PvP Worlds

2yni7up.gifNOTE: PvP (Player vs Player) is not safe! You will become skulled when you attack someone (If you attacked them first,) you would keep your normal three items on death). This means that when you die, you do not keep ANY items and using the Protect Item Prayer will not work! Although, you keep three items if you don't attack someone first! Beware, on your death, you will not receive a gravestone to get your items back!

After the PvP system was removed from the Wilderness, Jagex - the creators of RuneScape - designated the Bounty Hunter minigame to replace the old system. However, because of some players' demands, PvP worlds were added to compensate the loss of a free PvP system. In PvP worlds, you can attack other players (within a limited combat level range) nearly anywhere, with the exception of banks and some minigames. PvP worlds are available in free-to-play and members' worlds.

What to bring, Stats to have

If you're planning to stay in a Player vs. Player world, then it is recommended that you have around 10-18 Monkfish, Swordfish or Lobster, 2-6 potions (Varying type), and the remaining free spaces for drops and/or teleportation tabs used in emergencies.

You should have at least 40 in the combat skill you are using (e.g. 40 Strength, Defense and Attack, 40 Magic, or 40 Range) and have at least 30 Prayer (recommended.) Also, for members, a higher Agility level is recommended, for quick run restoration.

There aren't any items that you must take. Take items that help you in what ever type of PvPing you're doing!

Don't take items you mind losing!

How to get on a PvP world

Before you can start fighting, you will need to know which worlds are PvP and how to get on to them. Note: You must be level 20 combat or higher!

The only PvP Worlds are Worlds 26 and 86 for Members and Worlds 21 and 17 for Free Players.

When you log onto a PvP World you will get the following message:

1tpuef.gif

If you decide that you don't want to log on you can just click on "Go Back".

PvPBook.gifWhen you first enter a PvP world, you start in the safe area around Lumbridge Castle. You are also given a book in your inventory. You can speak to Doomsayer in Lumbridge to get another. Both of these only happen the FIRST time you log into any PvP world. After that, you stay where you were when you last logged out.

Safe Spots

PKS.png The safe spots are every bank, the Grand Exchange and some Minigames. Also, Entrana will be safe if you're a Member.

Lumbridge Courtyard and all Guilds will be safe!

How to get a better "Drop"

Drops, also known as loot, are what you get when you kill someone. The higher levelled you are, and the higher levelled your opponent is, the better the drops. This is why a summoning pouch in your inventory is recommended. Free players need to be killing someone risking 26k while member need to be risking 76k. Whilst members are killing, 75K is required for a drop. Your drop potential goes up when you are out of a safezone. It goes up twice as fast in the hotspots - Varrock/Falador/Trollheim/Ardougne/Wilderness.

Possible loot

  • 33vdk05.gifAny Corrupt Dragon Items
  • Ancient Warriors' Equipment
2lbdqh5.gifThere are two sets of armour and weapons that require 78 Defense for armor and 78 Attack for weapons for one hour of use, or 20 Defense and 20 Attack for 15 minutes of use which belonged to the warriors Vesta and Statius.

nps2kg.gifThere is one set for Magic that requires 78 Magic, 78 Attack for weapons and 78 defense for armor which can be used for hour of use, or 20 in each of those three skills for 15 minutes of use. This armour belonged to Zuriel.

2a7eslt.gifThere is one set for range that requires 78 Defense (for the armour) and 78 Ranged (For the bow) for 15 minutes of use.
    This is Morrigans armour

After one hour or 15 minutes of use has ended, the items will degrade and cannot be repaired. Please note that this is the same for Corrupt Dragon Items.(Only avalible on Free Players PvP)

  • Brawling Gloves (Explained below)

Note: You can get almost any item(s) on PvP Worlds.

Brawling Gloves

140ymtg.gif Brawling Gloves are a possible drop on a Member PvP World; these kind of the gloves will give you 50% (or 1.5x) more experience to that skill when worn on a Member PvP world. While training in the wilderness (on a Members PvP World), the experience will be quadrupled (4x). Like PvP weapons/armour, they will degrade after a certain amount of use which usually varies depending on the glove type. They come in the following types:

  • Agility
  • Cooking
  • Firemaking
  • Fishing
  • Hunter
  • Magic
  • Melee
  • Mining
  • Prayer
  • Ranged
  • Smithing
  • Thieving
  • Woodcutting

Strategies

Melee

Melee: Members

Attack your opponent with your Dragon scimitar/whip. Once your opponent gets low on health, pull out your Dragon dagger(p++) and use the special attack to try to perform a "knock out" (KO). The reason for this is so that you can do high damage to finish off your opponent, before they actually run out of food.

Melee: Freeplay

Use a Rune Scimitar - once your opponent gets low on health, pull out your Rune 2 handed sword and try to KO them.

Range

Range: Members

Method one: Use a Rune Crossbow with Addy/Dragon bolts. Once your opponent gets low on health, switch to Dragon/Onyx Bolts to knock them out.

Method two: Use a Magic Shortbow. Once your opponent gets low on health, use the special attack to KO them.

Method three: Use a Magic Shortbow. Once your opponent gets low on health, switch to your Dark Bow (and Dragon arrows) and use the special attack to KO them.

Method four: Wear full Void Range/Mystic and Dark Bow. Use Ice Blitz (from the Ancient Magicks spellbook) until your opponent is at 2/3 of their health then use Dark Bow special to KO them. (requires 80+ Range to be effective.)

Range: Freeplay

Use a Maple Shortbow. Once your opponent gets low on health, pull out your Rune two-handed sword (or a corrupt dragon weapon) for a KO. The hits will stack and you get a "double hit."

Magic

Magic: Members:

Method one: Use the Ice Blitz spell from the Ancient Magicks spellbook, then a Rune Crossbow/Dragon Dagger (p++) to KO them.

Magic: Freeplay:

Get a Fire staff and the required runes for fire strike (or fire blast), then, once your opponent is low on health, cast Bind (from the normal spellbook) and use a rune weapon to KO them.

Another thing you can do on PvP worlds is get a friend to meet up with you in a major city or the deep wilderness and do something called "Camping." Camping is when two players go somewhere and one of them kills the other player over and over again for around 2 - 5 times, doing so could get them a very valuable drop. When you are camping, the person who will be the attacker needs to risk 75k+, not including their weapon, in order to get a drop. The person who dies needs to be risking 26k. This process can take more than ten hours, so patience is a requirement. Other than that, there is really nothing else you need - just make sure your friend is not more than ten levels above or below your combat level and that you can trust them. This is sometimes called the "26k trick."

Note, this is no longer possible (as explained above, because of this update). This update was brought into the game as of 15th of July 2009.

And remember...

HAVE FUN!

Please read what you have written...

NOTE:Pvp(player vs player) is not safe! You will become skulled when you attack someone therfore when you die you will lose all your items but a gravestone will apear but not many people will save you on PvP!!

Its one huge sentence with too many linking words (but)

Try like this:

NOTE: PvP (Player vs Player) is not safe! If you attack someone you will be skulled. This means that when you die you will lose all your items. One way to keep an item is by using the "Protect Item" prayer which works even when skulled.

Also, i do not think there are graves on PvP worlds...

Overall, i think it needs a lot of work (obviously ^_^) but it should come out nicely

Ok about thr magic equipment for f2p you can say that if they have 50 runecrafting they oculd get best equipment from the Great Orb Project minigame and if they dont they can get the equipment from fist of guthix, im not sure what its called but ill find out and edit this post, i would also like some credit =)

heres what u can add

"If you have 50 runecrafting you might want to get Runecrafting Equipment from Great Orb Project minigame which provides good amount of magic attack and defence.

You could also get Druidic Equipment from Fist of Guthix minigame which will raise your chances of succesful "bind" spell cast or you could get Combat Equipment which will randomly produce runes for your spells.

Runecrafting Equipment has much better stats but no spaciel moves, but i sitll reccomend to use them. Also this equipment is harder to get so your puting biger risk on yourself. If you dont want to risk its better to stay with Blue Wizard Roves."

Recomended inventory, Stats and items

That doesn't exist. If it is impossible to write something accurately like what to wear, what to take and stats to have for PvP worlds then you would be a lot better off not writing it.

I beg to differ with what to wear and bring.

I can manage to kill with monk's robe top, Green d'hide top

Rune dagger, Adamant 2h, rune scimitar, maple shortbow

500 bronze arrows (I pick them up)

Green D'hide bottom

Mithril kitesheild/ Adamant Sq.

In my inventory, I carry tuna, and teleport runes, but usually just an inventory with food.

Don't talke liek d1s.

Oh, and Entrana is a safe spot.

In how to get better drop, you spelled for wrong.

Fir-> For

Drops-

Steel longsword.

Adamant medium helmet.

Adamant dagger.

Basically the rest of adamant, steel, and iron items.

Food.

Strength potions.

Bones.

Other items that I remember I'll post.

That is why it is not a good thing to write. Everyone PKs differently and has different stats.

This guide is pretty useless.

For one, only state facts not your opinion.

For some reference, check Lights guide (View topics made by this user), but remember to credit those people.

[name=PvP]How to get on a PvP world[/name]

Before you can start fighting, you will need to know which worlds are PvP and how to get on to them. Note: You must be level 20 combat or higher! To save some time, you probably don't want to go throught all the worlds to find a PvP world, so here's a quick and easy way to do it:

As seen in the picture above, there's a little skull on the top right-hand corner of the screen with the worlds. All you have to do is press the up arrow near the skull to make all PvP worlds come to the top. It will then be like the picture below.

The best PvP world is completely up to you! You might like a busy world or a not so busy world!

[name=safe]Safe Spots[/name]

The safe spots are all banks, the grand exchange and as only some Minigames will be safe as well as Entrana if your a Member.
You will know if your in a safe spot because there will be a skull with a cross over it shown below

[name=drops]How to get a better "Drop"[/name]

Drop also known as loot is what you get when you kill someone and but you dont get what the other person\'s wielding and has in the inventory, you get better drops if your in a "hot spot"(not near a bank or the Grand Exchange) and the longer you\'r in one the better reward you will get for killing someone due to what you will have staked. Also, if you kill someone thats a higher lvl that you then you would get a better award than someone lower than you. Free players also need 25k worth of items and money (not your 3 best) and Members is 75k for a decent reward. So in order to get a better drop;
Stay in a Hot Spot for a while
Have expensive items on you
Kill someone who's a higher level than you

Brawling gloves is a possible drop on a Member PvP world.
These Gloves give 50% more experience while being worn on a PvP world but in the wilderness they give 4x more experience so if you want to train skills quicker with the added risk then kill people and get Brawling gloves.
Brawling gloves degrade overtime and come in the following types:

As seen in the picture above, there's a little skull on the top right-hand corner of the screen with the worlds. All you have to do is press the up arrow near the skull to make all PvP worlds come to the top. It will then be like the picture below.

2dhz1no.jpg

The best PvP world is completely up to you! You might like a busy world or a not so busy world!

Safe Spots

The safe spots are all banks, the grand exchange and as only some Minigames will be safe as well as Entrana if your a Member.

You will know if your in a safe spot because there will be a skull with a cross over it shown below

x8495.png

How to get a better "Drop"

Drop also known as loot is what you get when you kill someone and but you dont get what the other person\'s wielding and has in the inventory, you get better drops if your in a "hot spot"(not near a bank or the Grand Exchange) and the longer you\'r in one the better reward you will get for killing someone due to what you will have staked. Also, if you kill someone thats a higher lvl that you then you would get a better award than someone lower than you. Free players also need 25k worth of items and money (not your 3 best) and Members is 75k for a decent reward. So in order to get a better drop;

Stay in a Hot Spot for a while

Have expensive items on you

Kill someone who's a higher level than you

Possible loot

Any Corrupt Dragon

Corrupt God Armour

All Iron, Steel and Adamant Armour and weapons

Food

Strength Potions

Brawling Gloves (Explained below)

Brawling Gloves

Brawling gloves is a possible drop on a Member PvP world.

These Gloves give 50% more experience while being worn on a PvP world but in the wilderness they give 4x more experience so if you want to train skills quicker with the added risk then kill people and get Brawling gloves.

Brawling gloves degrade overtime and come in the following types:

  • Agility
    Cooking
    Firemaking
    Fishing
    Hunter
    Magic
    Melee
    Mining
    Prayer
    Ranged
    Smithing
    Thieving
    Woodcutting

Strategies

Melee: Members

Attack your opponent with your Dragon scimitar/whip. Once your opponent gets low on health, pull out your Dragon dagger(p++) and use the special attack to try to do a \"knock out\" (KO). The reason for this is so you can do high damage to finish off your opponent before they actually run out of food.

Melee: Freeplay

Use a Rune Scimitar, once they get low health pull out your rune 2 handed sword and try to KO them.

Once your opponent gets low on health, switch to your dark bow (and d arrows) and use the special attack to KO them.

Method four: Wear full void range/mystic and dark bow. use ice blitz until opponent is at 2/3 health then use dark bow special to KO. (requires 80+range to be effective)

Range: Freeplay

Use maple Shortbow. Once your opponent gets low on health, pull out your rune 2-h (or corrupt dragon weapon)

for a KO. The hits will stack and you get a \"double hit.\"

Magic: Members:

Method one: use the ice blitz then a rune crossbow/dragon dagger (p++) to KO.

Note: This is not the current code.

NOTE:Pvp(Player vs player) is not safe! You will become skulled when you attack someone. This means that when you die you keep no items unless you use the Protect Item prayer which keeps one more item on death so you will keep only 1 item, A gravestone will not apear and even if one does not many people will save you on PvP!!! [look incredibly messy and is unneeded]

Need a space here [should be seperated into paragraphs]

PvP also known as Player vs Player used to only be in the wilderness and bounty hunter [what about Castle Wars, Clan Wars, Stealing Creation, etc?] however people suggested to jagex for PvP all over runescape and the only safe place is banks and the Grand Exchange! PvP is avalible for Free Players and Members!

[/qoute]

You should have atleast 40 in the combat skill you are using (40 strength, defence and attack, 40 magic and 40 range) [This would better be devided into combat levels and suggested stats, ie combat level 90s should have atleast 80 defence (unless being a pure) etc]

and have atleast 30 prayer (43 highly recomended though). [Again unneeded as pures do not raise prayer]

Agility (Members) For energy restoration

I also recomend that you have a high non combat related skill so if you die you can get your items back by making then selling things to buy them back (or to smith and obtain them back)

[/qoute]

Note: Italisised text is edits you should make and bold text indicated what you should remove. []s indicate comments on reasons for the change.

I might be inclined to exclude that part, since your goal is NOT to die. In addition only a very small percentage of players actually make their armor, and most of those people are NOT pkers. You might also want to add strategies to the guide, for new players who don't know what a "KO" is.

I wrote a couple of the basic strategies you can include in your guide here:

Melee: Members

The reason for this is so you can do high damage to finish off your opponent before they actually run out of food.

Mage: Members:

Sorry I'm not much of a mage

Those were just a few common strategies, use them if you want.

Good luck!

To the guy who said 90s should have at least 80 defence, goodluck on getting kills, as most people will run from insane defense like that. Also pures can get prayer and most do.

You should write two separate guides, one for safe PVPing (like at the GE) and one for long distance pvp (wild, any other place far away from a bank)

This guide is extremely bad. Your saying it is complete when you can hardly read it. This will never be accepted without some serious work on the guide.

This is far from complete. This guide is 10% done, if you're lucky. Needs more text, more strategies, more pictures and more common sense. Your equiment to PvP in members is horrendous. Firstly taking full dragon into anywhere in a dangerous PvP area is the stupidest thing you can do, it not only is more expensive than barrows but it is also weaker than barrows. Secondly mages should use full mystic if able and not wizard robes. No offence but at this stage I'm really starting to think that you lack the capablitity to write a guide of this degree.
