Gathering up Information

98yq8g.gif

To start this quest, you will need to speak with Leela, who is located in Draynor Village. She can be found wandering around somewhere northwest of the jail. To get to Draynor, a simple route would be to teleport there with an amulet of glory or to cabbage-port with the explorer's ring and walk southeast; or you can use your home teleport and walk west to Draynor from Lumbridge.

startmap.png

Leela will ask you to check out the pyramid south of Uzer, and contact the mummy who is inside it. To get there, you can either use the Fairy Ring and go east (Code D-L-Q), or you can go to Shantay Pass. You can use a ring of dueling to get there faster. Make sure you have things to help survive in the desert (like waterskins/enchanted water tiara and desert robes), some armour and a weapon, some coins (at least 200), and a teleport to anywhere. Now enter the gates and take the carpet ride to Uzer. (You will need to remove your weapon for the ride.) Once in Uzer, head south to stumble on the pyramid.

mappc.png

Now, enter the pyramid (If you log out while in it, you will log in outside of the pyramid). Here is a map of inside the pyramid for reference throughout the quest:

mapssb.png

There will be two small rooms at the start; enter the one that has a cave leading off of it. You will see a skeleton on the ground. Right-click and rummage it.

rummage.png

This will bring it to life and it will become a Skeleton Looter (Level 41). Kill it and it should drop one of the following items: Pyramid Journal, a Mummy Hand, a Canopic Jar, and a Scroll of the Dead. Wander around the pyramid (stay on this floor) and keep killing skeletons until you get all four items. Keep in mind there is one skeleton near some fake doors that will be behind a wall trap, so watch out for that. When you gather up all four items, you will get this message:

16ii61k.png

Now return to Leela with your newly obtained items.

The Start of Reconstruction

Leela will take interest in the Scroll of the Dead that you obtained. After reading it, she will ask that you reconstruct the mummy inside the pyramid.

To start, head to Ali Morrisane, who is in northern Al-Kharid (at the quest symbol to the west of the gnome glider). To get there you can walk or quickly use a ring of dueling. You will need to talk to him about the ways you can contact the mummy in the pyramid. He will tell you that he does have a copy of Senliten's official name. Unfortunately, he will only give it to you if you get him a glass of sq'irk juice.

To get the juice, head south to the little house and right click teleport on the apprentice. You should now be in the Sorceress's Garden minigame. Go to any season and obtain enough fruit of the same season to make sq'irk juice (This will take 5 fruit from Winter, 4 from Spring, 3 from Autumn, and 2 from Summer). Now use your pestle and mortar on the fruit while you have an empty beer glass in your inventory. You should now have the juice. Head back to Ali Morrisane with the juice.

image3.png

Give the juice to Ali and he will give you a "Copied Name" scroll. When you read it, you'll notice that he made errors while copying it. Equip your Ring of Charos (a) and speak to him again. You will get the actual scroll.

Now, head to the Varrock library. To get there, head to the bank at Shantay Pass or the one in Al-Kharid and grab a teleport. Or you could simply walk there (Which may be more convenient because you could grab an Al-Kharid flier on the way, which you will need later on in the quest). Once at the library, speak with Reldo. Ask him about the pyramid, however, he will tell you he needs an Al-Kharid flier to copy the documents (You could get one of these from the boy advertising north of the mining pit in Al-Kharid). Once you give Reldo the flier he will give you the Scroll of Praise.

image2.png

Now head back to Al-Kharid, using either a ring of dueling or by walking, and get your desert gear and items ready. Make sure you have armour, weapon, food, prayer potion (If you're below 70 prayer), knife, a willow log, 20 Fire runes, wine, spice, grain, pot, hammer, and a saw. Also, before you leave, make sure you have put the spice you have in your wine and put the grain you have in your pot. Finally, head back to the pyramid by taking the carpet to Uzer and traveling south.

Contact

Go inside the pyramid and head to the imposing doors. You will see a golem. Try going down the stairs, the golem won't allow you. You have to attack it, however it can only be affected by crush attacks. If your weapon doesn't have a crush attack, remove your weapon and use your hands. (Hands work too because they work as a crush style)

Now go down the stairs and pick up the one jar to the west. Now head east (Past a few level 41 scarabs) to pick up two more Canopic Jars and a mummy with no hands (You are able to combine the mummy hands with the mummy). Then go back to the south of the staircase to find a puzzle.

The puzzle is totally random for each person. Just make sure you have some food and make your way across. The best way is to stick to the red/yellow tiles or blue/green tiles. Stepping from green to red, red to blue, yellow to green, or blue to yellow will trigger a trap. Also, stepping on different colored tiles will cause a certain color of tiles to rise. The damage of triggering a trap can be in the 20's depending on your hitpoints level.

image5.png

After you're across, head to the room with sarcophagus and start repairing.

-Fix the chair and table

-Repair all the statues (You lose prayer doing this).

-Place the four Canopic jars on the shelf

-Replace the broken jug with your spiced wine.

-Replace the broken pot with your pot of flour next to the wine.

-Fix the statue by using a knife and willow log. Try it a few times until you receive the clarification that it is complete.

queeno.png

Some of the tasks do not have to be totally completed in order to reach 75% completion. After you've done a good portion of the tasks above, head east and kill the first level 41 Tumeken's Shadow. Then light the one of the torches, which is done with fire runes (the torches are lit in a random order for everyone, keep trying to light them until it works). The next shadow will appear and be a bit higher level. Kill it and light another torch. Do this with the last two torches, and kill the shadows (Max level of the shadows is 74).

wmmhead.gifNow go back to the earlier room and have a chat with the queen. You can also give her the two scrolls you earned earlier from Reldo and Ali to gain some completion. (Make sure your progress is at least 75% by checking your quest journal or the scroll of the dead) After talking, go back to Leela in Draynor Village and speak with her. Quest Complete!

You might want to state how to solve the floor puzzle. There's no trap triggered when you walk from a red to a yellow tile (or vice versa) or when you walk from a blue to a green tile (again, or vice versa).

Looks good! I like the way you have it organized.

Suggestions & my usual grammar-nerd/former professional proofreader-editor nitpicks follow:

Start: Speak to Leela who can be found near Draynor Village.

Needs a comma: "Speak to Leela, who can be found..."

Items: Shanty Passes (Obtained in quest),

Mis-spelled, should be "Shantay".

Items to survive in the desert (Like Desert robes, knife, and waterskins), Coins, Hammer, Willow Log, Spice, Grain, Pot, Saw, wine, pestle and mortar, 40 Fire Runes, Al-Kharid flier, Ring of Charos (a), and an empty beer glass for sq'irk juice.

I know you mention a knife in "items to survive in the desert", but you might want to specify it in the main list, as well; if someone uses an Enchanted Water Tiara and doesn't take a knife, they won't have it for making the statue.

Personally, I'd group the items that are used together with each other... guess I'm a bit OCD that way. ;) Also, you've got mixed capitalization (IOW half of your list is captitalized and half isn't; it looks odd)...

I'd arrange them in order something like this:

Items to survive in the desert (such as desert robes, knife, and waterskins, or Enchanted Water Tiara); coins, hammer, saw, willow log, knife, jug of wine, spice, empty pot, grain, 40 fire runes, empty beer glass, pestle and mortar, Ring of Charos (a), and Al Kharid flyer.

To start this quest, you will need to speak with Leela who is located in Draynor Village wandering around somewhere northwest of the jail. To get to Draynor, a simple route would be to teleport there with an amulet of glory or you can use your home teleport and walk west to Draynor from Lumbridge.

Run-on sentences, you need a bit more punctuation. Also, you forgot to mention cabbage-porting....

I'd edit it to read:

"To start this quest, you will need to speak with Leela, who is located in Draynor Village. She can be found wandering around somewhere northwest of the jail. To get to Draynor, a simple route would be to teleport there with an amulet of glory or to cabbage-port with the Explorer's ring and walk south; or you can use your home teleport and walk west to Draynor from Lumbridge."

You will be asked to check out the pyramid south of Uzer. She wants you to contact the mummy who is inside the pyramid.

Slightly confusing phrasing. If I were editing, I'd name Leela and condense to one sentence:

"Leela will ask you to check out the pyramid south of Uzer, and contact the mummy who is inside it.

To get there, you first need to go to The Shantay Pass. You can use a ring of dueling to get the faster. Make sure you have things to help survive in the desert (Like waterskins and desert robes), some armour and a weapon, some coins (at least 200), and a teleport to anywhere. Now enter the gates and take the carpet ride to Uzer. (You will need to remove your weapon for the ride) Once in Uzer, head south to stumble on the pyramid.

The three places I added italics need correction - should be lower case "T" ("the Shantay Pass"); "the" should be "there"; should be lower-case "L" in "like".

Now, enter the pyramid, there will be two small rooms at the start, enter the one that has a cave leading off of it.

Run-on sentence, easily corrected by changing punctuation:

"Now, enter the pyramid. There will be two small rooms at the start; enter the one that has a cave leading off of it."

This will bring it life and it will become a Skeleton Looter (Level 41)

Sentence needs a period at the end:

This will bring it life and it will become a Skeleton Looter (Level 41).

Kill it and it should drop one of the following items: Pyramid Journal, a Mummy Hand, a Canopic Jar, and a Scroll of the Dead. Wander around the pyramid (Stay on this floor) and keep killing skeletons until you get all four items.

Two small corrections: "and" should really be "or", and "Stay" should be lower-case (stay).

Leela will take interest into the Scoll of the Dead that you obtained.

"Into" should be "in".

To start head to Ali Morrisane who is in Al-Kharid.

Needs commas, and you might want to specify where Ali is: "To start, head to Ali Morrisane, who is in northern Al-Kharid (at the quest symbol to the west of the gnome glider). "

You should now be in the Sorceresses Garden minigame.

Mis-spelled - it's "Sorceress's Garden".

Go to any season and obtain 5 fruit of the same season (This will take at least 5 attempts)

Incorrect. Different seasons need different amounts of fruit: Winter needs 5, Spring needs 4, Autumn needs 3, Summer needs 2.

Also, I'd suggest verifying that Ali will take Winter juice. We know he takes Autumn or Summer, but they're *higher* than the Spring juice that the quest journal specifies.

Or you could simply walk there. Once at the library speak with Reldo. Ask him about the pyramid, however he will tell you he needs an Al-Kharid flier to copy the documents (You could get one of these from the boy advertising north of the mining pit in Al-Kharid). Once you give Reldo the flier he will give you the Scroll of Praise.

It may be worth mentioning that if you walk to Varrock, you can get the flier en route?

If your weapon doesn't have a crush attack, remove your weapon and use your hands. (Hands work aswell)

Typo, needs a space between "as" and "well".

Now go down the stairs and head east (Passed a few level 41 scarabs)

Should be "past" rather than "passed", and shouldn't be capitalized.

to pick up two more Canopic Jars and a mummy with no hands.

Three jars, not two... also I'd mention that you can combine the mummy and the hand.

The puzzle is totally random for each person.

The pattern is different, but it always works the same way - I really think you need to tell people how the colors work!

-Fix the chair and table

-Repair all the statues (You lose prayer doing this).

-Place the four Canopic jars on the shelf

-Put the spice you have in your wine and replace it with the broken wine jug.

-Put the grain you have in your pot and replace it with the broken pot next to the wine.

-Fix the statue by using a knife and willow log. Try it a few times until you receive the clarification that it is complete

Erm.... why would you tell people to wait until you get there to combine the wine/spice and grain/pot? Much better, IMO, to combine them while stocking up for the trip to the pyramid, and have more inventory space for food or whatever else is needed.

Some of the tasks do not have to be totally completed in order to reach 75% completion.

Shouldn't you let people know that you can check your exact "Restoration Progress" with either the Journal or the Scroll of the Dead? (I posted a graphic of it in the other thread.)

As I said at the beginning, overall it looks good! :P

Items advised: Enchanted water tiara. I saves on waterskins a lot and, since you wear it, doesn't need inventory spaces for skins.

You can traverse the multi-coloured floor very easy by only taking damage once. Red-yellow and green-blue are the colours that 'should' be used. Start with the red-yellow sequence and when stuck switch to green-blue. One time damage only (though it hits hard... 25 for me).

Also, I'd suggest verifying that Ali will take Winter juice. We know he takes Autumn or Summer, but they're *higher* than the Spring juice that the quest journal specifies.

Confirmed ;)

Items advised: when below level 70 prayer you might want to take a few prayer potions. You would need at least 70 to restore all statues

You state you need 40 fire runes. Not true, you only need 20 (5 per lit 'bowl')

Some of the tasks do not have to be totally completed in order to reach 75% completion. After you've done a good portion of the tasks above, head west and kill the first level 41 Kumetan's Shadow. Then light one of the torches

Kumetan should be Tumeken

Also, for the items, add "Enchanted Water Tiara" to the desert survival equipment

It's Tranquility, only one l.

-Fix the statue by using a knife and willow log. Try it a few times until you receive the clarification that it is complete

Not really true: You cannot fix the statue unless you 'know how she looks'. The only way to 'learn' this is to kill the shadow in the next room and lighting the burners, using the fire runes. I don't know if the order is different for all players. For me it was east burner, west burner, north burner, south burner. You need to kill the shadow 5 times in all. All but the last are level 41, the last one was level 72 (I think). Only after this you can 'repair' the statue. Using your knife multiple times increases the detail.

-Replace your spiced wine with the broken wine jug.

-Replace your pot of flour with the broken pot next to the wine.

Seems you got these two the wrong way around: Replace the broken wine jug with the spiced wine, Replace the broken pot with Pot of grain (not flour).

Spiced wine: Use Spice with Jug of wine. Pot of grain: Use Grain with Empty pot.

I'm new to helping with guides, so I'm not very good at anything yet.
