Incidentally, I have never heard of the Pittsburgh Rare/Black and Blue?

Blue rare or very rare - (37.8°C/100°F core temp) Cooked very quickly; the outside is seared, but the inside is usually cool and barely cooked. The steak will be red on the inside and barely warmed. Sometimes asked for as 'blood rare'. In the United States this is also sometimes referred to as 'Black and Blue' or 'Pittsburgh Rare'.

Usually as long as it doesn't try to move, and I don't taste a mouthful of blood, then its okay with me.

You'll get that once it's killed and the blood is sucked out, which is generally right away.

 

I'm speaking food in general, regardless what it is. As long as it doesn't move around and isn't blood flavored, then I'm generally okay with consuming it. Speaking of which, I still plan to try Sushi sometime...

 

Sushi . . . YUUUUUUUMMMMMMMM!

:aware: (I can't even begin to say that that would even remotely thrill me.)

 

Thanks for the info though. I used to be vegetarian and even now I have a problem handling raw meat, I can't imagine eating it (yeah, yeah, I know I said I like sushi but, to me, raw fish is different).

i like my steak cooked mediums rare. but i also like steak tar tar. finely ground steak with various seasonings on the side. with a raw egg yolk nested in the middle
