All Fired Up.

Recommended Posts

"Required Items" has an axe listed in it.

This is wrong, you should move it to Reccomended Items.

I did the whole quest without cutting a tree, you can also use banked logs.

All Fired Up.

Written By: Henrique651

Special Thanks to: Twist of Fate, Neo Avatars, Xela King, South630, Deadstone.

Where to Start: Talk to King Roald in the Varrock Castle.

Item Requirements: An Axe of any metal, A Tinderbox, and 45 logs.

Level Requirements: 43 Firemaking

Recommended Levels: 25 Magic.

Recommended Items: Run Energy restore items such as Energy Potions, Super Energy Potions, Tireless Run Scrolls, and the Sort. 1 Teleport to Varrock.

Beginning the Quest

To begin this quest, talk to King Roald in the Varrock Palace, by following the lines in the map below.

f_Varrockmapm_4a28177.png

Yellow Line: From Varrock Teleport.

Red Line From Barbarian Village/Edgeville.

Blue Line From the Grand Exchange

Green Line From Lumbridge/Al-Kharid.

After arriving at the Palace, talk to King Roald who, after a small chat, will give you a task of helping with the Beacons of the Realm. Say you would be happy to help him.

He then instructs you to go meet Blaze Sharpeye, who is stationed in the Temple of Paterdomus, near the River Salve. From Varrock, head East until you leave the city, then turn North at the crossroad. Continue Following that pass until you arrive at the Temple. Blaze is a bit south.

Lighting the Beacons

Before going, bring 20 logs with you. It'll help in the long run.

f_vvm_2dcad8b.png

Speak to Blaze, and he'll tell you that King Roald has brought majestic beacons so that, in time of war, they can be set as an alarm. He wants you to test if it works. After teaching you his ultra-secret technique (which may not sound so secret when you see it) he'll order you to light the beacon next to him. For that you will need 20 logs. If by any reason you do not have them, you can cut them from the nearby trees (which is why you should bring an axe). The nearest bank is in Canifis if you've got the logs stored in your bank.

beacon.png

After collecting 20 logs, light the beacon next to Blaze by using the "Add-logs" option and then lighting it with your Tinderbox. Report back to Blaze, who will tell you to get "this show on the road". He will order you to go light the beacon near the Rag and Bone Man's place.

f_Blazem_f8b51e7.png

Talk to Squire Fyre who will tell you that she can see Blaze's fire and that you should light this. If you by any reason ask her for any spare logs she'll answer that all her logs are for official use only.

After Lighting the Beacon, speak to Fyre again, who will tell you to report back to Blaze, which you shall do.

Talk to Blaze who will tell you about the beauty of the fire until he mentions that the fire of "his" beacon has diminished. He thens explains you that you can top up a beacon again by putting 5 logs in it. After doing this, report once again back to Blaze, who will tell you to go back and tell King Roald about your sucessfull mission. If you haven't noticed by this point, Blaze is a Pyromaniac.

Finishing the Quest

Teleport or Walk back to Varrock, and report to King Roald to finish your quest. Well done!

Think you have to edit your pictures a bit though..

It looks like the screenshots were saved in a wrong file format and then resaved into PNG

Also some of the transparency pictures still have unneeded pixels in them and weird edges (anti-aliasing has to be turned off when making a transparent image , especially people using photoshop)

Use this instead. :aware:

Not having done the quest myself yet, I'm not sure if this is correct:

And last but certainly not least, with 14 (all) beacons lit you will receive the Inferno Adze

Shouldn't it be the Inferno Axe?

Something I haven't seen mentioned is that you can't add more than 1 type of log to a beacon at a time.

EDIT: nevermind someone mentioned it while I had this page open

...to Squire Fyre who will tell you that she can see Blaze's fire and that you should light this.

Sounds kind of weird, eh? Would be better if replaced by "you should light the one besider her."

He thens explains you that you can top up a beacon again by putting 5 logs in it.

thens -> then

Nice guide by the way :aware:

you could add explorer ring to the recomended items list. And for extended run equipment go ahead and throw in the lightening gear, spotted(ier) cape, boots of lightness, penance gloves.
