Grosstesque Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Will it work if I put my T-Mobile SIM card from my RAZR and put in in an AT&T Pantech Duo? Quote
Acid Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Pantec duo = smart phone right? Most smart phones come unlocked so you can use any sim. Unless it has a network tattoo'd on it (aka 3/vodaphone) it should work straight out of the box. Also it helps if the phone was a pay as you go. Quote
Grosstesque Posted October 12, 2008 Author Posted October 12, 2008 Great, thank you! Also, any idea of the price of the Duo? (by itself, no contract) Quote
Definition Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 http://cgi.ebay.com/ATT-Cingular-Pantech-D...id=p3286.c0.m14 I'd say in the $250 range. Quote

Wrong, I don't know what it is on the other side of the ocean but in the US, phones are locked to the carrier unless... He said AT&T Pantech Duo, it's locked to AT&T. The T-Mobile SIM won't work unless you call AT&T to get the unlock codes or another source to get unlock codes. Quote
Definition Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 I got a blackberry the other day from a Rogers dealer. It was unlocked. Quote

HI you can't use your t-mobile sim in Pantech Duo phone until you unlock it from AT&T network .....You can get it unlocked through providers like SimpleUnlocking.com here they provide unlock code for all mobile models .....After unlocking the pantech duo you can freely use it with t-mobile or any other GSM sim ........ djpailo Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Bare in mind, if you were in UK, any virtual networks that use the T-mobile network would still work with the locked phone. So virgin sim cards can be used on orange locked phones as far as I remember. Quote
