How have the past few years fared for you, pandemic and otherwise? I hope you are okay.  

It's been quite good! Can't complain honestly. Has some bad times too, but I guess everybody goes through some rough patches, but overall I've been happy. Covid caught almost everyone in my close family except me and (luckily) my grandparents, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I've also moved to a different country for two years to accompany my fiancé while she finished her studies, but I'm back now with a new graduate, and queued to return to my old job which has been promised back to me as soon as it's available. So I'm basically enjoying some vacations. 
Even with things great as they are I can't help but miss this place, no matter how immature or cringey I was back in the day. It really shaped the person I've become in really weird ways.

That makes two of us! In February, 80% of my students contracted Covid, and every single co-worker as well. I dodged it, so... yay.

Eh, you were a good person, so do not think of yourself like that. The value of a person is way more complex than labelling yourself like that. The important part is that this place was a place were you had good times, and I think that is one of those things that make people return here.

My friends list is pretty much a depression zone. I don't recall most of them or the situations that happened to bring them to me. 100s of friends lost to the wind. Sure most of them were random acquaintances. People you just met in game and did some stuff with and added each other. Back when the game was actually like that. I don't think the game changed though in that respect. The people did. I also made a lot of friends here. Even if I was just a chatter and never really accomplished anything in game. I think I spent my first two years of Runescape standing in Lummy with the crowd as calls for gfs and armor trimming permeated the air. Dozens of mutes and temp bans from Jagex for my ingame chat behavior. To this day I'm still a noob.
