and I know what it's like to have a webpage that takes forever to use. I'm actually at Sal's because the fansite recommended to me is so image heavy that it crashed my computer to use. I searched for an alternative and found Sal's. As I'm looking at the second page of our guide, I'm seeing the bottom toolbar whizzing through the upload of hundreds of images and it's perturbing me. Could someone with a slow computer please try looking at it and report back on whether it's all good your end? Thanks in advance.

I skipped over the mahogany dining table :) but the other ones were already in there. As for the lavendar picture you said I had given you, I don't remember it or see it at all in my last post :aware:

With all the small pictures of the things that are built such as this, the filesize is so small that if you add them all together, it's smaller than a single image like this one. Only the dungeon pictures would take any time to load, and they'll be able to be compressed a bit to make them load quicker. If you can use a normal guide without problems, I can't see any problems that would occur with loading times - there are currently things that would take significantly longer to download. :aware:

:aware: You had the alternative of gently pointing me in the right direction as well! :)

Thank you for those! I've sorted them on the website, so all is well. :/

The lavendar/orange flower thing is a conundrum, but no doubt it'll all sort itself out in the wash.

Thank you again for all your contributions. :/

Thank you for the reassurance. I'm glad that this is the case, as I do love how the images enhance the guide.

I was expecting to be told off for one of my pictures by now:

trapdoorplusscarymessage.png

I doctored that without supervision. :/ The box with the trapdoor info is actually from the step before this picture was taken, so it's screenied from that, then cut out and pasted onto this. Unfortunately I couldn't make it work right as a .png or a .gif, so that tiny bit is a .jpg, then the whole is saved as a .png. I was very proud of doing it all by myself, until I saw the finished result and figured that someone was going to go :) in my direction as soon as it was up.

I kept all the original, uncut versions of the picture on the basis that someone would want it done properly. Should I hand them over to an image expert now? *hands them over* :/

@Hawk: Mine's better because I put the line across above the Choose Option box that had been cropped. :)

EDIT: Changed the image since the line I added was 1px too low because a line of black had been cropped too. :aware:

Woot! Thank you very much.

The information on materials would be in the knowledge bank. Is there an embargo on using the official manual for research or just for pictures/word for word plagarism?

I'll work on adding it over the weekend. However, I also have a lot of work to do on page 2, so it might be later in the week/next weekend before I get there. I will get there though and I really appreciate this. :)

Merch, I think you know that I am F2P, but I would love to help with the pictures. Since I haven't been on this guide for quiet a long time, I don't know what you need and what not. If you would need any help, PM me with a list of items you need pictures of, and I will help :aware:. Good luck. Also have you thought about taunting Albert2006xp to help?

Thank you, PinkyTM, I've put you down for the images from levels 40-49, if that's good for you? These are the levels which Lilshufan4lyfe has covered and so are in the post below yours. Thank you very much in advance.

That's a good idea about Albert2006xp. He had a log on Sal's, didn't he?

hopefully this is ok :aware:

Thanks, cariad. :)

Edit: Jeremy, your images so far are in there, though we're still waiting on Easl supplying half the information needful to show them. :/ For some reason I can't get the limestone fireplace from the ones that you have uploaded.

Edit 2: Cougar and Skull, thank you both, your info to date is also added into the tables. Skull, thank you so much for the format of yours. It is the first one so far to follow the exact order as the table headings, plus the way you listed them precisely matched how the coding looks. It really sped up the coding. :/

Your welcome. :o

:o

Thanks for telling me that the knowledge base would have the info! I completely forgot about that! ;)

Here's level 5 - 19, "room", "item", "materials", "xp", and "highest level in this spot?". All I need left to do is "cost of materials".

Although, there are 2 items that I did not do "materials" and "xp" for. They are mid-level plants and high-level plants. (They are the ones bolded) There is no such thing as mid-level plants and high-level plants, but plants classified as mid-level plants and high-level plants, but I don't know which plants they are. Can someone help me determine what's what? ^_^

Column four gives the xp per item, with a total at the bottom showing what the xp would be for all items made.

While xp is correct exp looks better or even experience

Apart from that I see little else to correct.

Remind me when the guide is finished and I will check over it again
