Alright, we have most of this done, so now, all we need done is...

1. Lunar Teleports

2. Fairy Rings Teleport Mini Guide

3. Magic Carpet Mini Guide

4. Gnome Glider Mini Guide

5. Dieing Mini Guide

6. Shortcuts Mini Guide and Maps to be finished

Any suggestions of what we need to add into the guide. If so let me know. I am currently working on the Fairy Rings mini, and I'm searching for a dieing player image. If you have any of these to contribute, please do.

You forgot:

Elf crystal. You need to have atleast started mournings endings part 1 to acquire it it provides a teleport to lletya. It holds 3 charges and the elves can recharge it for a small fee.

also ta quir priw = The grand tree =/= Tree gnome stronghold. Do'nt mix them up

Also to charter ships add port tyras and moss le harmless (check the spelling on it though)

Also add that after completing the glouphrie quest you can tele to anywhere from any tree you don't need to always go back to the village.

Some pictures:

The new emote you get after you complete the glouphrie quest:

Desireful, I tried to use your map, although, only the code showed up. I could replace the one on the guide if you can get me one that doesn't only allow the code to show. Any way... This guide is becoming more than a work in progress. As a matter of fact I think we are almost finished. A few things we need are

  • A dying player image, with a mini guide
    The Magic Carpet Mini Guide
    A Little More Sneaky Shortcuts
    Coal Trucks

For now, I believe that is all we need. But, if you have anymore ideas to add to the guide, please either PM me or post what you think should be in.

What kind of "sneaky shorcuts" do u need. I can write if u tell me from where to where.

BTW u also forgot Oo'glog from the ships.

I'll add that to the Sailing Around Mini-Guide, in the mean time, stevo, the type of sneaky shortcut guides could be anything, As long as it helps f2p and p2p get around by walking faster than taking the main route, for example from Draynor Village to Barbarian Village, you wouldn't have to go all the way back to Lumbridge, then up to Varrock and the to the Barbarian Village, instead you take the Draynor Village-Barbarian Village Shortcut :aware:

Well, I'm really glad to say that, we are all most finished, some more transparancies need to be done, for the lunar and ancient spells for the elf crystal, and a few more mini guides need to be written! I want to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication put toward the guide. Stevo, I put a few more sneaky shortcuts in, it really doesn't matter from where to where, as long as it looks useful, and reduces travel time.

How's this for the dying section?

Dying:

Dying is one of the fastest methods to get around runescape. It requires no runes, magic or agility level and you may do it as often as you wish. There is one downside to it though: should you be carrying more than 3 items with you when you die, you will lose everything except your 3 most valuable items.

There are many ways to get killed, the first is with a monster attacking you and getting you down to 0 hitpoints. Another is to get poisoned. There are also many other ways: you can use the "nitro-glygerin" from the digsite quest to make an explosion thus hurting you or you can walk through the wilderness and get a revenent to attack you.

After getting killed by one method or another you will end up at your re-spawn point. This is the part of traveling around. You are able to change your respawn point. You can change it to faldor, camelot or you can leave it at lumbridge. To change it to faldor, you must complete the quest "Can someone tell me the quest plz?" then go to sir Tiffy Cashien in faldor park and and ask him to change you re-spawn point. To change your respawn point to camelot you must comlete the quest"Again can someone tell me the quest" then complete the mini-game "knights of camelot." After completing both quest and mini-game talk to merlin and he will be able to change it. Once you die you will apear at this spot with your best 3 items and then you will be able to continue with your daily life...but next time try not to die :aware:

Sometime around this weekend, I plan to have all the big topics finished, and to have a small image update. After that all I need is transparencies. My old computer with Photoshop broke down so I can't make any. All I need is a few big transparencies and finally, the guide will be finished.

Dying:

Sometimes when you wander around, you may find your hitpoints go to 0! Well, It just means you have died. Dying is one of the fastest methods to get around RuneScape. It requires no runes, magic or agility level and you may do it as often as you wish. It's not reccomended though, because should you be carrying more than 3 items with you when you die, you will lose everything except your 3 most valuable items.

There are many ways to get killed, the first is with a monster attacking you and getting you down to 0 hitpoints. Another is to get poisoned or diseased. There are also many other ways: you can use the "nitro-glygerin" from the digsite quest to make an explosion thus hurting you or you can walk through the wilderness and get a revenent to attack you. After getting killed by one method or another you will end up at your re-spawn point. This is the part of traveling around. You can change your respawn point! The options are Lumbridge, Falador, and Camelot. Upon finishing the Recruitment Drive quest, you may speak to Sir Tiffy Cashien to change your respawn point to Falador. Upon finishing the King's Ransom quest and the completion of the mini game, Knights of Camelot, you may speak to Merlin to set your respawn point to Camelot. Once you die you will apear at this spot with your best 3 items and then you will be able to continue with your daily life...but next time don't be so careless, and, try not to die!

Disease will not kill you. It will lower a random stat other than hitpoints.

Thanks again stevo, we are getting close to finishing the guide, we only need a few more getting around mini guides and from what I see, I believe we are missing one method of transportation, but I'm not sure which. I just need to run a few new images on somethings I didn't get images on, and have someone donate some transparencies to things like the Lunar Teles and Ancient Teles and we are finished :aware:

We all know you can move around anywhere in real life, but can you move around RuneScape the same way you do in life? It depends all on how you remember it. This guide can surely help you out.

The Basics:
The most basic way to move in RuneScape is to click with your mouse on screen where you want to go. You character will easily move there. There could be other possibilities though, such as going through agility obstacles, the wilderness, where you should watch your step, and just running. To activate your running ability, click on the Player Controls interface you see on screen, which also looks like a wrench.

Once there you should see this interface,

Once there to activate your running, click on the foot you see. Now, whenever you click on anywhere you would like to go, you will be there at a rate much faster than that of walking, but, as you are running, your running will decrease as you use it. It will start as 100% and slowly decrease, so when it reaches 0%, you can no longer run. There is a way to make you run longer. Agility! The higher your agility level, the longer your running stays up. So, it won't reach 0% as fast as it normally will. There's a reason to go train agility, for tips on how to raise it, visit the Agility Guide on the site. You could also recharge it with using some Strange Fruit, which heals 30% and is acquired from the "Strange Fruit" random, Sweets, aquired from Treasure Trails that heal 10% and are stackable in your inventory, Energy Potions and Super Energy Potions to increase your running percentage. A recommendation in armor for all is Mithril due to it being light and durable, and helps free players, as well as members keep their running up for a longer time. Your running will recharge, although it takes time, but if your Agility level is high, it won't take very long. It may only recharge when you are walking or standing still. You learn how to run when you start some of the very first moments of your gameplay, on Tutorial Island! If you wish to see how much running energy you have left, check your player controls interface, or check the upper right corner of your screen , next to your logout button, prayer, hitpoints, and summoning points.
You should see your running here,

Teleports:

Teleportations are one of the most used ways to get around the entire world of RuneScape, here's a reason to get you magic up, move around RuneScape with the quickest way possible with teleportation! There are many places to teleport, and some runes are required, founded on Law Runes which could cost around 300-435gp each, so stock up on those the next time you go on a shopping spree! One of the most basic teleports is, of course, The Lumbridge Home Teleport, although teleportation is often used quickly, this could be the only exception to that. Lumbridge Home Teleport is not usually used for a quick method of teleportation, well, because it's just plain old slow. It takes a long time to teleport and may be interupted by any form of combat, so don't use this to get out of a bad situation, it's just suicide! Secondly, it takes a long time to recharge, 30 minutes! Other teleports aren't like that because, they teleport much faster, and don't need time to recharge, they just need the necessary runes.

Spirit Trees:

Spirit Trees are another good method of teleportation around RuneScape. They don't require any runes, and can get you around important places in a members world. To use a spirit tree, walk up to one and right click on it, once there you should see the options box, with five options, "Talk to Spirit Tree", "Teleport Spirit Tree", "Walk here", "Examine Spirit Tree", and "Cancel"

Once there click on Talk To Spirit Tree, and then you will see the spirit tree talk to you,

Click to continue, and then you will see this screen appear,

Click yes to continue and go to the Tree Gnome Village, click no to remain in your area. If you've clicked yes, then you will appear in the Tree Gnome Village,

Once there, there are many places you could travel... Unless of course you took the spirit tree to go there. Talk to the spirit tree, (which is the foundation of spirit trees in the game, you cannot use another spirit tree without coming here first, unless you finish the Path Of Glouphrie Quest) And again you will see the"Hello gnome friend, would you like to travel anywhere?" chat screen. Now you may travel to four different locations, North-East the Grand Exchange in Varrock, The Battlefield Of Khazard, Mountains East of the Poison Waste, and The Tree Gnome Stronghold.

The Grand Exchange...

Battlefield Of Khazard...

Mountains East Of The Poison Waste

Note: You need to finish The Path Of Glouphrie quest to have this spirit tree added to your spirit tree system.

Tree Gnome Stronghold...

Upon finishing the Tree Gnome Village Quest, you may use all of the Spirit Trees to teleport to the village's tree, for the exception of the one in the Tree Gnome Stronghold, which may not be used to teleport anywhere until finishing the The Grand Tree quest. Then, that spirit tree is able to teleport you to all of the locations, although, until you finish the Path Of Glouphrie Quest, you must teleport to the Tree Gnome Village first, and then arrive at your destination. With the Path Of Glouphrie quest finished you may teleport from any spirit tree to the other, without going to the Tree Gnome Village first.

(Note:) You can farm a spirit tree with level 83 farming to use the spirit tree method of teleportation.

Gnome Gliders:

The Spirit Trees aren't the only things you could use from the gnomes, you could also use Gnome Gliders. They are found all over RuneScape, and are primarily used to get to places in RuneScape to reach in a short period of time. One quest you have to do to use the Gnome Gliders transportation method is complete the Tree Gnome Village Quest. An easy way to use the system is only approach the Gnome Captain, right click on him and click the "Glider" option for a faster way.

Note: You need to finish the The Grand Tree Quest to use this method of getting around.

Then, once clicked on, a map will show up. Examine the one below.

You will see the six choices, if you are not familiar with their language then there is the translations below.

1. Sindarpos (White Wolf Mountain)

2. Ta Quir Priw (The Grand Tree)

3. Kar-Hewo (Al-Kharid)

4. Gandius (Karamja)

5. Lemantolly Undri (Feldip Hills)
After doing the One Small Favour quest.

6. Lemanto Andra (Digsite)

Now that you have the translations you should meet your captain, and the glider he's flying,

Al-Kharid Captain-
Captain Dalbur

Gnome Stronghold Captain-
Captain Errdo

White Wolf Mountain Captain-
Captain Bleemadge

Karamja Shipyard Captain-
Captain Klemfoodle

Feldip Hills Captain
Captain Alvafrim

Digsite Captian
Captain Errdo

Another area to go to using the gnome glider method is Crash Island, if you've at least started the Monkey Madness quest. Please note that when you go to the Digsite by gnome glider, it crashes and you can't use it to go anywhere else. Also note that the Grand Tree captain and the Digsite captain is the same gnome.

The only way you can arrive at your destination on the map is if you start your journey at the Gnome Stronghold. Example: If you would like to pay a visit to Karamja and you are at Al-Kharid at the time, you must first go to the Tree Gnome Stronghold, then you may go to Karamja.

That may be a set back but, on the brighter side it's much faster than walking and doesn't cost any money either.

Fairy Rings:

Fairy rings are a good method of teleportation that has most of the RuneScape members world covered. To use Fairy rings you need to approach one after the completion of the A Fairy Tale Part Two: Cure a Queen quest. Once approached you need to type in a certain combination to be transported to a certain area. So, if you want to see all the diffferent places you may go, visit the Fairy Rings guide on the site.

Sneaky Shortcuts:

There are many sneaky shortcuts around RuneScape... Here is a few to get you moving around it pretty quickly,

1. A simple shortcut, requiring no agility levels or runes, is the shortcut east of Draynor Manor to get to Barbarian Village. Once you have walked/ran to the entrance of Draynor Manor (where Veronica is) begin walking East. Follow the fence north from the manor and you will arrive at Barbarian Village. Turn east to get to Varrock, North to get to Edgeville or West to get to Falador.

2. A great, yet simple shortcut, requiring no agility levels or runes, is the shortcut starting at Rimmington, but taking you to Taverly. All that is need is to follow up to the pathway and make a left turn, then from there head up towards the makeover mage, after that, go through the gate and continuously head north until you arrive at a lake. From there, go West, then North to arrive in Taverly.

3. Another great freeplay shortcut, requiring no agility levels or runes, is the shortcut going behind Lumbridge Castle and going to the Wizard's Tower. It starts in the great small village of Lumbridge, and then you follow the castle wall to behind the castle and follow the path west until you arrive at a North-South turn. From there, take the South way, and follow the way down to the Wizard Tower Bridge, and go to the Wizard's Tower!

Sailing Around:

There are many docks located all around the world of RuneScape. In a free world, sailing is usually one of the only ways to travel. Although sometimes it requires a small fee, you use it in many freeplay quests, like Pirate's Treasure, and Dragon Slayer. Sailing is not a very effiecient way to travel, although maybe sometimes it's the only way.

Here are the options of places you may travel...

Freeplay Areas,
1. Karamja
2. Crandor (only during Dragon Slayer quest)
3. Port Sarim

Members Areas,
1. Karamja
2. Crandor (only during Dragon Slayer quest)
3. Port Sarim
4. Karamja Shipyard
5. Entrana
6. Brimhaven
7. Feldip Hills
8. Port Khazard
9. Ardougne
10. Cairn Isle
11. Port Tyras
12. Moss Le Harmless
13. Oo'glog

Canoeing:
Canoeing is a good way to get to places you need to get to. It doesn't have very many options but it helps members very well. The only item needed for this process is, your woodcutting axe! To use a canoe is quite simple, approach one of the five locations on the River Lum and use you woodcutting axe to chop the canoe stand. Then, depending on your woodcutting level, you may make different types of canoes. Shape it, and then float it on the river. Right click option "Paddle" or just left click the canoe and choose your location from the following...

1. Lumbridge
2. Champion's Guild
3. Barbarian Village
4. Edgeville
5. Wilderness

While you are in the canoe, you can't move anywhere, communicate or do any emotions, your player just paddles the canoe to your destination. Here is what it looks like to be in a canoe...

Note: You must be a member to use this feature. And when you are in the Wilderness there is no canoe stand to chop. So if you are ready to embark into the deep level 35 wilderness, don't bring any items you fear to lose.

For more information on canoes, visit the Canoe guide!

Magic Carpets:

Magic Carpets are a good way to travel the Al-Kharidian desert. Simply approach a rug merchant, and click to use his carpet. There are many places to travel with these carpets, observe the map below to see all of the places you may go...

For more information on Magic Carpets visit the Magic Carpets guide on the site!

Mine Carts:

There are two types of Mine Carting transportation systems in the game. Read below to see them both and where they are located.

One of the first types of Mine Carting Transportation in the game belongs to the lovers of mining, dwarves! Although first, the Giant Dwarf quest must be finished before using the dwarves type. This system connects major dwarf locations Keldagrim, under the White Wolf Mountain, and The Dwarven Mines under the Ice Mountain. Using this method is rather simple, and for you mining lovers, it can help you get to MASSIVE mining locations only for the small fee of 100-150gp. Just buy a ticket from the conductor and hop on the cart!

The other type of Mine Carting is the Jungle Carts located on Karamja. It connects Shilo Village, and Brimhaven. So if you want to get around that crazy jungle faster, use this method for only the fee of 200gp! It is ran by two very nice brothers, Vigroy and Hajedy, in which of the case that you don't have enough money with you, they will charge you much less than you need. This method can be used after the completion of the Shilo Village quest.
The circles on the map represent where you can use the carts and where to find them.

Another is to get poisoned. There are also many other ways: you can use the "nitro-glygerin" from the digsite quest to make an explosion thus hurting you or you can walk through the wilderness and get a revenant to attack you. Once you die you will appear at this spot with your best 3 items and then you will be able to continue with your daily life...but next time don't be so careless, and, try not to die!

When you die, a message will come up in your chat box, saying "Oh dear, you are dead" and so will an interface show up on your screen.

Spell checked for you. :aware:
