Temporary Stat Boosters - Ready I Think.

Recommended Posts

looks pretty good, needs a little more work but it will be good to have all the skill boosts in one centralized location.

~kugel

Thanks, that's the reason I made it.

Could anybody write up the Stew please?

Spelling/Grammar Errors...

NOTES:The capes of

NOTES:The should be NOTES: The with a space.

of achievment

achievment should be achievement UNLESS, This is an American spelling or something.

Note: the Mature ale is very hard to come across.

Mature should be mature

Slayer's Respite(M) - Raises by 2.

Respite(M) should be Respite (M) just like all the rest of the formating on the guide.

Theiving

Theiving should be Thieving, Common mistake with me.

Thanks, I'll edit those in now.

I'm going to try and write up the stew, although if anyone else wants to, feel free.

Dang. I remembered you saying that in another topic, thought it was the other way around. I'll change it now.

The Spicy Stew can raise almost all your skills by 6, or lower them by 6. To make a Spicy Stew, you first need a cat (Or hellcat), and some stew (As many as you can hold). Go to Evil Dave's basement, in Edgeville. Make your cat chase the rats, which will drop spice, either Red, Orange, Yellow, or Brown. Place the stews into the soup.

Depending on the colour of spice, it will boost a certain skll. Red will boost Attack, Strength, Defence, Ranged and Magic. Orange will boost Smithing, Crafting, Fletching, Runecrafting, Cooking, Construction and Firemaking. Yellow boosts Prayer, Agility, Slayer, Thieving and Hunter. And lastly, Brown boosts Woodcutting, Herblore, Farming, Fishing and Mining.

Depending on how many of each spice you put in, the maximum the skill can be boosted by raises. With 1 spice, it's +2. With 2, it is +4. 3 is the maximum of an individual colour, boosting up to a maximum of 6.

More than one colour of spice may be in any stew.

Eating multiple Stews can lower your stat continuously, as far as 0, but never boost it by more than 6.

Only one stew may be made at a time, but you can have an infinite amount of spices. So, as soon as you eat one, you can make another.

The stew may boost none of the corresponding stats one time, then all the next. It's random.

That's what I've written. Is it accurate/enough?

You still havn't added Hunter? Anyway the oogloog Mud Pool gives a +8 Bonus to Hunter while a Hunter Potion gives a +3 bonus to Hunter.

I'll add those now. If anyone has any submissions, or could link some sections of the guide to the DB that'd be great

Would be good to add a notice that the boosts don't always work. Some quests and achievement diary tasks, for example, require the base level.

Axeman's Folley -> Folly, unless it's American English or something.

Lukepwnage's info on the Mud and Thermal Pool was okay, but just in case, I'll put it a wee bit more detailed. Bold = Corrected.

Mud Pool: Temporarily gives Hunter a +8 bonus*, also temporarily works as if you smoked a trap.

Thermal Pool: Gives a temporary +14 Hitpoints bonus*, fully heals you, and cures Poison and Disease. Also gives 20 minute immunity to Disease.

Salt Water Pool: Unlimited Run Energy for a certain amount of time, depending on your agility level

Sulphur Pool: Restores Prayer and give a +8 boost to Prayer that will only deplete when used

Bandos Pool: Marks you as a Bandos follower for 1 hour

Note* I'm not exactly sure if it depends on a certain level, but I took a dip at the springs, and that's what I got.

Big Dave, I'll read through your list and compare.

Plaid, I was planning on requesting that actually >.<

Oh, oh. You got a mistake!

Bathing in the thermal pool in Oo'glog – Boosts Hitpointsby 14.

It should be Hitpoints by.

Also, the Elidinis Statuette in Nardah boosts hitpoints by 7. You need to do the quest Spirits of the Elid to access it. >.<

For prayer you say there are no edible or drinkable items that will raise it...

Did you forget prayer potions and mixes? Yup...

Also, Saradomin Brews raise your prayer too, I believe.

~Vincent

EDIT:

Taken from Sal's Item Database:

Prayer Potion:

Equipment Stats or Effects: Each dose will restore 30% of your maximum prayer points.

We're not talking about restoring it, we're talking about boosting it.

Combat potion - Raises Attack by 11 levels.

Sorry to say, but this information is incorrect. A combat potion is like a NORMAL attack and strength potion put together, so therefore it doesn't raise it by 11 levels but instead a 15% boost to both attack and strength.

Ok, thanks. The person who submitted must have had 11 as 15% of his level.

Okay, okay... I'm not done bugging ya bout' grammar and spelling...

Poison Chalice - Chance of boosting Craftingby 1.

Crafting by

Elidinis Statuette - located in Nardah, this boosts hitpoints by 7.

Shouldn't "hitpoints" be named as "Hitpoints"?

TheSpicy Stew can raise almost all your skills by 6, or lower them by 6.

It should be "The Spicy Stew". This is in the first sentence.
