Landscape Banner

Recommended Posts

I haven't pixelled properly for a couple of years and just recently had a look back through my old files and noticed an old WIP I had going. In an effort to regain some ability, I thought i'd try and complete an old pixel.

I'm starting off from the above which was last touched on 27 July 2007

If anyone wants to suggest anything which they think would look good then feel free to!

Hopefully the pros can give me some advice.

Cool style. Not much to say, Its pretty nice. If the thing in the middle is a town, You might use some different colors to make it look more fitting (maybe a different color for the roof), but other than that its hawwwtttt

Nice job.

If pixelling images is what I think it is...

I think all pixel artists are absolutely breath-takingly amazing

Don't go from side to side on the mountains with the shading like you have. Actually define the ridges, peaks, and places that stick out.

Mountains don't also just end at the grass like that; make grass gradually disappear as it goes up the mountain instead of that abrupt line.

Better. but try not to use that weird dithering or texture? A good example of what I'm trying to get you to show is this.

It's still hard to see that in yours. You can also look at my signature for my current project. You can see the ridges in the mountain clearly even though it's not finished.
