Getting to the altar

Ancient spells, are really powerful spells. If you want to use Ancient magic's, you have to switch it on the special altar in the desert.

 

Getting to Pyramid:

Whenever you want to change, you will have to go there. You cannot teleport there. If your switching back to normal then there are the following ways I recommend:

  1. Duel ring: teleport to duel arena
  2. Go to Edgeville and use spirit tree to get to Gnome Tree village. Then use the spirit tree there to get to Gnome Stronghold. Go a little north, and into the gnome tree and go to top floor. Use the glider there to get to al-kharid.
  3. Glory Amulet: Teleport to al-kharid

Also, it's recommended to bring 105 gp. This is because you need to buy shantay pass, which is 5 gp, and to use the carpet, which is 100gp. You can walk but don't forget the water skins, and it takes long.

 

Now once at the pyramid, you can go in through the main gate like the time you did during desert treasure, and try to kill yourself and waste a lot of time or you can just use the small door in the middle of the south side of the pyramid.

Type of spells

  • Rush - They do high damage, but are non-multi spells
  • Burst: High Damage but a multi spell
  • Blitz: Very high damage, but non-multi
  • Barrage: Super High damage and multi
  • Smoke: Poisons the opponent, and deals damage (dds).
  • Shadow: Lowers the accuracy of the opponent and deals damage.
  • Blood: You Heal 25% of the damage done to your opponent
  • Ice: Freezes the opponent. Your opponent cant move. Deals damage.
  • Teleport: Teleports you a specific area.

Staff:

You may notice that you cannot use the normal staffs; to auto set the ancients spells. You need to use the special staff known as "ANCIENT STAFF". It can be purchased after the quest only once for 80k or from people from 100-150k.

 

 

 

When wielded it gives you this bonuses:

Whenever you want to change, you will have to go there. You cannot teleport there. If your switching back to normal then there are the following ways I recommend:

  1. Duel ring: teleport to duel arena

  3. Glory Ammy: Teleport to al-kharid

Also, its recommended to bring 105 gp. This is because you need to buy shantay pass which is 5 gp and to use the carpet which is 100gp. You can walk but dont forget the waterskins, and it takes long.

 

Now once at the pyramid, you can go in through the main gate like the time you did during desert treasure, and try to kill yourself and waste a lot of time. But since your done the quest, you can use the small door behind the pyramind and get in there avoiding monsters and traps.

the way you pointed out to get to the pyramid is kinda the long way o_O why not just take the carpet from shantay pass to Pollnivneach then run from there :o i find it much much easier. and also, maybe get pictures of the spells highlighted so that sal could probably put it in a table like the current magic guide has except this will have pictures :) black spaces are kinda.. bleh?

I'm not one to ruin a good guide, but section of this guide look startlingly like this guide from tip.it

 

If you put all the info in yourself, great, but I'm a skeptic forever when it comes to original guides, barrow logs, etc.

Nice guide, 8/10 - I wish a few parts would be a little more structured. That's all.

A piece of info that may be helpful is that if you use an Ancient Teleport spell and you get the Teleportation Matrix random event the animation for the teleport will be the same as a Mondern Magic teleport (I hope that made sense :( )

 

The entrance to the Pyramid is in the middle on the South side. Not "behind the pyramid".

 

I have seen people selling Ancient Staff for 50k.

 

Go to Edgeville and use spirit tree

Since enakrah's lament quest there is a faster way to change your spell book: Use the camulet. It will teleport you into the black area south of the Bandit Camp.
