Caboose
Hmm, well it's in a language i can't understand... but it's interesting that you can't change anything. That would probably mean that your speakers aren't connected, or you have a problem with your sound card/drivers.

Caboose
Then i suggest that the logical course of action would be to uninstall it and then reinstall it.

Caboose
Well did you install your sound card yourself? If so, do you still have the disc with the driver on it? If not, what sound card is it? If it is an actual card then you can probably find the drivers on the internet. As for the first point, if you don't still have the disc. If it's just integrated then it's probably worth spending >£10 on a sound card and installing it yourself.

Caboose
Ah, it's a laptop, well that complicates matters, i'm afraid i can't assist you in this aspect, other than trying to find out the type of sound card/chipset you have and searching for drivers online. zork
when you removed the virus, you might have removed the sound driver, try to replace that.
Agent F
I'm guessing you overlooked post 7 because you haven't replied to it yet. To elaborate on what Definition was saying, go to Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc to open the Device Manager. Click the + sign next to Sound, video and game controllers and tell us which are listed and which if any have an X icon. You can also provide a screen shot if you prefer.
